New to the channel and loving the banter. Also loving how you start these "hate" vids so polite and respectful then 2 mins later swearing and bashing just come out naturally.
I saw Korn on their Freak on a Leash tour back in 98 or 99, along with Rob Zombie as the opening act. Korn opened with Blind and the energy in the Greensboro Coliseum was one of the more intense things I’ve experienced (including two tours in Iraq). The buildup with the opening drums, then the guitars come in just had the crowd building their energy to match and when Jonathan Davis screamed “are you ready” the whole crowd just erupted! It definitely dampens the feeling of hearing the studio version after experiencing that.
Bed Of Roses by Bon Jovi - i HATED it Mama I'm Coming Home - Ozzy Osbourne - Too Overplayed Every Rose has it's Thorn by Poison - Absolutely CAN'T Stand it Nothing Else Matters by Metallica - My parents loved it but I Hated it And (this might shock some people) The Final Countdown by Europe - Absolutely ANNOYING
What? No Pour Some Sugar on Me? It was really my gateway into rock and, later, metal. I even remember where I was when I heard it for the first time. Bought the album off the back of it, like many people did. Loved Hysteria and Pyromania. Still do. But like a lot of songs on this list, it's been overplayed over the years.
Couldn’t agree MORE with Shiffy’s comment. YUKKKK to Nothing Else Matters! Why would someone pick that as a better song than, say, Trapped Under Ice??? again, YUKKKKK
Ben, I got a suggestion for you for a next video - top 10 bands that you have grown out of/tired from/ceased to enjoy for various reasons. I believe people "accumulate" (for lack of a better word) music as they age, meaning that they learn to appreciate new stuff in addition to what they listened to, say, 20 years ago. But sometimes something drops out. It would be interesting to see your list
Iron maiden _ can I play with madness Judas priest_ living after midnight Slayer_ Replentless Sepultura_ roots The offspring_ pretty fly for a white guy Pantera_ walk Machine head_ Davidian Exodus_ toxic waltz Metallica_ enter sandman
The Fact your wearing a Sick of it all tshirt speaks volumes about this topic but also lets me know you dont hate one of my favourite N.Y.H.C.bands so props too you.
Sandman, Paranoid, Walk, Child O' Mine 100% agree with mate, not because they are gash songs, just overplayed to the hilt, its like these bands only have these songs, like they never recorded anything else ! yeah give us a part 2 on this subject, give us some more album rankings too bruv, Ozzy would be interesting one. Cheers
Regarding Drowning Pool: Check out their album called "Full Circle" from 2007. It's heavy and memorable , but still sounds fairly different from their earlier stuff. Pretty underrated IMO. Take care!
Got these 5 bangers for you: Wham - Wake me up before you go go Billy Joel - We didn't start the fire Beatles - Yellow Submarine Las Ketchup - Ketchup Song Ilvys - What does the Fox say?
I used to be OK with RHCP, but I moved to a new city not too long ago, and the local rock station seems to be contractually required to play at least one RHCP song per hour. I’m completely done with them.
a lot of these are good songs but many of them are so overplayed it's not hard to agree. I hate that the Radio would play the same 5 songs from bands that have like 20 albums worth of songs to pick from. so for some context I'm 38 and my dad is getting into his early 60s and one day he said to me "30 years of Journey is enough."
Godsmack "voodoo" and Staind "its been a while". No joke our local radio rock station will have ads for classics and todays newest hits and i can guarantee immediately following will be one or 2 of those songs 😂 other honorable mentions are Buckcherry 'crazybtch' and probably System of a downs 'chop suey' if i never heard them again ok by me lol
1. The White Stripes - 7 Nation Army 2. Black Eyed Peas - I Got a Feeling 3. Whitney Houston - I Will Always Love You 4. Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit 5. Pharrell Williams - Happy 6. Maroon 5 - She Will Be Loved 7. Coldplay - Yellow 8. Radiohead - Creep 9. Bruno Mars - Uptown Funk 10. Gotye - Somebody That I Used to Know Plus there's this one song that gives me the absolute shits every time I hear it, and I don't even know the name of the song or the artist. Some shitty ultra repetitive dance track by some woman who can't sing. The chorus, such as it is, is just endless repeats of "na na na na na na na na na na na na".
