    looks like you got a really sharp copy! mine gets really soft at f2 so I basically use it at f2.5 and above 90% of the time. love what you were able to get out of it!

    Truly, thank you for this! I've been wanting something for my R7 that's lower than 56mm equivalent. And manual focus aside, these results look fantastic! Gonna delve into the manual focus world!

      My pleasure man. The price point is so good that you can’t lose you can only win. Manual focus will literally make you feel so fulfilled by the shots you get because of the effort involved in getting it. It’s like getting surgery to get the body you want versus working out and putting the time in to get the body you want lol. Silly example but very similar feel.

    I've this lens on X mount and the 7artisans version on EOS M. I've also the TTArtisan 35mm on both X and EOS M and they are all incredible. Can't fault them

    I zone focus as well, but the issue never happened on my x-e2. I can definitely see it being an issue on a sony aps-c though (or the a7c if it has a similar grip). I enjoy the little grip on the a6000 but lenses do kind of make it feel a bit cramped with longer fingers because of my knuckles being right there but it's usually more of a slight discomfort rather than an issue.

    I have the a6400&18-50 sigma 2.8. does it make sense to buy this lens as a pancake or my compact sigma already outperformes it?

    • @xhynetuseinovski
      @xhynetuseinovski  Год назад +3

      This is a definite buy because it’s way more compact than the 18-50. As long as you are cool with experimenting with manual focus (maybe you’re experienced with it already) then this lens is perfect.

    Я сейчас тоже пользуюсь а6400

      I appreciate that a lot and I thank you for watching. The A6400 was such a great camera. I have nothing bad to say about it. However, I will probably never buy an APSC camera again. Full frame sensor just offers more flexibility in dynamic range allowing better low light and you can take your color grading a lot further, which is important since Sony colors just aren’t appealing at all. The only reason I ever considered APSC was cost. The value for the money was logical. This is another reason why I can’t see myself buying a Fuji camera unless it was one of the medium formats. Last thing, I love that when I buy a 35mm lens, it’s 35mm. I don’t have to do any mathematics to figure out which focal length it actually is on APSC which was really mentally consuming. If you like the A6400, you will absolutely love the A7CII.

    Beautifully composed and framed photos and very good image quality out of a budget third party manual lens...actually it is quite impressive. However, I wonder if you’ve tried the 7artisans 25mm f/1.8 which is very similar in many aspects except that it is said to have a smoother bokeh and a better overall image quality with a sweet minimum focusing distance. The 7artisans is said to be superior in every aspect, but it doesn’t feature a “clicky” aperture ring and there is no hard stop point at infinity, unfortunately … I haven’t tried either yet to be honest and what about the so called “field curvature” that the TTartisan 25mm f/2 has been reported to exhibit? Non of your beautiful images showed that and I wonder if you cropped them a little bit in post or the frames you added were supposed to treat that optical flaw? or the issue was automatically delt with by means of using a full frame camera with the crop mode enabled? Interested to know if you don’t mind...again...thanks for sharing such beautiful images...

    Is it also possible to use this lens on a analog-camera?

      if you can find an adapter for it.

    • @alquimista000
      @alquimista000 Месяц назад

      look into the flange focal distance of different mounts. to adapt it, the the FFD of the camera body's mount must be smaller than the lens' FFD. thus, the adapter is basically a spacer so that the lens can focus on the sensor. otherwise, you'd need an adapter with a lens, which could degrade image quality, and it is almost impossible to find commercially available ones.

    viltrox 20 2.8 should be better choice for a small lens

      Plus it’s AF so it doesn’t really count as better. It’s in an entirely different lens group.
