I would have to say Angelina is one of Norway's gift to the world. You acknowledged Aurora but some recently put on YT a complilation of music from The Voice Norway. Wow, that country is loaded with world class talent.

She has been collaborating with Toby Gad and performed at the Palladium in London and the Ivors awards with him. They will be releasing AJs version of If I Were A Boy on Friday the 31st. … and Yes she is Norways gift to the world!

Toby Gad was probably playing the piano in this, but the cello player isn't Toby. But, yes they have been collaborating recently & tomorrow, May 31, 2024, they are releasing If I Were a Boy, as a single. Later this summer they are releasing a new song they co-wrote called, Bad Valentine. I've heard it on Grandma Mery's Tik Tok channel at an informal performance & it's fantastic. Nice to see you back Leo.

@@LeoSsong written (partly with Toby's help) and first performed by BC Jean with Toby on guitar, so what you linked here is technically a cover (even if it's more famous by far).
Toby said in an recent interview, in his opinion BC Jean's version was rock and Beyonce's more R&B while Angelina's is different again (her so called jazzy pop or poppy jazz).
Hey Paul, I see what you mean. The link I provided was just to try to point out that the song, "If I Were A Boy" is by definition a cover, according to wikipedia (hopefully correctly stated :) :
"In popular music, a cover version, cover song, remake, revival, or simply cover is a new performance or recording by a musician other than the original performer or composer of the song."
Angelina is cool and all but Aurora is Norways gift to the world.
They both are gifts to the World
if you search for "21st-century Norwegian women singers" you get Aurora, Angelina Jordan and Sigrid on top, but there are at least also Sissel Kyrkjebø and Wenche Myhre. And don't forget Alan Walker and Kygo.