Only one solution! We go back to February 8th 1996 and prevent the signing of the Telecommunications act. It’s possible but we’re going to have to do a lot of prep work.
@@GrapesTalks It’s going to be VERY difficult. Furthest I ever made it back was to Summer 1999 and that was July 15th 2023. Further you go forward the harder is gets to go back. Wouldn’t matter, can’t change anything anyway. It’s a nice thought though.
Outside of Paranoid(Mostly because the version I listen to is the live one with Randy Rhoads) I agree with your picks. I'm not so hard on Walk because that's one I've used as a gateway dr*g to get people into Pantara, but I never listen to it just to listen to it. There's a number of bands I could live my life with out ever hearing again, not specifically metal, but Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, Montley Crew, could never grace the air waves again and my life would be a happy one, mostly because these bands were always shoved down my throat growing up. I appreciate what Beatles were able to achieve with the recording equipment that existed at the time, I appreciate that EVH inspired a lot of guitarist (many who ended up being influences on me when I played guitar) Other than a brief meeting in real life with Vince Neil who was incredibly nice to me (and here's the kicker, it was at a Stryper Concert, MC and stryper were all friends.) the majority of MC's stuff is spoiled for me by non musical things, and their songs to wank to, "girls girls girls" yawn. Zeppelin I listened to a lot for about a year, and then after that year i highschool I was done. never want to hear any of it again
This was a great video. Agree on 99% of your picks too! Drowning Pool's Bodies holds the same position as Down With The Sickness for me as whenever they came on (and they did forever in the 00's) people would always go, 'oh that's the music you like isn't it?' NO!!!!! For some reason I still don't hate Enter Sandman although I should do by this point. The Black album as a whole though is a lot weaker than what I remember it and as another poster said I will go to Load every time over this one. My additions: Photograph - Nickleback: I hate this one more than the one you mentioned (and I don't like that one). Every new rhyme of photograph grated me that little bit more than the last. Ace of Spades - Motorhead: It's the Enter Sandman/Paranoid/Sweet Child Motorhead song Killing in the Name of - Rage: I've mentioned this before but hearing it every week at my uni rock club for three years with the DJ turning it down during the chorus and telling the crowd to sing 'Fuck you I won't do what you tell me' without the realisation by everyone that they were doing exactly what the were told every week annoyed me to the point of hating this song. Under the Bridge - RHCP: It's their 'tender' moment but I've heard it too much and the fact Kiedis has openly admitted $£"ing a child and is still out and about with no consequence has soured this one (and every thing else they've done). Plus he can't sing. Californiacation - RHCP: See above Bon Jovi - Livin' in a Prayer: Is this THE most overplayed 'rock' song ever? Whoooahhhhh... god I hate that part especially. It's the rock song for people who don't like rock, or music or themselves. You definately need a part 2. I understand why radio stations/clubs etc do it. For some reason people love to hear the same song over and over but for me it's so tedious. If there was a bar that was called 'Non-single Songs Only', I'd go out a lot more! Maybe there is also a video idea in overplayed songs you still actually like? I would throw No One Knows by QOTSA and Davidian on that list. Anyway great video... and as per usual I have written way too much!
Photograph is the song that I meant to say. I actually don't mind Rockstar if I am honest with you 🤣 Agree with you on the RHCP stuff as well. I like a lot of their music but I often skip those whenever they come on. I will definetley do a Part 2 for this one as so many people seem to have enjoyed it. Speak soon bro 🤘
Here are 10 songs that if I never hear again, I will die happy: Knocking on Heaven's Door- Guns N Roses Born To Be Wild- Steppenwolf Ain't No Rest for the Wicked- Cage the Elephant I Want You to Want Me- Cheap Trick Smooth Criminal- Alien Ant Farm Rocket Man- Elton John American Woman- The Guess Who Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet- Bachman Turner Overdrive Go Your Own Way- Fleetwood Mac Girls Girls Girls- Motley Crue
I've done that... take a walk and go in directions where that aren't other people, only to later wonder where the hell I've ended up. Hilariously, twice in my life, I've somehow wandered my way into a completely different town doing that and didn't realize it until after I'd put in a few miles. Thank God for GPS.
