Interesting how different brains function. For example, my parents were killed in a car accident when I was 8. I was in the vehicle but survived. As i grew older, friends from broken homes like mine started using to escape. The way my 16 year old brain processed our(my friends) situation was a polar opposite. I believed these friends were mentally creating a false reality through substance misuse and abuse. I figured without any support I'd need to not only do well, but excel . I went on to become an ER Physician.
Differences in brain chemistry, how choices are made and the affect they have on entire lives, fascinate me.
