another thing is that Turo in the Violet version says "I've tamed my death" while Sada says "I tamed my death" refering to Turo talking as if he's in the future and Sada talking as if she's in the past

I like how when the parts where Sada is encouraging our victory, one of her eyes goes back to normal, while in the parts where she’s trying to kill us, she has both eyes be robotic

1:29 is how I've always imagined this to play out. Where the *optimal protocol* is just send everything at once overpowering the MC leading to them doing same and causing an all out brawl between the pokemon
I imagined the same, although against Turo since I'm mainly a Violet player. Although I also imagined that his Iron Valiant would turn on him after seeing the bonds between the MC and his Gallade and Gardevoir. Also the optimal protocol would be Protocol 3: Protect the Pilot.
Can we just take a moment yo appreciate how fucking RAW the line 'I tamed my death' is? Koraidon killed Real Sada, and then AI Sada uses it to try and kill the protags and keep the time machine running, and she's essentially bragging about it, to us and to Sada. The delivery on it too was just perfection.
One detail i like about both versions is that Sada's AI, focused of the primal past, sounds colder in tone in the second half. Meanwhile Turo's AI, who is focused of the efficienct future, has more of a burning rage tone of voice in the second half. Nice touch.
With both Sada and Turo’s versions, we have to see a mashup to compare their lyrics! Maiden’s and Tom’s performances of similar lyrics were legendary, and imagine hearing breaks in between same lyrics to counterparts (that doesn’t make complete sense but you get my point!)
I had no idea there was a second version of this with Maiden singing as Sada! What an absolute joy to hear! Maiden, you crushed this one! And the lyrics are similar but have such a great difference between the two versions as well. Great job, Juno!
I dont think anyone has pointed this out yet, but i like the fact in either version, the Protagonists team also fits with the Past/Future theme. Pokemon that are a bit more futuristic appearing in the Violet version where Scarlet has Pokemon that look like they wouldn't be out of place in the past.
A neat thumbnail detail that's probably unintentional. Turo has his pokeball in the right side of the image, the future is typically on the right side of the line Sada has hers on the left, which is where the past usually is on a timeline
1:26 the team here matches the theme of primal power pretty well. Annihilape: primal instinct of “PUNCH GOOD MAKE GREAT TACTIC!” And the fact that it’s a ghost shows that raw power won’t solve every problem. Tinkaton: creating a tool out of fallen enemies is exactly what Cavemen did to innovate their hunting methods. Spidops: weaving traps to catch prey and weaving clothes with silk to keep others warm during a time where heated buildings and comfort wasn’t a thing. Wo-Chien: an *ancient* cursed set of tablets given life. Corviknight: an example of how evolution means prioritizing what keeps your species alive instead of being flashy. Revavroom: a mon that fits the primitive aspect due to making its wheels out of stone, and the future aspect by literally being a car.
Ah, Revavroom my beloved! It doesn't matter if you're dealing with dinosaurs or robots, when in doubt, HIT THEM WITH A FUCKING CAR. The singing is banger too, props to both musicians for their talent and skill as well as Juno's writing and editing, but we can't forget Juno making sure Pokémon's own answer to the DeLorean cameos in both videos.
A line that sticks with me is “Only you can stand up all alone” Cause, it really is only you. You have Koraidon. You brought your friends together, but here and now, it’s just you, quite possibly fighting for your life. And you’re just a kid…
My soul leaving my body when Juno makes 2 absolute bangers: I'm completely serious when I say these are two of your best covers yet. The subtle differences between them (the lyrics relating to the professor's respective time period; the energies Maiden and Tom bring to AI Sada and Turo [Sada being wild and almost feral at the start becoming colder and more composed, and Turo being cold and royal at the start becoming wilder and angrier, THAT'S SO GOOD]; even the items Juliana uses during the Legendary part relate to the time period??? You really don't skip any details, do you?) AND THE FACT YOU MADE TWO AT ALL? Scarlet and Violet may have had a big share of problems, but the music sure isn't one of them. Absolutely incredible work as usual!