Magic Carpet Ride, Sweet Home Alabama, Hotel California, Smoke on the Water, Welcome to the Jungle, anything by Lenny Kravitz, anything by Counting Crows, Pink Houses, Dream On, Purple Haze.
Symphony of destruction absolutely gets on my tits. It's the end of megadeth for me . The way he sings " you try to take its pulse" really boils my piss
Agree with all of your choices but a few more of mine would be Ace of Spades, the trooper, breaking the law, Highway to hell, One, smells like teen spirit, all great songs by fantastic bands but heard them so many times, I don’t ever want to hear them again.
Here's my 12. Each one has their own reasons for being here, but none of these are here due to overplay. I never really cared for any of these since first listen, even though there's other songs from all of these bands that I like. 1. "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" by Aerosmith 2. "Loser" by 3 Doors Down 3. "Iron Man" by Black Sabbath 4. "Crawling" by Linkin Park 5. "Rock Star" by Nickelback 6. "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" by Green Day 7. "Rollin'" by Limp Bizkit 8. "Creep" by Radiohead 9. "Hungry like the Wolf" by Duran Duran 10 "Original Prankster" by The Offspring featuring Redman 11. "Dazed and Confused" by Led Zeppelin 12. "Tainted Love" by Marilyn Manson
Aw, f--k it. I couldn't let it go. I had to add 4 more, or I was going to drive myself insane. 13. "Yellow" by Coldplay 14. "Send the Pain Below" by Chevelle 15. "Thunder" by Imagine Dragons 16. "Last Resort" by Papa Roach I admittedly never really jived with anything from that last band.
@@yourdarkshadow0 Yeah, I was waiting for someone to comment on that one. It's certainly a classic, and I respect it for what it is.... but I just don't get any enjoyment out of it. Maybe it's the slow pace of most of the track, I dunno...
@@jiffythemagicelf for me the slowness is the charm about war pigs, iron man, black sabbath, etc. could be summed up to personal preference though, one of my favourite band radiohead has almost exclusively been making slow songs.
You know Symphony of destruction was a song I used to hate, but I have grown to appreciate it, and Enter Sandman is another song I can appreciate. Oh and finally, Bodies is just super nostalgic for me
As for overplayed for me pretty much any of the big Pink Floyd songs. Both my general rock station and classic rock station play one of the big three every single hour. Yes they're great songs but they've been playing them like a top 10 song of the week for my entire life. When is it enough?
Any rock song played to death gets the hate treatment eventually. Except, Paradise City, Sweet Child O' Mine and Welcome to the jungle. I hate those songs.
The one song i do not want to hear again, although very catchy, is SHUT UP AND DANCE WITH ME. " When i was at work a few years ago, i had to listen to that song every half an hour for my entire shift. I went to a store after my shift had ended, and there was that damn song playing on the radio, and i went OH GOD NOT THAT SONG AGAIN
1. Agreed 2. Disagree and the black album is a metal album 3. I can understand that 4. Ok, I agree 5. I love guitar solos and like to sing it to myself on occasion so disagree because of that. 6. Agreed 7. Disagree 8. Agree. I hate that band. 9. No idea what that is. 10. Agreed. I have heard very little that is good from Nickleback. 11. Disagree but I understand your reasons. 12. Disagree. A song that can make me cry if I'm in the right mood when listening to it is Neither One Of Us by Gladys Knight & The Pips.
ok, you get my follow. none of these songs are songs i particularly cannot stand but i get it, im probably not looking for them on the song list any time soon. 😂
This puts me in mind of the time when Wet,Wet,Wet decided to delete Love is All Around, after 15 weeks at number 1 in the charts. They managed to pull the plug just in time, before we all got sick of it. 👏👏👏 Well played, Marti Pellow 👍
That was a very close second if I am honest. I love Paranoid but I have just heard it so many times at this point. Congrats on the marriage and child as well mate 🤘
Im completely with you on Paranoid. I love BS, they're one of my favourite bands of all time and iv never liked that song. I loved their dark riffs and Paranoid is more of a disco rock song.
