I remember Time Bandits. I graduated High School 1982. I worked in the Theater here in Forks,Wa during all my HS years when the movie came out. Good movie
Great job! Victory! 🎉 thanks for the update! Its cool that you enjoy repairing things like old cameras, I have tried it and been just overly befuddled when I see the complexity of these machines. I have an old 1950s rangefinder that I have been working on but it too has been very hot. Can't do very much in an oven of a house, let alone focus on technical stuff lol. Thanks for the content
I know that sight all too well in your thumbnail... Your ME Super repair videos are what brought me to your channel originally. I have enjoyed bringing ME supers back to life!
Reminds me when I repaired a sticky ME Super mirror box, put it all baxk together, then the flash didn’t work. After sweating about it, it was just the contact in the top plate not touching. Felt silly after fixing that!
I have a really nice little Olympus OMG with 50mm that I loved shooting. It is like the OM 20 I am told just different name. Big bright viewfinder for a small consumer level camera. But for some reason it has trouble advancing the film now and can't rewind it after shooting half a roll. Such a bummer maybe I should give it to you.
Do you know what I could trouble shoot if I am getting full power to the pcb board from the battery, but I’m not getting any power to the LED’s in the viewfinder?
If the ME Super was able to do 1/2000 shutter speed, why didn't Pentax make an SLR in that era that was fully mechanical and could achieve the same speeds? It baffles me why they continued to produce 1/1000 speed bodies forever. An ME super with mechanical inputs (not buttons) would have been excellent!
I think if I tried hard enough I could tune up an MX to get to 1/2000th, I’d like to try to meld the ME Super and MX body though because I think the ME Super Shutter is pretty elite but the dial of the MX is really unbeatable, I’ll get to workshopping something like that 😎
A clean desk? What channel am I watching? I'm pretty sure I can repair almost any consumer electronic, but as soon as the cover comes off an analog camera I'm outty 5000.
I was inspired by your gifts to finally get my act together and create a "clean work environment" but good to know I still have the corner when it comes to outdated technology repairs
