Been using my A73 for 6 months already. No glitches or issues so far. Now that I updated it to one UI 5.1 it got more faster and smoother. Love my A73. 😊

Been using the A73 for 9 months and I'm totally satisfied with it. No issues and works reliably everyday.
Normal daily usage is okay with A73?

At a time when most phones get slow over years of updates it is refreshing to See Nothing actually improve the experience so much. Wish they can keep up the trend of optimizing and focusing on a single device for longer.
I use s21 fe as my primary phone and bought NP1 as my secondary phone for only rm1499 (quite affordable btw). so far, its a good midrange phone but honestly it doesn't feel like a midrange phone. However samsung s21 fe wins in the camera and speed department . I hope Nothing will thrive and becoming one of the respected tech companies in the world. I love how humble Carl Pei is as Nothing CEO.

I'm surprised by the Nothing Phone 1's cameras. Night really looks like night. Not the over brightened nights that most phones do. I hope they improve audio on the video side.

The camera is quite a strong performer on the Nothing phone , from what I've seen it doesn't over process images
In India base varient of NP1 costs 26K
And A73 costs 42k for base varients each
So NP1 is good option and I am going to buy it
great choice
1. NP has call rec option with pre announcement while a73 has it without announcement
2. A73 has better display I.e super Amoled plus
3. Dolby atmos on a73
But than again nothing has few other better features and price
So if you can go pass through the above points, go for NP

At Camera performance, I prefer the more consistent performance of the Nothing Phone and a more natural colors than the A73 also I quite like the more premium build of Nothing 1 than the A73 which has those Useless Macro and Depth lenses. Aside from camera both are great but I rather take the Nothing than the Samsung.

A 73 5g is a better choice overall mainly because of the in hand feel, the software, camera and 4 major updates
oh my god... np does not resemble the size of the sensor, you could have a 12mp Camera and a 1 inch sensor (I think the Xperia phone has one) and the a73 sucks for what it is... the nothing feels wayy more premium than the 173z and you are goingt I put a case anyways so it doesn't really matter and looks much better, the only con is the front cam, cmon who uses it lmao but is real good

Nothing phone 1 price rn in Malaysia is definitely worth it, RM1499 for the build quality and design would be enough, don't even need to talk about the spec. Just unlucky that i bought it for RM2399 months ago.

Hey Adam, looks like you didn't eat all the pies and drink too much over the holidays. Well done mate. As for this great video, I was given a nothing phone by my biz to trial. Being a hi tech geek and research scientist for many years now I loved it. It got lots of, "oooh What's that, that's cool" etc comments over the holidays and in bars. It's a great original phone and I preferred out to my biz Sammy, but may be just a gimmick for now. I'm more interested if they get funding for, and develop and sell "nothing phone 2". i have the nothing phone 1 and I agree with everything you said in the video, no regrets here. I just find it weird that whenever i put it down for the night, the next day the phone loses around 10-12% battery on stand by. Is that normal? I already turned off the AOD, activated the adaptive battery mode but same thing. I get 5-7hours screen on time during the day though which is fine.
Hey man, I personally didn’t experience such battery drain on the phone though, which Nothing OS version update are you at buddy?
I'm on Nothing OS 1.1.7 android 12. Still happy with the phone though since one full charge can last me a day, just got used to giving it a little juice before I start my day. I just find it a bit strange. im sure when android 13 officially comes out for this one battery life will improve. Love your vids by the way, more power to you man!

For you guys nothing phone 1 is little bit costlier than A73, but based on the current January Indian market "Nothing phone 1 = 318$" & "A73 = 513$" near 200$ different. From here you can find based on the price value Nothing phone 1 is much better. Also next month nothing is coming up with Android 13 update, based on the current beta review nothing improved his UI experience toooo.
The only thing keeping me away from the Nothing Phone (1) is the cornered selfie cam! I have a RealMe 8 Pro right now, been using it for just shy of 2 years and I still cannot get used to the assymetry! Here's hoping Nothing Phone (2) will have a centered punch hole cam.🥂

But you asked about which camera we think is better, however it would be nice if when you're comparing video recording showed us both in colour simultaneously. I get you want to show which one has now sound on, but I can't really compare brightness, sharpness, stabilization, etc if you jump with colours like that.

for me it's a73 which promises 4 years of software updates compared to 2 years on nothing so I can enjoy up to Android 16.