@@vanmantalksMetal Iv got Dark Tranquility and Brothers of metal in November. In December iv got Obituary and Alcest. January im seeing Insomnium, The Halo Effect and Cattle Decap. In February im seeing Opeth and in June im seeing Iron Maiden.
Pretty much agree with your list with the exception of 'Blind'.. Gotta throw 'smells like Teen spirit' in there, great band, but so many other better songs by them.. Great video as always 🤘🤘
AC/DC - Thunderstruck & Highway to Hell WASP - I Wanna be Somebody Aerosmith - Dream On Pantera - Walk (me too) Motley Crue - Kickstart my Heart . Out of the top of my head. I used to love all these songs but they are so overplayed I grew to hate them.
Bodies - I love and not quite so sick of it yet (it's on one of my gym playlists). Walk This Way - Agree with the RunDMC collab but I still love the original. I love most of Offspring's stuff for it's easy-listenability when I'm having a bad day. Agree with Sweet Child... and Walk - I only listen to them when they come on the radio or my other half listens to them.
Nine Inch Nails- Closer AC/DC- Back In Black Metallica- Too Many to name because radio stations overplay them Nirvana- Smells Like Teen Spirit Pearl Jam- Alive Limp Bizkit- Break Stuff/ Rollin' Are a few I can think of.
MY top ten songs I never want to hear again (*two quick comments - 1) I am not a “punk” guy, so apologies there. 2) some of these songs are actually “catchy,” but I STILL don’t wanna hear ‘em!). Ok, here’s it is. 1) A Tout le Monde by Megadeth (a big big F?&K off on that one) 2) Anarchy in the U.K. - Sex Pistols 3) Anti- social - Anthrax 4) Basket Case - Green Day (I actually would LOVE turning off the radio, shouting “NOPE!,” after hearing the opening question!) 5) Lovin,’ Touchin,’ Squeezin’ - Journey 6) Metallica, who I love, but HATE these 2 songs - Nothing Else Matters and The Unforgiven (worse yet, there are more “parts” to the latter!) 7) I Wanna be Sedated - The Ramones (that’s what I wanna be when I hear that come on) 8) Here I Go Again- Whitesnake 9) We Belong - Pat Benatar (I am perhaps THE BIGGEST Pat fan I know, but can’t stand this song! gimme Fire and Ice any day!) 10) D’yer Mak’er - Led Zeppelin (yukk, yukk, yukk and QUADRUPLE YUKKKK!!! GREAT BAND but STUPID song)
Yeah, a lot of songs just get played to death. I've gotten to where I can't even stand to hear Queen at all. Not only do they only have three songs on the radio, but the same three songs are in every other TV commercial. I listened to the radio all through the '70s and '80s, there were hundreds of bands and thousands of songs. You'd never know it by listening to the "classic" stations today.
A few months ago I was going through my tiny record collection and found the LP "Filth Hounds of Hades" by TANK. I bought it back in the days and never listened to it again. I started the Recordplayer and BOY!!! DID THEY ROCK! Algy Ward ( the Bass player for DAMNED on Machine Gun Etiquette) at his best. They did not make it, sadly. But this kind of Rock'n'Roll was so raw and brilliant. The best Re-discovery for me in this year. Mainstream Bands are sometimes quite good, but they will never ( and can't ) go back to the roots and be fuckin' Rock'n' Roll as this kind of Bands
I'm a fan of Queen, but I could easily go the rest of my life without hearing Bohemian Rhapsody again. A great song, but I've heard it way too many times.
