Whats crazy is I always forward to Cormega's verse on a NAS song with one of his best verses
This is from Marley's "FUTURE FLAVA SHOW" this type of rawness you don't even hear nowadays.
Heard this on a dj clue mixtape (cassette!) in 95? Never forgot it but could never find it. God bless the internet
RIP: KL his voice was always stood out
FACTS 🌟
East coast...bring THIS music back....PLLLLLLLLLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
For real, I hate NY rap that sounds like the West!
If Nas was to do a versus against Jay……this would be a perfect song to kick it off……a street banger that hasn’t been over exposed …but when the beat drop…..it’s gonna come back to people like “oh!!”
Perfectly Said
Real talk right here. Top comment.
facts. i LOVE it when i hear the jay mainstream acting like jay's b-sides alone would wash nas....i'm like ya'll really don't know nas' catalog and how far back it goes.
That beat so serious 👆💯💪🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
OLD SCHOOL HIP-HOP NAS FT KAMAKAZEE ON THE R MUSIC 😀😀😀✌️✌️👍👍
Whats crazy is that Nas originally wanted his second album done solely by Marly! And this was done right before he hooked up with Stout.
“It was written” ended up classic as is …would have been nice for “I am” though ….the production slid down hill on that one ….Marley has a bar …he always come correct.
How this never really got refined and made an album is nuts to me.
@@djst9792 I Am... the Original was good most of the production on Disc 1 was Trackmasters besides Undying Love, N.Y. State Of Mind Pt. II and Wanna Play Rough which was Dame Grease and L.E.S.
Disc 2 was mostly Dame Grease and L.E.S. besides DJ Premier doing Nas Is Like they did most of it
Dr. Knockboot sticks out like a sore thumb on the Original because of how great the rest of the project is but 1 filler track doesn't kill the album for me It's not bad enough to tank it still a classic just Hope The Curse leaks someday and the Original Album leaks even though it's leaked I mean Leaked as in Synced and all of that because that likely happened Nas was already sending Nas Is Like to DJs in January of 99 so that was still going to be the first single along w Hate Me Now being the 2nd just wish he stuck to the concept he should've went the Murda Muzik route Change some song titles hell Project Windows and Hate Me Now samples didn't get cleared anyways so the Retail ver. of those songs could've just went on the project
Fetus rename it to My Belly Button Window
Day Dreamin', Stay Schemin' just shorten it to Stay Schemin'
Shorten Dr. Knockboot (Do's And Donts) to just Dr. Knockboot like they did
and boomThere you go most of Disc 1 is cool and none of Disc 2 was on the Bootleg so literally that's fine and Boom you still got a classic in my eyes
There's not one joint that exists on this entire planet with just Nas and Mega. We've been waiting almost 30 years. Mega... Make it happen my man

I first heard this on 99.9 Stretch & Bobbito...shout to all the real hip hop heads
The legendary show, they had heat.
I think those dudes got hidden diamonds and gold
Scratchy, dirty, grimy, the floor under the 7 train on Roosevelt Ave. Luvvit.

Flushing bsby 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
NaS flow and story telling ability is bar none
First heard this on the best of Cormega. Lost that cd and been looking for it ever since.
Had this on a mix tape 95-96 timeframe along with You'll See by Big and LOX had to be the best underground mixed tape I ever heard
Knowledge. Goodtimes.
Pull them tapes out and feel good dude.
Blessings
Bad Boy Vol 3 mixed by Stretch Armstrong. It was the second song on side a.
@@cwpalacios1 that would be it ! Miss that era
@@cwpalacios1rewound those two tracks so much… Between Puff screaming and that tape’s particularly loud mastering of this clanging piano loop my Aiwa headphones were leaking obnoxious on every train and bus I rode that Spring and Summer.
No doubt! I guess we're showing how much older we all are now, lol. It's all good.
This track is Legendary 🗡️⌛⚖️⚡👑🌬️ and Timeless
This version is raw
I remember taping this track in September 1995 from Marley marl show Future flava and that wa the first time it got played on the radio as an exclusive
also Nas used his verse as freestyle on Yo MTV raps when Mobb Deep dropped the Infamous and they had Nas and Rae in the studio
This is a top 10 Nas verse in my opinion. Always one of my favs.
Oh man....... jumping on the time machine setting up back to 95 REAL RAP...LONG LIVE THE CULTURE 🎵🎶🔥❤️🙏

Super classic...
Real .. rap
It's just amazing that this instru remains confidential in the Hip Hop history. One of the best song ever produced, even if a little slow in this version. Exceptional.
This was to ME the original version because it's the one I heard FIRST. I wore the fuck out of the TDR tape I had this on. This was my first time hearing Cormega and been a fan since. Can't wait for The Realness 2.
"Shareholders of the CULTURE"
@@juseasy9308 Yup. This is the original. I heard this joint on Marley Marl Pete Rock show Future Flavas Sunday nights 10-midnight. I believe Marley Marl produced this joint.

This shit is ridiculous
Like Colombians with bad Coke that..........
Too much treble
Noel Johnson the fact that it sounds like it would’ve sounded in a hooked up Jeep back in ‘95 makes it endearing to me. 💪🏼
@@ferchoandres I can see that. It's almost like watching a vintage VHS tape where you can tell the shit you're watching is ancient
@@noeljohnson1021 very true. Imagine an early 80's B-boy battle recorded onto grainy VHS tape. It can be re-digitized into Ultra Super 5K HD, but the raw VHS footage gives it flavor! peace.
dubbed upon dubbed upon dubbed….us 80s babies familiar with that …..every dub the hiss increase a little …and some lower mids begin to filter
lmao Yup
