I think there's a great lesson to be learnt from Jackpot's downfall. Professionalism is just as important as, if not more important than skill and talent. It was the one thing Jackpot was lacking when they made thier racist remarks, and it costed them thier legacy. Even if its 'just a game', if you're going to participate in high profile events, you need to consider taking your reputation and professional conduct, both in and out of these events very seriously.
Unfortunately not true. There were offensive remarks only a few months prior + questionable content on twitter promoting the use of the n word@@timcrnkovich4326
This is amazing Titally bro, I can see the effort and your naturally funny. Im praying that your numbers skyrocket because this is the sort of stuff we need more of.

It's short and simple, exactly like how it was in actuality I think it's a good conclusion as it reflects the abruptness of it all especially with the amazing community they had brought together before it.
this is probably one of the most refreshing videos i’ve seen in months. as a female comp player, i was too scared to ever put myself out there simply because i had heard stories of women being shut down time and time again. i stumbled across jackpot a couple months before they won NA championships, and they not only became my greatest inspiration, but entirely abolished my anxiety about existing as a woman in the scene. i lurked in their streams every day for months and studied how they coordinated, went back and watched all the s2 content i could find of them both as a team and individually. seeing q and leafi succeed was enough to motivate me and let me easily reach midlevel. the backlash they received on twitter was absolutely warranted, but it was very obvious that an overwhelming majority of people posting about them did not know who they actually were and jumped to a slew of unreasonable conclusions while digging for dirt (like the fried chicken tag and the faked screenshots of madness.) thank you for taking the time to actually talk to ren and cover their s2 history; i don’t think i’ve ever seen anyone put this much effort into a jackpot video. and thank you for simply acknowledging their mistakes and moving on without farming for drama content, i was extremely nervous that this would be another dunk on them despite them having apologized multiple times and expressed how awful they felt about the situation. amazing content man, i hope to see more in the future.
Coming from a Nonbinary afab (Female at birth), I understand where you're coming from, but I feel like you're giving them too much leaniance just because they're, well, Jackpot. I completely understand feeling inspired seeing another woman in the competitive gaming scene be so great at what she does, but you need to set aside your biases when discussing this kinda stuff. Ask yourself, "If this wasn't Jackpot, would I still be this forgiving?" Although some of the stuff is old, there is still recent stuff as well. Heck, just you saying that people should try to learn more about Jackpot before having an opinion on the situation tells me that you saw the situation as "It's Jackpot, so it's not that bad." Just because they've apologized multiple times and "feel bad" doesn't make everything negligent, and it's still perfectly valid for someone to refuse to forgive them, you need to realize that their actions do genuine harm and isn't just a little oopsie. Also, maybe there's some smaller channels that did infact just milk the situation, but I don't think I saw almost anyone milking it, people just treated it with the seriousness it needed to be treated with and spoke out against it, showing their distain and explaining why they believed the things done were so wrong, I think that's valid. Just please be aware of your biases when looking at situations like this, I know it can be hard but not doing so can cause genuine harm.
When mixing your audio I try to take 10 seconds and upload it as private then watch on both my desktop and phone to make sure its good. Great video but the audio could do some work
@@htsunmiku idk about OP, but for me I'm surprised because they look way older in person. I'm a forever-uni-student-looking asian living in asia so what can I say. When I found out their ages, their recklessness started to make sense.
@@jjQlLlLq i assumed their "i thought i had time" meant they're surprised someone similarly aged already went pro, in comparison to them (which. btw op there's no time or age limit. you still have time.). But uh yh...ngl you'd think gen z's at this point (who wants to go pro at something) would understand whatever they say/do online could be brought up later. (even worse if it's something Nintendo-related. they really care about rep)
I really liked jackpot as a team before all the drama and the editing on this vid is so good, just wanted to say really good video Edit: I finished watching the video, (no glaze) AND HOLY ITS SO GOOD like the editing and the music are just soo good, definetly subbing
Not gonna lie to you, I was very disappointed with Jackpot and that's why I've never used the Jackpot banner in Splatoon 3 game anymore and I'm very glad that Nintendo has made the right move this time to take the trophy back after the team Jackpot has been evoked and vacated.
Interesting video on the rise and fall of the team. I remember seeing the drama on X but I personally could care less as I do not care about competitive splatoon. However I did enjoy star burst when I did watch a few matches when Nintendo promoted grands during splatoon two and early three since star burst was winning everything at the time, so I just default to the winning team.
weren't they kids when they said all that stuff? unless any of those screenshots were from when they were adults and recent... idk man. sad to see how at their peak they lost literally everything a week after lol.
There was an undertow scrim clip where they were calling the black people in the other team "monkeys" and it was, at the time, a pretty recent one, and you could tell because of the undertow rework. No excuses
The worst its that some people still see them as heroes and do not see anything wrong with them its sad they are like that and are not about to let friend or family member be in interracial relationship. If they were nice people they would still have their winning prize instead of disqualified and revokation.
Excellently-made video bud 😄
My only suggestion is that sometimes the music volume was a bit too loud, thus making it a bit hard to hear the narration
Ye i'm very Mad abt this unfort i can't back down :( i'll do better next time and publish subtiles to make up for it
@TitallySpl I think a lot of it was just you leaning away from the mic bc you would sometimes got quieter as well

Exactly !
this is true, but with the exception of the undertow clip, everything they did or said was from years before they were contending for the #1 spot
more like having basic human empathy to not be racist

Thank you for all of this, I learned well throught an incredibly well edited video. Also the use of Phoenix at 26:00 makes it eprfect !
lower the volume of the music dude, i can barely hear you
Amazing video!!! This kind of storytelling is what the scene needs
One of the BEST splatoon video ive seen, good job!
As someone who made a video about this, I can say that this is pretty good!
Jackpot, more like JackASS
You barely talked about the fall of jackpot

hiii!!
I want more of those "the blank situation" "the rise and fall of blank" types of videos on splatoon so silly
Incroyable vidéo 🙏
Le volume inconsistent de ta voix va pas le faire, la musique est plus forte que ta voix.