A lot of these are songs ruined by radio culture and money after the fact. There's songs I hate because they suck, then songs I've overheard millions of times, doesnt necessarily mean they're bad. Usually they're good. But some suits or popular list related streams ruin them for ad buys.
I agree with the song Hail to the King, I tired of it very quickly, especially when a friend would play it almost every time I was in his car. I still like Nightmare nowadays, but I can only listen to it every once in awhile. My friends and I jammed to that one so many times that I did get sick of it for like 5 years haha.
I would add TNT from acdc, can i play with madness by Maiden, breaking the law by priest. Outside of rock and metal i cannot stand reggaeton as a genre, and a specific song that makes my blood boil is get lucky by daft punk and that Pharrell bloke, who probably has the nkst slappable face in the whole music industry
Honest question... do you watch wrestling? Because WWF really drove "Bodies" into the ground by using it for clip montages. I can feel you on this one. The ones I would pick is every hit on Green Day's Dookie. Don't need to hear them. "She" squeaks by because it wasn't a huge hit but I think that one was mostly radio airplay; I don't think it had a video.
I dont mind the Offspring, but i hate that bloody song. Good call. Nice list. Never got the love for Walk. They have so many way better songs.Agree on Paranoid too. I still havent reached that stage on Enter Sandman yet. So over The Trooper, Breaking the Law, Come as you are(Nirvana). It may be sacrilege but if i never hear whole lotta love again, i would be quite happy..and i like Zep a lot .
And again I'm all in with every pick. Symphony of Destruction for example I couldn't get enough of when the album dropped. Now I've heard it so much its meh. Another great video.
Picks that come first to my mind are Fear of the Dark (Iron Maiden) and Smells Like Teen Spirit (Nirvana) - songs so overplayed, that I would be happy not to hear them ever again in my life.
Run To the hills The final countdown Jump Smoke on the water Thunderstruck Rock n roll all night Cherry pie Girls girls girls Knocking on heavens door Iron man
Video suggestion: Albums that you wish you could hear for the first time again! Mine would be : Agalloch - The Mantle; Type O Negative - Slow Deep And Hard; Woods Of Ypres - Pursuit of the Sun & Allure of the Earth; Draconian - Arcane Rain Fell; Katatonia - Tonight's Decision. To name a few of mine!
Fucking great list, it's nice to see some respect to Woods of Ypres, in my opinion the most underrated band of all time. I would add a My Dying Bride album like Turn Loose the Swans or Songs of Darkness, Words of Light
Finally someone who doesn't like Walk by Pantera! Wait and bleed by Slipknot is maybe the most popular metal song I hate the most next to Walk. Don't understand why people love them so much, especially w&b.
I'm just tired of hearing Walk at this point and Wait and Bleed I lost interest in pretty quick. I like a lot of Slipknot songs but that one is not one of their best
I don't listen to the radio anymore, but that doesn't free me from songs being overplayed on other platforms. For me right now, that song is Rob Zombie's Dragula. On youtube, I like to search for covers, remixes, and AI generated weirdness. But when I search for Rob Zombie, it's mostly Dragula. It's like most people know nothing of Rob Zombie's other great songs, including during the White Zombie era. Will I ever get a Plankton AI cover of Never Gonna Stop? Or a Peter Griffin AI cover of Electric Head Pt.1 and Pt.2?
Because I tend NOT to watch/listen to music media stations I don't hear most of these songs adnauseum I still like most of these. Although Offspring, Sticleback, Aerosmith Smadhmouf and Diamond head I can live without. Cracking video Grom..... er T.M.B only found your blog recently and am enjoying it greatly. 🤘🤟🤘🤟🤘
I'm 64 next month, been a Heavy Rock/Metal fan since I was about 13.Your list is spot on,we used to go to Rock City here in Nottingham every Saturday night for their "Classic" Rock night and every bloody week it was always 99% of those songs you chose.I mean Smash Mouth, what's that if it's not just like The Darkness/Steel Panther-Comedy/Novelty of the worst sort....Sweet Child O Mine-Dear God how I'm sick of hearing that...The Offspring, like Green Day yet another Faux Pop/Punk band who have tucked since day one.
