For me Neil is the greatest drummer, and Alex is the most underrated guitarist ever and Geddy is one of the best bassists ever. The only guy who tops him for me is Chris Squire. Of course Rush is my favorite band of all time and has been since I first discovered them with Hemispheres. I also love Yes, Genesis and Marillion. I’m a big prog guy if you can’t tell already.
@@nickavenoso7851 Chris was one of Geddy's favorite bassists. Geddy and Alex inducted Yes into the hall of fame but you probably already knew that and Geddy played that night when they performed. I knew of Rush at the time, but I was 15 when Moving Pictures came out and been a fan ever since.
@@tammiec4937 Yes. I knew about the induction. It kind of made me sad that Chris wasn’t there to experience it because the Rock Hall waited so long to induct them. Yeah. Geddy played Roundabout with the band.
@@nickavenoso7851 they both had to wait till the fans were able to vote. Geddy did an awesome job he didn’t try to outshine Chris Squire. The hall hated prog music. There are still so many bands not inducted yet.

Starts out with Geddy's fast, dancing fingers on his bass, and then Alex with his world-class guitar playing, THEN Neil Peart - how about that for a sample of his drumming skills? My first Rush concert on the Roll The Bones tour (probably their weakest album) in '91. "Where's My Thing" and Ghost of a Chance " probably my 2 favorite songs on Roll The Bones. As far as instrumentals, not as good as La Villa Strangiato or YYZ but Neils drum solo on WMT was a pleasure to see live. "Malignant Narcissism" is another short but great instrumental I discovered a couple years ago. As far as I know, the only 4 instrumentals by Rush. Still can't believe 2 of my favorite musicians are gone. RIP Neil Peart and Chris Cornell. As a musician and songwriter of 30+ years, Neil and Chris inspired me as much as any other great rock musicians. LEGENDS.