Imagine you're an Omanyte chilling in the Cambrian Era when this pink demon snatches you out of the water with it's head appendage and the last thing you see is that face before the world around you goes black. The next thing you know, you're in a cold laboratory floor and a similar species is looking at you with a cheerful expression as you scramble away for your life.
That might be the most terrifying Scream Tail I've ever seen. Incredible work. (And I do love Tinkaton helping to defeat the primordial beasts. Iron Age goes brrrr.)
I used the Titan Greak Tusk on Sada. The irony that is having my invasive monstrocity stop the end of Paldea was hilarious but also super fun. It's like the Great Tusk was a villain-turned-hero.
The Paradise Protection IS the actual professor. The AI was made to replicate Sada’s mannerisms and ideals, but it saw the Logic and the cost of the professor’s plans, and that’s why you need to battle it. Not to stop the AI Professor but to stop the paradise protection protocol which completely replicated the professor, even her plan to destroy Paldea’s ecosystem by mixing it with pokemon from the past
Professor Sada was obsessed with the ancient past, Professor Turo with the distant future. For both of them, the AI Professor represents an alternate present - and the Paradise Protection Protocol acts as their malevolent ghost.
You know based on how weak the 7 regular paradox pokemon are I thought what's the big deal after fighting enteis and raikous paradox forms however I'm thinking maybe that machine should just stay off
The AI was created by Sada (/Turo) at a point where she still hadn't lost it, she was starting to get obsessed with her project but hadn't completed the time machine yet and still had her priorities in sight, although she was already neglecting them. This is why AI Sada shows common sense, empathy and also love for Arven, because back when she was created, the real Sada wasn't completely engulfed by her own obsession yet. The Paradise Protection Protocol is basically an updated version of AI Sada that replicated the professor's mindset shortly before her departure, so unlike AI Sada, the Paradise Protection Protocol is absolutely obsessed with Sada's project and has completely lost all common sense and rationality. Both AIs represent Sada/Turo fully, but at two different stages of their descent into madness: AI Sada/Turo it's the professors at the beginning of this journey, the Paradise Protection Protocol it's them at the end, when the Time Machine was completed but the second Koraidon/Miraidon wasn't dragged into the present yet. In a way, AI Sada/Turo had the time to partially develop something resembling their own personality and experiences (and form their beliefs from them), because they lived side by side with the professor, witnessed their death and were able to observe the world around them, albeit from Area Zero. On the other hand, Paradise Protection has zero experience of anything because it was created merely as a weapon and not as something meant to help and support a human. AI Sada/Turo, at their very core, were created to help and support the professor and were given something resembling humanity because they also kept their creator company and gave their own input in the project. AI Sada/Turo are meant to replicate a full human being. The Paradise Protection Protocol, on the other hand, was only gifted obsession and violence and that is all it knows, because it wasn't created to replicate a human but only the human desire to accomplish something at all costs with no drawbacks or moral dilemmas.
These two are easily some of your best work yet Juno, fantastically done, really. I can tell I'm going to be jamming to these for a while. Both Tenebrismo and MaidenofMine did incredible going between the true professor's personality and the remorseful AI. Seriously heart pounding stuff man.
I love the details of the singing and the swapping between Sada and the Ai. When she sings,"Lay your blade down and" and it going into Sada singing, "See the pain that those ancient beasts will bring." And that so much of her lyrics have double meanings. As in the ai is saying to give up in the face of primal strength while Sada is saying to see the horrible power that the ancient pokemon have that will tear apart the region. I also love the difference between Sada's singing which is more aggressive feeling and lets her emotions run free like an animal and Turo's singing which feels more cold like a machine.
I think you have it backwards; Sada is the one that wanted the ancient Pokémon to roam free and rule, the AI has realized the original’s mistakes and encourages you to stop what she started. You make an excellent point though

I played Scarlet. You really captured the vibe of fighting an AI who defied their own creator but was bound to the chains of their own code. And at the end, when you're facing down a Pokemon that was LITERALLY confirmed to have canonically killed a character, the person who's voice comes out through the robot before you, I felt that fear. The terrifying message of "Running would just put everyone else in danger!" Like, that's TRUE. This pokemon has KILLED someone. So to see the courage of my friend Koraidon, having to face someone who killed his friend, perhaps even a motherly figure as well, what a brave little sandwich loving bike lizard. The cover was so good that it brought out all this thought from me. I also watched the Violet one, I love that one as well. Nice job.