Basically, any song that's been raped to death on the radio.
@ManekiNeko1972 got that right. Radio never understood there are more than 20 songs to choose from
Pink Floyd imo is exempt… Even the mainstream hits I am never not exited to hear a Floyd song

Total agreement with Walk by Pantera. According to metal clubs, it's Pantera's only song.
As much as i love Pantera, i do agree
Even Queensryche recently played Walk before concert started.
its a great song live but probably the weakest song on the album imo.

Korn kinda sucks tho
Bed Of Roses by Bon Jovi - i HATED it
Mama I'm Coming Home - Ozzy Osbourne - Too Overplayed
Every Rose has it's Thorn by Poison - Absolutely CAN'T Stand it
Nothing Else Matters by Metallica -
My parents loved it but I Hated it
And (this might shock some people) The Final Countdown by Europe - Absolutely ANNOYING
NEM is a great song
@@stevenhenry5267 it not good enough
I love Metallica, but I can easily live without hearing Nothing Else Matters ever again
@@hsmetalhb2036 any metallica song is better than that garbage
And where you were when you first heard it was a strip club. Literally the only reason that whole album went anywhere.
YES MY DUDE!!!!
Fab video, lots to agree with here. Enter Sandman for me big style.
Couldn’t agree MORE with Shiffy’s comment. YUKKKK to Nothing Else Matters! Why would someone pick that as a better song than, say, Trapped Under Ice??? again, YUKKKKK
I agree on every tune you mentioned and like to add "Eye Of The Tiger" and "Don´t Stop Believin". I can´t wait for the next video.
I never need or want to hear “Sweet Home Alabama” EVER AGAIN.
Where the skies are blue 🔵 🌌
@ I mean I’m fine READING it. Just never need to fuckin’ HEAR it again.
@@ryanswaynow 🎶Sweet home Alabama🎶
@ Still don’t understand why sweet home ALABAMA is so popular here in VIRGINIA.
Iron maiden _ can I play with madness
Judas priest_ living after midnight
Slayer_ Replentless
Sepultura_ roots
The offspring_ pretty fly for a white guy
Pantera_ walk
Machine head_ Davidian
Exodus_ toxic waltz
Metallica_ enter sandman
Davidian is literally the only good song by Machine Head
I actually think Living after midnight is a pretty good song personally, but yeah the rest are definitely songs I don't care for much either
Take care!
Got these 5 bangers for you:
Wham - Wake me up before you go go
Billy Joel - We didn't start the fire
Beatles - Yellow Submarine
Las Ketchup - Ketchup Song
Ilvys - What does the Fox say?
Good picks 👌. I can’t stand Nirvana - Teen Spirit, Scorpions -Wind of something, RHCP - any radio friendly hit of theirs
Teen Spirit was very close to being on my list for sure
rhcp always made my blood boil
Oh I absolutely forgot about Voodoo and Crazy Bitch.
Welp, time to go right back to forgetting them again haha.
@@JayDog459 hahah sorry about that bro lol
1. The White Stripes - 7 Nation Army
2. Black Eyed Peas - I Got a Feeling
3. Whitney Houston - I Will Always Love You
4. Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit
5. Pharrell Williams - Happy
6. Maroon 5 - She Will Be Loved
7. Coldplay - Yellow
8. Radiohead - Creep
9. Bruno Mars - Uptown Funk
10. Gotye - Somebody That I Used to Know
Plus there's this one song that gives me the absolute shits every time I hear it, and I don't even know the name of the song or the artist.
This...this will work
@@GrapesTalks It’s going to be VERY difficult.
My additions:
Photograph - Nickleback: I hate this one more than the one you mentioned (and I don't like that one). Every new rhyme of photograph grated me that little bit more than the last.
