- China’s New Maglev Bullet Train Is Now World’s Fastest Land Vehicle!
China maglev train 600 km/h or 373 mph speed is insanely fast and a world record. China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation unveiled the production version of its maglev bullet train in Qingdao.
The 600 km/h maglev transportation system will also help consolidate China's leading position in high-speed railway technology, along with Germany, Japan, the UK, Canada, and the US, which are the main countries that are engaged in the development of maglev trains.
Elon Musk has pushed the idea of a “Hyperloop” that shoots passengers in a pod through an airless tube at up to 600 mph. Billionaire investor and Musk pal Richard Branson tested the concept in a 100-mph trial run with two passengers in December, promising that he would one-day shuttle passengers from New York City to Washington, DC, in 30 minutes.
Of course, the train’s record might not stand for long. The Central Japan Railway Company is currently testing a maglev train it says will be able to top out at 375 mph, according to New Atlas. But that isn’t expected to make its debut until 2027 at the earliest. That gives China plenty of time to refine and upgrade its bullet train and push its top speed even higher.

We'll where's the space shuttle at now? 50 billion dollars on the international space station and we're not going to talk about the billions of dollars the United States is about to spend to put some fool on Mars. @@carlsmith1118 you forgot the airline bailout that was used for stock buybacks 🤣 I agree Amtrak is just a failing business and the way it’s funded and set up half private half public service is a huge issue. They blow all of this money on Alstom “High speed trains” to only save 20 minutes on the journey. If they invested that money in expanding their owned tracks instead or changing their funding to rely less on states funding failing routes (because the same states refuse to invest in local transit including the same train service they pay Amtrak for lol so who’s going to take the train?) they would have more trains and potential to success instead it’s a political mess designed to fail for congressmen to get rich off oil, airlines, and car companies. (And I have 0 doubt the airlines give massive perks to “frequent fliers” in congress to kill any successful public rail plan) however my point still stands the US needs a massive Eisenhower highway system like investment in rail infrastructure and it would be successful if they actually wanted it to succeed but with the lobbying and monopolies of the private rails and airport slots it’s not looking likely anytime soon

But far more expensive
This and other videos report this train to be the fastest train however so far I didn`t find any videos of an actual highspeed run.
The track looks like it is same size and design of the Transrapid line in Shanghai (the whole train basically looks like an upgraded TR08) so shouldn`t they be able to do test runs on that line (obviously they wouldn`t be able to set a speed record there since the linear motor in that track is not built for 600 km/h but they could test other systems of their new train). I also didn`t find any videos of a highspeed maglev test track. I only found information that they are constructing one atm.
It seems that this train has yet to prove that it actually is able to go that fast so you can`t really call it the fastest train. Unlike the Japanese L0 Series that has set the world speed record for a maglev train back in 2015. Since there seems to be no actual test run the L0 remains the fastest train.
Yes you are right. The test speed record of the Chinese train is not available. The track loop is ready and the prototype train is there also. It must be some problems encountered during the trial. However, the 600 km/h speed of China's new maglev refers to the design speed. The top speed during the test should be higher than this.
@@thetrueworld8317 Ik, the train probably would need a top speed of 650-700 to be able sustain 600 km/h operating speed.
That makes it even more interesting to see if their pimped transrapid is actually able to go that fast and set a new train speed record.
Relax, just like the train was not existing before, but is now in existence, the tests and finally the use will prevail in time. Obviously you don't create a new thing and in a wink of an eye everything falls in line. After all, the Chinese never said they want everything to be in place and operating before yesterday.....
The Chinese don't compete, they just mind their business and go forward.

China's CF600 maglev EMS prototype train testing at over 600 kph with goals of 800 kph is fantastic! A full scale implementation should start a new much wider loading gauge of about 8 meters wide or more. A double width loading gauge has been envisioned and even allowed for since the beginning of the railroad age on 1840s UK dual track railways that were designed to occasionally have double width carriages using the inner rails of the dual tracks.
Maglev trains don't have the load limits of the rail wheel interface and are able to support loads distributed across the track bed. An 8 meter wide loading gauge would allow the easy transport of large assemblies overland greatly changing the world. Three TEU cross width carriage should be a minimal sizing requirement .
An 8 meter wide loading gauge would allow stability for three passenger levels. The first level might best be used for cargo with perpendicular side simultaneous drive-on drive-off of automobiles and cargo containers that could take place in a one minute stop. High speed cargo might make profit. Passenger trains tend to not make profit.
The second and third levels could be luxury continues passenger space with vista dome roofs for passengers to see forward watching the scenery. This configuration would allow more comfort for the same number of passengers in 1/4 the length of today popular single level trains that stretch out several city blocks.
There would be enough room after parking to walk around the cars allowing the train to depart as soon as the automobiles have loaded and before people have collected their belongings to exit their cars. Loading and unloading needs to be staged and simultaneous to allow 1 minute stops. The unloading and loading of roll on cargo and cars should be able to work much like a traffic light stop and go.
High transfer passenger stations could have exit and entry to from the staton to all levels of the train to speed loading. Rural stations with small numbers of people would have loading at level 1 cargo level with passengers having to go up internal stairs to the passenger levels.
All very high speed trains need incrementally cheap to free electricity for their huge electrical demands such as their own hydropower generators with unlimited water. New technology nuclear power is likely the next closest option.
Ahaa i think china can give malaysia a Best train for speed if HSR in malaysia will do it one day

If hyperloop tech was any good the Chinese would have acquired it by now.
Japan's SCMaglev isn't faster than this?
Yes technically, the L0 Series`s top speed is 603 km/h but the Japanese will operate the planed Chuo Shinkansen line at 500 km/h. The Chinese want to operate at their maglev lines at 600 km/h, so the Chinese train would be faster in daily operation.
However so far it seems that there wasn`t an actual highspeed test run of the Chinese train so we don`t lnow if it is even able to hit 600 km/h. The Chinese train probably would need a top speed of around 650 km/h to be able to sustain 600 km/h operating speed.
@蔡English Well I still don't find any video footage of a high speed test run.
As if the CCP would let such a record go to waste and not plaster it all over the news and internet (especially since it would break a Japanese record) so I highly doubt that the Chinese train has proven yet to be actually this fast...
@蔡English 780 km/h would beat the current record by almost 180 km/h.
If they actually managed to pull this off they would show off this achievement all over the world.
Just take a look at the last two train speed records. Both the L0 Series Shinkansen run of 603 km/h and the TGV run of 574 km/h are well documented. You will easily find video evidence of both runs on yt.
There is no way in hell that the Chinese government would not make a huge spectale out of it if they were actually able to destroy the old world record by such a margin.
