Wow! It seems Bangkok has really changed in a relatively short amount of time. The skyscrapers are really something incredible. It is nothing but high-rises for as far as the eye can see, in every direction. It's a very modern city, and totally different from what we were expecting.
That Thai taco or pancake is called "ขนมเบื้อง" (Kanom Bueang). There are 2 types, sweet and salty. The one you ate is the salty one which made from shrimp.
bangkok malls are on another level compared to ours, US. they are spacious, brightly lit and in the tropics, FREE air con is always refreshing and welcome to give us a break from the heat. some of the prices and food arent too much and still affordable. some good deals. enjoy
The vegetable fries is called Kui-Chai , It is a sweet but made by vegetable with a sweet-salty taste. This Kui-Chai also can be taste like a moji thing if you dont want to fry them. Both fry and moji type can be eatable, you can choose.

It’s old time Chinese food which came to Thailand since Thonburi period (the era before Rathanakosin era or Bangkok city est. 11:41 called “Kanom Buang” - “Kanom” mean snack. It’s kind of small crispy crape with two major pastry favors. The dark Orange pastry is made from Shrimp, coconut, Garlic, pepper and Coriande. The sweet pastry (which is in yellow color) favor(which seem to be the most popular) made from Egg Yalk, sugar.

I'm glad you had fun there. We have a very different experience though. We try to avoid IconSiam because when we look for anything specific then we can never find it there. IconSiam is GREAT for strolling around aimlessly, dining, and clothing shopping. However, if it's something specific we want then we malls around Siam Paragon. Let me know if you guys are interested in a colab while you're here. My channel reviews hotels and restaurant here in Bkk.
It's so funny you mention that about Iconsiam. We were going to try and find a screen protector for an iPad. All the electronics are on, I want to say the 5th floor. That Starbucks that you guys went to just opened last year as the largest store in Thailand. It is called Starbucks Reserve® Chao Phraya Riverfront, which has a Starbucks Reserve Bar in it. There is also a Teavana Bar in it.

Iconsiam! Amazing mall! I visited it 3 years ago, looks like they change the food stalls layout periodically, will visit it again when I go to Bangkok. Nice video as usual, cheers guys.
The grilled pork in the stick we call “Moo Ping” Moo means Pig and Ping means Grilling. Normally we eat it with sticky rice. *Chicken Satay is chicken seasoned by turmeric and spices, we normally eat with peanut sauce, grilled bread and Ajad (Sour sauce made from vinegar and put cucumbers in it)
The last thing u guys had was Khanom buang which Khanom means dessert and buang.. im not sure 😅 But basically it is Thai crispy pancake/crepe. There are two types, the sweet one which the topping is white creme and YELLOW thingy on top (made of egg yolks and sugar syrup) and the one that you had is salty.. ORANGE in color. It made of shredded coconut, shirmp, pepper,salt,coriander 🤤
I loved IconSiam. When I visited, it had a Ferrari, Maserati, Rolls Royce & Lambo on display, like wtf. 🤣 It's a dope place to chill out, especially when it's hot outside. 😎✌🏾

The deep fried vegetables is called Gui Chives. I believe it’s the same Chives family that grows in North America but this is a Garlic Chives. There are many kind of Gui Chives. Deep fried one, steamed one, bamboo shoot fillings, taro fillings, and so on…

The deep fried vegetable called gui-chai. It's not kale instead it's a Chinese chive filling in fried dough.the taco called kanom-buang, the filling inside is meringue top with shredded coconut for salty, egg yolk for sweet. Glad u love it. Enjoy ur vid also👍
At the 2nd floor of Icon Siam, there is a sky train going to BTS, Krung Thon Station. Then you have another choice to choose, convenient than take a boat.
That taco called ‘khanom bueng’ it’s a thai sweets and the red thingy is seasoned coconut! there’re mostly 2 types of this sweets. The coconut one is considered a salt one and another one is a sweet one, filled with ‘Phoythong’ or ‘Fios de ovos’ in Portuguese (we get these kind of thai sweet egg yolks from them)
Another way to get into this mall from your hotel is by bus number "45" to Si Phraya Pier with a little walk, moderate traffic jam but a very very long waiting and weird smell from Khlong Toei market, skytrain is recommended.

BTW, this bus route pass two future megamalls, Bangkok Mall at Bangna and One Bangkok near Lumpini Park, also you can walk from U Chu Liang bus stop to the future Dusit Central Park complex. These malls will be rise in about 5 years. If you plan to come in that time, you can explore more amazing experience in Bangkok.
I was literally at Iconsiam 2 weeks ago, I am certainly not a mall rat, but I have been to over 150 countries, and with out a doubt, this is the most spectacular mall I have ever seen. Nothing in Dubai or the US even compares.
Agreed! To be fair, we do not typically go to malls very often, but we have been to some of the malls in Dubai and we both agreed Iconsiam is much more beautifully designed and executed. Dubai Mall was very big and grand but Iconsiam is just very pretty. Side note: 150 countries! That's incredible. We would consider ourselves very fortunate to visit so much of the world. Do you travel for work?

Travel is my main hobby, so I give it a lot of focus. I'm also a member of the Travelers Century Club. So perhaps there is a some competitiveness to it.

The thing that you eat the last call “Kanom Beang “ . The name “Beang” mean roof sheet. I believe it is sheet like roof sheet that is the reason call it. The authentic version, will not put a cream but paste it with egg instead.

I would like to offer you a short trip. not far from Bangkok There is another city by the sea that is complete. both local food Long stretches of beach and of course lovely people, the place I would recommend is Hua Hin, a small district by the sea that many people overlook. ,hope you have enough time to travel, I assure you there will be many new experiences, including the small beaches that line the road into southern Thailand.

That chicken satay might be pork ( muu ping). Usually chicken satay is more yellow in color and shaped differently. Delicious nonetheless. Enjoy.
Yes. Moo Ping is grilled pork not chicken satay. Satay has some yellow color and it comes with Ar-jard dips, cucumber shallot in vinegar.

The thing that you eat the last call “Kanom Beang “ . The name “Beang” mean roof sheet. I believe it is sheet like roof sheet that is the reason call it. The authentic version, will not put a cream but paste it with egg instead.

I would like to offer you a short trip. not far from Bangkok There is another city by the sea that is complete. both local food Long stretches of beach and of course lovely people, the place I would recommend is Hua Hin, a small district by the sea that many people overlook. ,hope you have enough time to travel, I assure you there will be many new experiences, including the small beaches that line the road into southern Thailand.

OHHH guys..the Avocado smoothie is 1 of the best drink...infact I just made the smoothie here at 🏡 Arizona..cuz avocados are on sale now 30 cents. 2 for smoothies 3 for guacamole just add dices red onion & jalapeno, sour cream, salt & lime juice😋