The Koraidon scene really makes me teary, with such growth showing in it, and having to stand up for everyone. Also, I truly feel for Arven. Out of everyone, he lost the most. 😢

Alright, these videos have convinced me that Scarlet and Violet should have been a musical. Partly joking aside, I love these lyrics. The lyrics are so visceral.
I love that the duality of the two Koraidon/Miraidon is even showed by the pokeballs used to catch them. Ours is caught with a pokeball (the weakest) and the other with a master ball (the strongest)
A freaking ADORE the growl AI Sada controlled by the Paradise Protection Protocol lets out when saying Koraidon, really showing just how lost she becomes in Sada's will to keep the time machine going, almost as if turning primitive herself.
I listened to both of the versions back to back. And I noticed a lot of really cool details. Turos voice is usually very smooth, calm, collected, and a ton of held chords and notes... You could say modern. Sadas voice is the exact opposite, rough, anxious, energetic, with very obvious growls and gravel in the voice when she says 'Koraidon!'... You could say savage. Both are very powerful voices however. And they each compliment the theme of the song to a tea. It's the little things, incredible job Juno!
Wow, projects like this where you add lyrics to songs that don't have any, and have it be surprisingly fitting, is a rare and impressive sight! Impressive work!

The climax on this game is at another level. AI Sada did nothing wrong. She was willing to help you stop Sada's plan, but was forced to follow her programing of the real professor that went crazy until her death, and that obsession went too far to even send the other Koraidon to actually kill you and your friends by locking everybody's pokeballs.
One thing I noted. Sada's lyrics: Time goes on... Whilst using a team of Pokémon *LOST TO TIME* Turo's lyrics: Life goes on... Whilst using a team of Pokémon *DEVOID OF LIFE* Does this mean something?
The chorus at 1:48 and 4:30 hit like a truck. It was already my favorite part of the song with the Terra Raid reprisal, but having a remorseful AI Sada begging you to stop her and encouraging you to defeat her, on top of the raw emotion in her voice, was nothing short of beautiful

The AI professors are a new and awesome approach to how AI is seen in videogames. AI is usually a villain created by learning from the world they live in and how its mind is programmed. But what if instead of trying to accomplish their goals by any means, they try to fight their own programming because they know their goal will cause destruction. AI Sada/Turo knew what the professors wanted was wrong, but they couldn't do anything about it, so they go to the protagonist for help.

I love how Turo is very monotonous and robotic while Sada is very emotional and sometimes sound almost like a shout or growl, which fits their theming perfectly Edit 1: upon further inspection, this more fittingly applies to the Paradise Protection Protocols, while the same thing to a lesser extent applies to the actual AI professors

I dont think anyone has pointed this out yet, but i like the fact in either version, the Protagonists team also fits with the Past/Future theme.
Pokemon that are a bit more futuristic appearing in the Violet version where Scarlet has Pokemon that look like they wouldn't be out of place in the past.

Spidops: weaving traps to catch prey and weaving clothes with silk to keep others warm during a time where heated buildings and comfort wasn’t a thing.
Wo-Chien: an *ancient* cursed set of tablets given life.
Corviknight: an example of how evolution means prioritizing what keeps your species alive instead of being flashy.
Revavroom: a mon that fits the primitive aspect due to making its wheels out of stone, and the future aspect by literally being a car.

The Paradise Protection IS the actual professor. The AI was made to replicate Sada’s mannerisms and ideals, but it saw the Logic and the cost of the professor’s plans, and that’s why you need to battle it. Not to stop the AI Professor but to stop the paradise protection protocol which completely replicated the professor, even her plan to destroy Paldea’s ecosystem by mixing it with pokemon from the past
Professor Sada was obsessed with the ancient past, Professor Turo with the distant future. For both of them, the AI Professor represents an alternate present - and the Paradise Protection Protocol acts as their malevolent ghost.
Exactly. And the malevolent Ghost of the Professor's true intentions rears its head when the time machine is in danger of being shut down.
You know based on how weak the 7 regular paradox pokemon are I thought what's the big deal after fighting enteis and raikous paradox forms however I'm thinking maybe that machine should just stay off
The AI was created by Sada (/Turo) at a point where she still hadn't lost it, she was starting to get obsessed with her project but hadn't completed the time machine yet and still had her priorities in sight, although she was already neglecting them. This is why AI Sada shows common sense, empathy and also love for Arven, because back when she was created, the real Sada wasn't completely engulfed by her own obsession yet.
The Paradise Protection Protocol is basically an updated version of AI Sada that replicated the professor's mindset shortly before her departure, so unlike AI Sada, the Paradise Protection Protocol is absolutely obsessed with Sada's project and has completely lost all common sense and rationality.
Both AIs represent Sada/Turo fully, but at two different stages of their descent into madness: AI Sada/Turo it's the professors at the beginning of this journey, the Paradise Protection Protocol it's them at the end, when the Time Machine was completed but the second Koraidon/Miraidon wasn't dragged into the present yet.
In a way, AI Sada/Turo had the time to partially develop something resembling their own personality and experiences (and form their beliefs from them), because they lived side by side with the professor, witnessed their death and were able to observe the world around them, albeit from Area Zero.
On the other hand, Paradise Protection has zero experience of anything because it was created merely as a weapon and not as something meant to help and support a human. AI Sada/Turo, at their very core, were created to help and support the professor and were given something resembling humanity because they also kept their creator company and gave their own input in the project.
AI Sada/Turo are meant to replicate a full human being. The Paradise Protection Protocol, on the other hand, was only gifted obsession and violence and that is all it knows, because it wasn't created to replicate a human but only the human desire to accomplish something at all costs with no drawbacks or moral dilemmas.

