As much as i love the chart (sauce) kinda videos, i find these types of video are where people can really learn and take value and are much better from a growth (discipline) perspective than videos on how to enter markets, chochs, flips etc. Said it time and time again, those who only want charts and sauce are only seeing money (i've been there myself) are sadly are not gonna make it they need to disperse and re-evaluate. These honest transparent from an experienced point of view videos are where the real sauce is, people should look up to you albs, i'm in my 40's and i hold you in high regard massively. It's great to see youth making a difference and turning their lives around. Family man changing the game and with videos like this you could potentially change peoples lives. I really love your videos I believe as an intending trader or newbie guided investments should be mandatory, it brings about consistency and profit I know for a fact.
I do have to say on a system that requires so much technical know how as that of the financial market, I do share your opinion for mandatory guide on investment at least to avoid unforeseen mistakes that leads to much loss on trade capital.
One thing that helped me is saying this to myself, if you look at the chart and a set up isn’t screaming at you it is likely not there. This stopped me forcing trades and kept me away from that mindset of “I need to trade every day” - less emotion, better execution and overall more consistent trading. Great video Alb !
Facts spoken out Albie! I literally took only 7trades this month on EU. All High probability setups, and i managed to scale another 10% month with 0.25% risk. What that means to me is: - 1)I have significantly cut down my chart time and concentrate on other things that i want with my life in parallel. 2) Not getting lost in LTF 3) You don't always need to risk 1% , i did it with 0.25. 4) Waiting out to see your edge play out is the real sauce 🌭
For me personally a huge step in my journey was stopping trading the 1M and instead creating a plan for 5M entries. This stopped me overtrading massively as obviously the 5m doesnt let you get in trades the 1M does for example so my advice for anyone would be do you and find what resonates with you and crack on because you don't need to be doing 100R a day to change your life

Another banger mate. Started trading live a few weeks ago and getting my booty smacked left, right and centre. Already though I'm realising some of the areas where I'm going wrong, overtrading is definitely one. Started doing EOD markups and gathering case studies too. Mate I really resonate with the point about friendships. Especially as you get older, you tend to become someone dissimilar to who you once were. That's why I realise how rare it is for people to still be very close to most of their childhood friends. Different journeys, different ways of thinking. I can relate to a lot of what you said. I’ve been learning for 3 years now and have wasted a lot of time trading retail, moving average S&R and all that jazz. I must’ve spent well over 20k hours on n the charts and am now having some sort of consistency but am nowhere near I want to be although I only trade SMC and that’s made a huge difference on my way of trading and viewing the markets. I too have two kids and am in thousands in debt but hard work and hope are the only things that keep me going.
This video is very important for anyone trading. I don't trade forex, but from what I can tell, pretty much ALL strategies work, but you need to do the stuff outlined in this video. This is definitely one of the best videos on trading imo. EDIT: New traders will ignore this video and the stuff he talks about, but from my own experience, ALL traders that eventually become consistently profitable come to these realizations on their own.
I like your honesty, I used to trade based on what I learnt from some youtube mentors (which have a very good trading method), but I have find out that the best way for me to trade was to implement each part of both mentors in a way that suits me best, by automatizing the way I trade. Great great video! I think the only time you may start making money is when trading becomes BORING but you doing it sticking to it because it's like drinking water. Just gotta do those analysis and wait 90% of the time for every day if order is triggered. When losing doesn't make you angry and sad but also when winning bigs doesn't make you happy or excited; I think that's when a Change starts happening...
I didn't plan on finding Smart money concepts at all. It was, now that I think about it, a child of my belief that something wasn't adding up. It's part of the reason why I embraced it without hesitation, and I promised myself this time around that I was going to make my new perspective on the market count. People like you are evidence of the fact that at the end of the day it is a problem with the trader and not the system. I learned from the video that you can't dodge discipline.

Over trading is usually a massive issue people face due to been fearful of missing out thinking the market will go without then and not having a clear defined edge because if your edge is a certain sequences of events it doesn’t actually happen all that often we just make it up in our heads it’s why been accountable and disciplined is so crucial mate

Always look at the day, 4H, 1H. Then you can zoom in with the 5-15 min and use the 1m for better entries. Don’t get blindsided by one timeframe.

This is brilliant mate very wise words well done, I've been trading 18months now I've got a long way to go I'm full time and on the charts every week day same time every morning some weeks I loose some weeks I break even and last week I made some decent profit.but like you say consistency I'd key just keep going and never give up!!
