@Maushine so many donkey's years ago of the Past that actually Foster's Lager was the very most popular beer in Australia & Yes I really do still love Fosters to this day right now & my other very old favourite beers that I do really do love when I used to live & also holidayed in Queensland but mainly in (NQ North Queensland) like Mount Isa, Cairns, Townsville & Mackay were both Cairns Draught & (NQ North Queensland) Lager which they were by (C.U.B Carlton United Breweries) in Cairns in North Queensland & also originally being from Mount Isa as a Queenslander (Banana Bender) myself is that I do drink Fourex Beer & another Queensland beer called Brisbane Bitter that was also been made by (C.U.B Carlton United Breweries) but in (Briisie) Brisbane in the very early (1980s) & there was also Powers Bitter Beer also from late (80s) &/or the early (90s) who were the sponsors of the new Brisbane Broncos Rugby League Team at that time of course.
But I DON'T really like having Bundaberg (Bundy) Rum on its own by itself at all but I like most people would prefer to have it with Coca Cola as in Rum & Coke with Ice to ease both the Strength & Taste of the Rum itself & also Bundaberg (Bundy) Rum can be used for as a Marinade your Food/s & also Cooking especially Christmas Dinners to make a Rum Sauce for a Christmas (Pudd) Pudding & also making Rum Flavoured Egg Nogg Drinks & also Bananas cooked in Rum as Bananas Au Rhum which is a Sweet &/or Dessert of course.

To enjoy Bundaberg Rum for the taste and not just the effect you have to mix it with another drink as being a dark Rum made from sugar cane its taste can be brutal. Coke Cola is one popular mixer along with ginger beer (Dark and Stormy) or ginger ale. There are also cocktails made on Bundy Rum and pineapple juice that are interesting. The Bundaberg Rum factory does also produce some special aged rums and liqueurs that are much smoother and less harsh on the palette, although these are generally much more expensive and harder to find.

You need not worry, you can't offend rum drinkers, they have no taste. I noticed the white wine you had was a Pinot Grigio. Try a Sauvignon Blanc with or without Semillon. It's probably the best white we make in this country, and it doesn't have to be expensive to taste good. The best value are Wolf Blass, Jacob's Creek, or Yellow Tail. I'm sure you weren't getting a little drunk near the end, especially you, Maureen, haha!! Great video guys, such hard work(!!) and you did it very well.

Bundaberg is a city in Queensland. They pronounce it like bun. Bun-da-berg. Bundaberg is best known for its Rum, since Queensland is rich in sugar plantations. They also grow macadamia nuts therefore they make Nougat too! Brewed soft drinks and a dozen or more other flavours are also made in Bundaberg.

Some of those beers are most popular due to their costs (alcohol is sooo heavily taxed in Oz) Don't feel bad about some of your dislikes. Everyone's palette is different. At least you've given them a go. I wouldn't even try half the things you did. Don't feel bad about the Bundy Rum. You either love it or hate it (there's no inbetween) but for the record I'm a huge Bundy fan ( beer bloats me, white wine gives me a headache, red wine gives me upset stomachs ) but don't know a single person who would drink it neat (not even myself) The secret is not to drink too strong a mix. Hot day, tall glass, lots of ice and always with coke. If you find you like that then try a more top of the range Bundy (about 5 levels) Bundy Black or Blenders or Solero are the 3 best (but most expensive ones)

@@Maushine Have you tried Milo yet? (My low). It’s a food drink with a bland chocolate taste, which is why Aussies ram up the flavour by using a couple of tablespoons in a glass or mug! We even eat it directly from the tin or spoon it over a bowl of ice cream! 😃😋😋. Look for the green tins in the supermarket. Always use a dry spoon and reseal it tightly because it absorbs moisture from the air in much the same way that instant coffee granules do.
