Batangas City was known as Semarang of Calabarzon(named after the City of Semarang in Jawa Tengah) because on main reason is the city loved Puteri Indonesia, aside the city loved Semarang so much and has many Patroness of the city: 1.Catherine Stumer of Jawa Tengah 2.Irene Gracia of Lampung 3.Bela Puspita Dalimi of Jambi 4.Nurkhotimah of DKI Jakarta 5.Elisha Lumintang of Sulawesi Utara 6.Juni Safitri of DKI Jakarta 7.Sindy Novela of Jambi The Governor of Batangas Province was Hermilando Mandanas and apparently he was a good friend with Jawa Tengah Governor Ganjar Pranowo known as Gray Friends because of it’s gray color but Mandanas is older than Pranowo, he was 76 while Ganjar was 58 but they loved each other because Batangas loved Indonesia things like Alfamart
Nothing better then walking around in PI friendly filipinos everywere easy to make friends and they have great memories never forget a friendly visitor too
Based on my observation, Lipa city seems to be more commercialized than Batangas city, but the latter is more organized and has less hectic streets, which is kinda surprising knowing that Batangas city is the capital of Batangas province.

The provincial Port is located in Batangas city which is a jumping point to famous Puerto Galera
