When Humans get beyond that, We will TRUELY become Evolved.....

I've always wondered how come Hong Kong or chinese movies hardly make sci fi movies....after watching this I think I know why now, the cgi, special effects and all, it looks like we're watching cartoon. Funny too because seeing some of the comments here there are a few who are praising this so much saying things like wow everything looks great in this movie the special are awesome. Idk if they're joking or not or if they're just bots, but the special effects and cgi here looks like a joke. It is disappointing too because I've always wanted hong kong or China to make sci fi movies because they rarely do. But now I think I know why they don't.
China has some good actors/actresses and beautiful women, that's for sure. Interesting though, that they make movies like they are obsessed with western style and cinematography, and, to be honest, with (also western) C-grade plots, scripts, and stereotypes. There are some original Chinese cultural elements (almost hidden) in here, but hard to say if they aren't South Korean and Japanese influenced. However, I often asked myself if this was just created by the young-artist-branch of a Marvel-Lucasfilm joint-venture located in Shenzen. Therefore, I frequently wanted to shout something like "Hey good Chinese ppl, just make YOUR OWN THING, stop emulating. I mean, Chine invented 7-tone-music, why is it obsessed with the 12-tone chromatic scale ? Looking into the works of some of your neighbors could not hurt, esp. some Russian productions (Night Watch, Day Watch, Rusalka/2008). These are modern, using a modern film language, but are deeply Russian.
