    We have had a chance to feature the extended wheelbase version of the Cadillac Escalade, but finally we've got one to try out. This week we're in the 2023 Cadillac Escalade ESV Sport Platinum 4WD, the highest trim you can get before going with the V-Series model. James goes over the exterior design and features on this vehicle along with the 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 engine that powers it.
    We then jump inside to see what this full-size luxury SUV has to offer including the 36-speaker AKG Studio Reference surround sound audio system, rear seat entertainment system, augmented reality display, and more.
    James then takes this 2023 Cadillac Escalade ESV on a road test to see how the extra length feels on the road along with his impressions on the ride, drive, and handling of this SUV. He discusses how Super Cruise on the Escalade differs from other GM vehicles, and why you'd want to option this. He then wraps up with his final thoughts on this SUV.

    Love the B roll run in reverse at 18:50. Had to watch it back to see the cars in the background going backwards. Fun Easter egg.

      You'd need a device to connect to it, we did a video on the previous generation Escalade and CT6 showing how you could connect a device like a Roku or Firestick to it and stream content via the 4G LTE OnStar data connection.

    Very nice. But how is the reliability?

    • @PRNTestDrive
      @PRNTestDrive  Год назад +1

      Like any luxury vehicle, especially a flagship luxury vehicle, there's plenty that could go wrong. The 6.2L V8 engine so far has been pretty solid overall as GM's been making it for a while now. Cadillac offers a very competitive 4 year, 80,000 km new vehicle warranty, but better than that all new Cadillac come with 4 years of scheduled maintenance included, so your new Escalade won't cost you anything for oil changes and other service during those first 4 years.

    • @7THxSIGN
      @7THxSIGN Год назад

      @@PRNTestDrive wow that's a great deal with the 4 years of scheduled maintenance being covered! Is the 3.0L Duramax as reliable as the 6.2L? I am going to see them tomorrow.

    Have to love that higher resolution OLED in a car... You just know that the burn in is really gonna help the resell value.

    • @G-Rated
      @G-Rated Год назад +1

      It’s almost if Cadillac didn’t think about that to implement something to mitigate burn while developing the display with LG whom are very aware of burn-in and how to mitigate it.
      It’s always the haters fantasizing about things going wrong in vehicles they probably can’t afford. 🤷🏾‍♂️

    • @Antoshka91d
      @Antoshka91d Год назад

      @@G-Rated yes you can mitigate it. But physics is a thing. I'm not hating, just being realistic. Please note that I am European, we value cars that last more than 10 years holding all their features. I guess this works in the US market. But don't expect those screens to last more than 5years without burnin.

    • @G-Rated
      @G-Rated Год назад

      @@Antoshka91d they realistically mitigated burn-in as well. There’s several articles on it out. Go read up and educate yourself.

      That doesn’t even make sense. How does the rear clash with a side of the vehicle you can’t even see from the rear. There are also massive vertical OLED drl’s in the front that match the rear’s OLED taillights. Y’all will say anything on RUclips. 🤡