These two are easily some of your best work yet Juno, fantastically done, really. I can tell I'm going to be jamming to these for a while. Both Tenebrismo and MaidenofMine did incredible going between the true professor's personality and the remorseful AI. Seriously heart pounding stuff man.
I love the details of the singing and the swapping between Sada and the Ai.
When she sings,"Lay your blade down and" and it going into Sada singing, "See the pain that those ancient beasts will bring." And that so much of her lyrics have double meanings. As in the ai is saying to give up in the face of primal strength while Sada is saying to see the horrible power that the ancient pokemon have that will tear apart the region.
I also love the difference between Sada's singing which is more aggressive feeling and lets her emotions run free like an animal and Turo's singing which feels more cold like a machine.
I think you have it backwards; Sada is the one that wanted the ancient Pokémon to roam free and rule, the AI has realized the original’s mistakes and encourages you to stop what she started. You make an excellent point though

I played Scarlet. You really captured the vibe of fighting an AI who defied their own creator but was bound to the chains of their own code. And at the end, when you're facing down a Pokemon that was LITERALLY confirmed to have canonically killed a character, the person who's voice comes out through the robot before you, I felt that fear. The terrifying message of "Running would just put everyone else in danger!" Like, that's TRUE. This pokemon has KILLED someone. So to see the courage of my friend Koraidon, having to face someone who killed his friend, perhaps even a motherly figure as well, what a brave little sandwich loving bike lizard.
The cover was so good that it brought out all this thought from me. I also watched the Violet one, I love that one as well. Nice job.

Alright, these videos have convinced me that Scarlet and Violet should have been a musical. Partly joking aside, I love these lyrics. The lyrics are so visceral.
I love that the duality of the two Koraidon/Miraidon is even showed by the pokeballs used to catch them. Ours is caught with a pokeball (the weakest) and the other with a master ball (the strongest)
A freaking ADORE the growl AI Sada controlled by the Paradise Protection Protocol lets out when saying Koraidon, really showing just how lost she becomes in Sada's will to keep the time machine going, almost as if turning primitive herself.

I listened to both of the versions back to back. And I noticed a lot of really cool details.
Turos voice is usually very smooth, calm, collected, and a ton of held chords and notes... You could say modern.
Sadas voice is the exact opposite, rough, anxious, energetic, with very obvious growls and gravel in the voice when she says 'Koraidon!'... You could say savage.
Both are very powerful voices however. And they each compliment the theme of the song to a tea.
It's the little things, incredible job Juno!

The climax on this game is at another level. AI Sada did nothing wrong. She was willing to help you stop Sada's plan, but was forced to follow her programing of the real professor that went crazy until her death, and that obsession went too far to even send the other Koraidon to actually kill you and your friends by locking everybody's pokeballs.

The AI professors are a new and awesome approach to how AI is seen in videogames. AI is usually a villain created by learning from the world they live in and how its mind is programmed. But what if instead of trying to accomplish their goals by any means, they try to fight their own programming because they know their goal will cause destruction. AI Sada/Turo knew what the professors wanted was wrong, but they couldn't do anything about it, so they go to the protagonist for help.

Edit 1: upon further inspection, this more fittingly applies to the Paradise Protection Protocols, while the same thing to a lesser extent applies to the actual AI professors
And when the Paradise Protection Protocol takes hold, Sada sounds more robotic while Turo sounds more emotional.