Ace of Spades - Motorhead: It's the Enter Sandman/Paranoid/Sweet Child Motorhead song
Killing in the Name of - Rage: I've mentioned this before but hearing it every week at my uni rock club for three years with the DJ turning it down during the chorus and telling the crowd to sing 'Fuck you I won't do what you tell me' without the realisation by everyone that they were doing exactly what the were told every week annoyed me to the point of hating this song.
Under the Bridge - RHCP: It's their 'tender' moment but I've heard it too much and the fact Kiedis has openly admitted $£"ing a child and is still out and about with no consequence has soured this one (and every thing else they've done). Plus he can't sing.
Californiacation - RHCP: See above
Bon Jovi - Livin' in a Prayer: Is this THE most overplayed 'rock' song ever?
I actually don't mind Rockstar if I am honest with you 🤣
Agree with you on the RHCP stuff as well. I like a lot of their music but I often skip those whenever they come on.
I will definetley do a Part 2 for this one as so many people seem to have enjoyed it.
Speak soon bro 🤘
Mine is literally every Falling In Reverse song. lol also agree on Drowning Pool, I prefer Tear Away or Sermon.
Here are 10 songs that if I never hear again, I will die happy:
Knocking on Heaven's Door- Guns N Roses
Born To Be Wild- Steppenwolf
Ain't No Rest for the Wicked- Cage the Elephant
I Want You to Want Me- Cheap Trick
Smooth Criminal- Alien Ant Farm
Rocket Man- Elton John
American Woman- The Guess Who
Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet- Bachman Turner Overdrive
Go Your Own Way- Fleetwood Mac
Girls Girls Girls- Motley Crue
Don’t want to miss a thing. Intrusive and sort of creepy.
I hated nickelback the first time I heard photograph back in 2001. So I guess I was a hater before it was fashionable to hate them lol
How about every single Bon Jovi song?
Here's my 12. Each one has their own reasons for being here, but none of these are here due to overplay. I never really cared for any of these since first listen, even though there's other songs from all of these bands that I like.
1. "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" by Aerosmith
2. "Loser" by 3 Doors Down
3. "Iron Man" by Black Sabbath
4. "Crawling" by Linkin Park
5. "Rock Star" by Nickelback
6. "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" by Green Day
7. "Rollin'" by Limp Bizkit
8. "Creep" by Radiohead
9. "Hungry like the Wolf" by Duran Duran
10 "Original Prankster" by The Offspring featuring Redman
11. "Dazed and Confused" by Led Zeppelin
12. "Tainted Love" by Marilyn Manson
Aw, f--k it. I couldn't let it go. I had to add 4 more, or I was going to drive myself insane.
13. "Yellow" by Coldplay
14. "Send the Pain Below" by Chevelle
15. "Thunder" by Imagine Dragons
16. "Last Resort" by Papa Roach
I admittedly never really jived with anything from that last band.
man i completely agree with most of them but hate to see iron man here
@@yourdarkshadow0 Yeah, I was waiting for someone to comment on that one.
Oh and finally, Bodies is just super nostalgic for me
I don't really hear the Aerosmith/Run DMC song much anymore
As for overplayed for me pretty much any of the big Pink Floyd songs. Both my general rock station and classic rock station play one of the big three every single hour. Yes they're great songs but they've been playing them like a top 10 song of the week for my entire life. When is it enough?
Sounds to me for the most part, the songs don't have anything inherently wrong with them other than they were overplayed to the point of frustration.
Any rock song played to death gets the hate treatment eventually. Except, Paradise City, Sweet Child O' Mine and Welcome to the jungle. I hate those songs.
For me (due to CONSTANT overplaying by radio / ads etc) it has to be Don’t Stop Me Now by Queen. It comes on, I fuck off.
Linkin Park's In The End & Numb/Encore fall into that way too overplayed category that need to piss off for a while.
Every time I hear CCR play Fortunate Son I want to vomit because of the way the song has been hijacked by jerkoffs
Yeah, it's really weird that they never actually listened to the lyrics.
