I love this little saw. Its not made for big jobs like cutting 4×4s and 4 inch steel pipe. Its bassicly made for plumbers for getting into tight places like under a sink or behind a toilet. Its for cutting smaller pipe. I use mine more than I use my full size sawzall. Pvc cpvc copper and wood trim. Its not for all trades.

It’s small size is an advantage. Like you said it’s not for all trades. Yet cutting a copper pipe it will shred right through it. An old galvanized pipe. I use the m18 fuel version of this more. Yet their is times I needed to make cuts in tight spots and this came in handy. Do you have the m12 copper cutter? I had a pipe to cut and close with a cap in a very tight bay with wood surrounding almost on all three sides. The m12 copper cutter fit and then pro pressed. For copper the m12 copper cutter is very handy up to 1”

Hacker you can keep the M12 tools. I'm going M18 fuel I need lots of power and speed. I just don't have that kind of time to wait for that blade to go through so slow. Time is money. I hope I didn't hurt your feelings lol. Peace brother

I already have the m18 fuel of this tool. I like both, yet this one fits into places I couldn’t get the m18. The m18 does have balls. I had to chop a 1-3/16” blower shaft on a trane voyager. Would never want to attempt that with m12, yet for most applications the m12 is all I need.