Nothing has the more true to eye imaging (photo and video). I mostly use the main and wide lense. Drives me mad that most phones only offer 8MP ultrawide cameras.
I want a phone with just 2 lenses. 108MP main, 50MP Ultrawide, OLED Display 120Hz, Aux, SD Card Slot and 8GB Ram. Thats what I need.

A really good bundle of things packed into The Nothing Phone (1) (for example good camera, better performance for daily activity, a nice display and finally it performs better in Genshin) is overall a big win for NP1
I dont know why u r prefer that A 73 over nothing interms of build...its an aluminium frame..far better than cheap plastic of a73...samsung is always overpricing their A Series with a cheaper build and pathetic haptic experience

The audio recording was probably the biggest downside for the Nothing Phone 1. That was not good at all. Hope they can/will fix it with software.

I must say, I am fully spoiled by Samsung at this point. I haven't changed phones yet, I'm still on A70, planning to change, but when tried an NP at a store, it was stock, it was clean, it was plain. I already got turned off knowing I have to make extra effort to customize...

Love you Adam happy valentine day, yes the nothing phone one will always win the battery test against the A73, due to the phone screen size the a 73 has more pixels it has to keep lit up because its a 6,7inch and the nth one is a 6,5 inch. If you want to do a battery test you'll have to compare ut to the A52s seeing it runs the same chipset and Sam screen size.
A73 is priced 510usd in India. Ridiculous pricing! While Nothing is 315$.
The only problem is that they are not available in the same price point !
The mic quality was far more superior
I'm regretting buying the Samsung S21FE due to very poor battery efficiency which highly recommend by Adam as he says the battery is fantastic.

Definitely nothing phone 1 is a slightly higher upgrade compared to pixel 5a. I believe nothing 1 is cheaper now than 5a.
There might be other phones too depending on your budget and country you're living in..

Does A73 have the typical samsung bloatware? These are the major concern for me as my experience with my wife all samsung model. It starts brilliantly but within less than a year, you can notice a major performance drop due to running apps in the background which you can't tell which is the culprit.
My xiaomi A3 still feels zippy comparing with my wife 2 years old midtier samsung phone.

well, the deal breaker for me is that nothing phone (1) i not a 5g compatible phone in MY. Would have pick-up the nothing phone over the A73 if it wasn't for that.
Anyone can confirm Nothing 1 is not 5g compatible. Someone did mentioned was a bit slower with 5g as compare others.

It can either be nothing is that good....or the they bought the market ...in a clear strategy to compete against apple..maybe they obtained a considerable funding

Thanks for the comparison. I wouldn!t buy the Nothing as early adopter, but it seems like they really work on the phone and it gets better over time. And that is refreshing when compared to Google and some issues with Pixels.
Camera is important for me, and it looks like they are working on it and again, if you check the Pixels I do not think hardware would be an issue here. It should only get better.
Really thinking about purchasing Nothing over Pixel 7 (officialy not distributed to my country) or Samsung S22 (I expect price drops as S23 arrives) to support the brand and even save a few bucks.

Wait until the s23 release in Feb then buy a S22 instead of s21fe. s22 camera is definitely better than nothing and a73.

Looks like that Samsung are getting rid of the a70 range and replacing it with the galaxy fe let's hope it will be the same price as the a70 range the a range will go up to a54 or a55 what ever will be the new one then the galaxy fe

I have problem with my N1 8/128gb. When try to use 5G (unifi mobile & celcom) it keep down to 4g. There is no issues when using the sim with iphone 14 pro and honor magic 4 pro.