War pigs instead of paranoid. Especially all the needless cover versions .
iron man is by far their dumbest one

ok, you get my follow. none of these songs are songs i particularly cannot stand but i get it, im probably not looking for them on the song list any time soon. 😂

Hello from British Columbia Canada!!🇨🇦
This puts me in mind of the time when Wet,Wet,Wet decided to delete Love is All Around, after 15 weeks at number 1 in the charts. They managed to pull the plug just in time, before we all got sick of it. 👏👏👏 Well played, Marti Pellow 👍
I am not sure they did succeed as I am sick of that damn song 🤣

AC/DC - Thunderstruck & Highway to Hell
WASP - I Wanna be Somebody
Aerosmith - Dream On

yeah, I have to agree with your choices, they do grate on me too. liking this, so I subbed.
Love it! Ripping on bad or tired songs must be a GenX thing, cuz it is an art form. Well dun
10 songs?, I think there are about 100/200 songs I can’t fucking stand
Nine Inch Nails- Closer
AC/DC- Back In Black
Metallica- Too Many to name because radio stations overplay them
Nirvana- Smells Like Teen Spirit
Pearl Jam- Alive
Limp Bizkit- Break Stuff/ Rollin'
Are a few I can think of.
Imagine how the bands feel being forced to release a track that becomes a monster. I know how you feel
Can you do a video of nu metal bands you like? Have you ever listened to Sevendust?
Enter Sandman is over played yes, but it’s a fun time.
same with Walk tbh
Yeah, a lot of songs just get played to death. I've gotten to where I can't even stand to hear Queen at all. Not only do they only have three songs on the radio, but the same three songs are in every other TV commercial. I listened to the radio all through the '70s and '80s, there were hundreds of bands and thousands of songs. You'd never know it by listening to the "classic" stations today.
I love Queen but I agree that you always hear the same songs I er and over. They have so many hidden gems it is crazy
I have to say The Offspring fucking suuuuuccckkkk
Awwww you’re no fun
I'm a fan of Queen, but I could easily go the rest of my life without hearing Bohemian Rhapsody again. A great song, but I've heard it way too many times.
A lot of these are songs ruined by radio culture and money after the fact. There's songs I hate because they suck, then songs I've overheard millions of times, doesnt necessarily mean they're bad. Usually they're good. But some suits or popular list related streams ruin them for ad buys.
Avenged sevenfold-Nightmare/Hail to the king
I agree with the song Hail to the King, I tired of it very quickly, especially when a friend would play it almost every time I was in his car.
I still like Nightmare nowadays, but I can only listen to it every once in awhile. My friends and I jammed to that one so many times that I did get sick of it for like 5 years haha.
Nah
@@xXx3OOOv2 yuh
Threw you a like just for the Sick Of It All shirt. They are great but seem to be almost completely unknown...
All of your picks are valid. Great songs but heard them all so many times at this point
Happy by Pharrell Williams. Stairway to heaven by the mighty Zeppelin. Any song by The Doors. Kickstart My Heart by Motley Crue.
Picks that come first to my mind are Fear of the Dark (Iron Maiden) and Smells Like Teen Spirit (Nirvana) - songs so overplayed, that I would be happy not to hear them ever again in my life.
another one bites the dust.....Bite This!
Run To the hills
The final countdown
Jump
Smoke on the water
Thunderstruck
Rock n roll all night
Cherry pie
Girls girls girls
Knocking on heavens door
Iron man
Video suggestion: Albums that you wish you could hear for the first time again!
Mine would be :
Agalloch - The Mantle;
Type O Negative - Slow Deep And Hard;
Woods Of Ypres - Pursuit of the Sun & Allure of the Earth;
Draconian - Arcane Rain Fell;
Katatonia - Tonight's Decision.
I don’t really care about your opinion mate, but the landscape is amazing! Keep walking 🤘🏻
Because I tend NOT to watch/listen to music media stations I don't hear most of these songs adnauseum I still like most of these. I still love Enter Sandman for some reason, but i like playing it on guitar with an almost death metal tone dialed in.
