It happens with any character that isn't programmed to be dismembered, it's quite an interesting way of animating it, all characters multiply when dismembered, but the ones that are programmed to do so are programmed so the game automatically makes part of the models invisible to get the visual effect, characters that are not designed for that (NPCs for example) don't do that, cause you're not meant to perform fatalities on them
Reminds me of The Terminator back in MK11, and Jason back in MKX when they don’t scream in pain when you do fatalities on them cause they don’t fear pain, and they don’t scream.

I did predict that Tarkat would come in different forms like the CBI in Last of us so I called one of these a phase 4 Lost since there guaranteed to be gone by that point since Baraka is phase 3 Inhuman he could turn into this

The Super Tarkatan splitting into clones when dismembered reminds me of those NPCs on MK9 doing the same thing. It always cracks me up.
As well as Corrupted Shinnok in MKX and Kronika and Cyrax in MK11, although sometimes they stretch like jelly. 😂
