A lot of youths also choose to run away rather than "disappointing" their families. Seo Taiji And Boys, considered thee original K-pop group, released the song Come Back Home which inspired thousands of those kids to either go home, contact their families or walk into police stations and have the police ensure their families that they're OK. It took Seo Taiji 25 years to find a worthy group to pass the baton of social conscientiousness to but he officially/verbally chose a group at his 25 year anniversary concert where he performed that exact song with...BTS! 💜
This is what I love about BTS, most of their songs sound so upbeat but if you also focus on the lyrics, it hits harder. I know there are a lot of great artist in KPop industry but i love BTS the most because of the meaning of their songs.

The crazy thing is they all have master's degrees. Something they don't talk about. Their first few videos were very black and white because what they were saying was talking about things that in Korea are to the parents very black and white. To succeed you must go to school and you must study to be the best. You should also watch their introductory dances they are great. I like that you are doing the videos in order but now that you have a Patrion you should do album reviews so that you understand the Bangtan Universe.

N.O is one of my fave BTS music videos, certainly my fave from their early era. The story they tell through this MV and Jung Kook’s acting when rapping really impressed me. All 7 of them are really good actors - such multi talented guys - rapping singing dancing- what can’t they do? I feel that even though it’s over 10 years old, the production quality of this MV holds well. Plus I love the song and its message.

The "SKY" is short for the 3 biggest/most important universities in SK. To get a diploma from them people will wait a year if they fail the test to do it again. Why? Because that may be your only chance to raise yourself in social status and maybe earn enough to found a family in the future. Hypercapitalism at it's worst. The parents are afraid that their children will never be able to have their own home and family and enough money in old age. They are afraid that their children will never grow old in the first place. It's well worth looking up the phrase "n-po generation" on wikipedia. This is part of the lyrics of "Dope" even. East Asian schools tend to post a list where you stand in class and what grades/points you have so you can compare yourself to the rest of the class. Sets they can use again and for a group that worked with little to no funds that was important early on. And yes ON is related to NO as it is a call to bring it on that they BTS will continue to buck the system and work hard for their dreams. I believe they are reflecting the pressure from the society system set up where the family pays for the school as they go (I heard it's about a million to do this), the kids get a good job and then take care of the parents. The kids are basically their retirement plans. It's a very old way and traditional in Korean or maybe a great deal of Asia. So the kids go to school and after classes to prepare for one test that gets them to the great universities. When they don't make it they are a failure. It's truly harsh there. There seems to be several traditional systems set there that need to go modern or die out but they aren't set up to be that flexible. Same problem with marriage and now family systems, very low child birth rates now because of this, it's scary. We don't have it much better though lol. BTS is just showing casing the issues to show how unfair this is. Thanks for the reaction a ton. 💜🤞💜
