He was playing at an elite level this year... speed, strength, finishing, aggression, nastiness, aerial threat, physicality, hold-up play... he was great at EVERYTHING. Last real striker we've had and it's killed us since he left.

player for player and quality match City are way better KDB is better than Pedro / Hazard and Mahrez is surely light years ahead of Willian let's not even get started on comparing the defense line or the consistency of both teams and managers also 2018 City played with this exact Chelsea team and Chelsea didn't even manage a shot not even 1 shot off target
@@omaralkayal7598 nah this team won 2014/15 and 2016/17 with an off season in between. Also I said prime, this Chelsea team was not in their prime by the time Man city won the next year. Players moved on such as Oscar who was one of the best young players in Europe, John Terry left, Diego Costa the most clinical striker in the premier league left after the winning season, Matic who bossed the midfield left after the winning season. So no, the team that played City the next season was not the same team, so many of the key players left. Also players like Gary Cahill and Cesc Fabregas would leave the following year and were out of their prime by the time city won the league. Prime 2016/17 Chelsea manhandles this current city team. That Chelsea team had an ability to attack like I didn’t see before in the premier league.

Matic is so underrated. I knew that his main role was giving Fabregas more freedom by doing all the dirty work at the back or being a anchor with kante but he did so many important passes and assits. He was one of the key players for Conte's 3-4-3

Even the defenders back then are better at scoring goals than our current strikers. Apart from Ziyech and probably Sterling, no one even dares to shoot from long range anymore.
