I’m not sure why people find yuji boring as a character. Yes, he has that Mary sue attitude where he wants to help everyone but he actually tries, but mostly fails. I kind of see yuji as what it’d be like if an actual kid randomly found themselves in this kind of position.
The first clip when I read about it, I thought "that make a cute after credit scene." You know, a nice break from all the trauma. But instead, what MAPPA did was downright diabolical & mean. AND THEN the scene immediately after seeing Yuuji through the eye socket was just adding salt to the wound. MAPPA just keeps twisting the knife in our side.
Honestly Yuji would fit right in the Fate or Type-Moon Nasuverse. They highlight mainly on how the world bullies and corrupts innocent souls into the adults.
