I used to listen to this when I was unsaved and didn't feel anything about it. Just chilling to it. And when I was saved, the song was used in a kdrama youtube short and i literally felt sick and felt like there's creeping things on my skin. I never listened to the song again.
I suspected he wouod say unholy, because its openly satanic (the performances anyway) and is rather catchy.
I find that when I'm in church and singing praise songs on a weekly basis, it's hard for these type of satanic songs to get stuck in my head. The good/Church music is what is in my head.

When I first heard the song, I didn’t know the name, I didn’t know who sang it, and I didn’t even understand the lyrics because I thought it was just jokingly mumbling since it was on every RUclips Short, fast forward a few months, I see old videos of people talking about how bad the song was before they say the name of the song was “Unholy” by Sam Smith, Even though the song never played in the video, not to mention how I never understood the lyrics or saw the name of the song until that point, My brain immediately went to that one song that was stuck in my head. That is actually insane.

Eventually when we listen to all these songs on a regular basis, we eventually end up committing those sins. I am working on listening to worship music and positive music. It's not an overnight transition but it's better than what it was.

I’m about to resell these concert tix for this show in Nov. I recently prayed and….. it lead me to watch the new music vids of that artist I’m gonna see. For the first time, I noticed an inverted cross in his very dark music video. Filmed in a cathedral. 😒 I made my decision, and it was tough! I love this artist…. But not enough to go see him on Day of the Dead (didn’t even catch that date or the concert poster til after). I’m bummed, but I choose God and Yeshua over this satanjc crap any day. Thank you Lord for showing me what I needed to see. Praise Jah, His Holy Son and Their Awesome Angels. In Jesus name, amen!

It just uses these things called ✨metaphors✨ that a lot of people can relate to. As do most songs. And just to be perfectly clear, it’s the same for any song that even briefly mentions Satan.
