The melee combo that destroys magic - OSRS LEAGUES 4 or trailblazer reloaded challenge where linksocarina and rargh fight to find out who will make the best pk account on their ironmen this pvp pking challenge is a great way to see what relics do what and how to progress in the game.

Pest control is good xp aswell
Link get a dspear or mith seeds. Trust me.
Also camping blood barrage on autocast is likely better, only ice for refreeze if you're not confident enough in your micro.
If you're REALLY confident in micro'ing ancients without autocast, staff of the dead spec can be used to halve melee damage but keep in mind you can't switch away from it.

I think one of the biggest problems here with the lopsided combat triangle is the fact that the winner of the series is determined by total wins this time around.
When/if Rargh manages to catch up as a melee build he'll likely already have lost the series.
I actually do think thats a better way to do it going forward though, just kinda unfortunate how it worked out with this series.
Link: Complains that far casting should be allowed because Rargh made him eat food early in the fight.
Also Link: Ends the fight only having eaten 6 food.

Fucking this dude ....!!! Specially with that HP for specs and a lightbarer he could just keep links pray off the whole fight xD I want to see rargh bring full dharock with the new prayers and the accuracy per missing HP relic... Would be busted
@@yoururmum dharocks aint worth it, camping low hp with full gear thats bad against magic? not the play at all, but d scim spec into dds specs or even better a 2h weapon like godswords, that would be the end of link

I can't believe Link is like "this is why freezing is fair" and proceeds to win the 3rd straight freeze match (probably 100% win throughout dozens of challenges they've done) barely eating any food again...
love the content boys keep it up. even if the magic is stupid op, seeing rargh tryin his best to come up with a way to counter it is a lot of fun to watch.
Very good episode, well worth the wait. Even if Kins gets swept its really fun to watch him get creative.
kins could win next episode if he gets a fire cape while alching, then goes and gets 70 prayer at pest control while training attack. i dont remember his regions but if he has kandarin and can get piety then thats a good move too.
Lol a fire cape isn’t going to make the difference of 15+ food that link still has in his inventory
@@amiralli7236 It's not about the fire cape, he just needs a decent spec weapon and to ko when he gets close, that's pretty much his only option.
@@whattaninja3751 Rargh is not going to win the series at all. it takes way to long to get a set up with reoccurring ko chances (weapon mastery). until then, link safes up and far casts. great move by Link getting mage relic in a series where each win counts. last fight winning series, rargh would have a chance.

Rargh deserves props because that was the kinda plan he needed to even attempt a comeback but barring throwing for content or them reverting back to a final battle instead of cumulative it’s just straight up over.

Theres so much better gear he could get and 16 more mage levels for mage defence ,augry and like 30 attack and defence levels fang blood fury maybe ruinous prayers for the melee boost and sooo much more I think he definately has a shot maybe link will still win if he goes for shadow otherwise I think rargh takes the end game link only has mage and defence to level and the shadow is the big ticket if he doesn't get the drop he's fooked

Hurts to see rargh make amazing gains just to have link farcast. Yeah it’s part of the game but series is over, only chance rargh has a chance to win is just stacking him out right away otherwise rapid firing ice barrage is too op. Rargh needs to get a special attack asap

I'm playing leagues myself, and even then, withdrawals were kicking in waiting for this
The issues with leagues is that the combat boosts are way too OP. Its the combat triangle on steroids. However, in melee range, neither magic nor ranged stand a chance.
Its not like they can implement a non-farcast rule either because of that, otherwise, you might as well have Link intentionally throw fights to make things "look more even".
Ragh bring seeds and if he far cast you just seed out of freeze range
Link hits consistently on Ket-Zeks in Fight Caves (lvl 240 magic defense) and can hit Jad (lvl 480 magic defense), and Rargh still thinks he can get his magic defense high enough to tank him? Ok...
Zero chance to tank, only chance he has is a K.O. from the double hit chance on a max hit, and even then, Link only needs to keep his Protection Prayers on to prevent that.

Rargh can try as hard as he wants but he's never going to regularly beat mage. There is too much to have to micromanage in the fight vs if he had just gone range or mage and just used attack and proceeded to drool on himself.
He could easily beat mage. Like he said, he can max a literal 80 without prayer on. all rargh has to do is get his prayer up and smite link once, especially if link doesn't have him frozen. without melee prayer on, link would get shredded if he's frozen.

No, he couldn't. All Link has to do to win is: Freeze, run around, keep pray up. He barely needs to eat or worry about anything.
Meanwhile, Rargh has to spam his food to out eat Link's dps, while timing his binds and HOPING it doesn't splash. Smite won't do much, he can barely reach him with his melee setup, and his magic won't be able to smite him efficiently. Plus Link shouldn't get smited has he have high prayer + he only has to worry about keeping his pray up.
Rargh could have 300 magic defense, it wouldn't be enough. It requires to much RNG to beat him. Could it happen? of course. Could he win the serie? Nope. Not with the rules they set.

I was shitting on rargh for the previous episodes for his decisions, but today im giving props to rargh for sticking to Pest control and doing what he did

Rargh can't pull this back. He's at such a massive disadvantage. Maybe if he gets ZGS and specmaster or something but even then it's not gonna be pretty
He definitely can turn it around. Three 21s through prayer at the start of the fight was nutty. He could also consider going for a heavy hitting ranged weapon swap like a balista, the 2 tick axe into a balista hit off prayer would be wild.

if he: goes to get a fire cape while alching (to raise mage level for more defense), then goes back to pest control to get prayer up, he could be good.
another way he could easily win is to try to get a dragon spear. if rargh can spear link he could easily get probably 4-5 hits on him before he unfreezes from that, which would easily be 50+ damage even with prayer on. combine that with smite and link would be in a tough spot. never mind the fact that the spear has 4 specs. if link got speared once and then took 4 hits, he would not have time to freeze rargh back. and then rargh could spear him again and repeat.
in my honest opinion, both of them need to try to get a dragon spear lol

I'm so happy that this series really stands out as something totally different in comparison to all of the other league content being posted right now. The fights are such a huge toss up, you have no idea where they're going to go and I'm loving it.

Farcast just makes it unfair for this fight. The freezes hitting basically everytime.
It does freeze everytime...it's part of the rune. This is part of the combat triangle, mage is supposed to beat melee. Farcast is part of the game for one, two Rargh can easily out dps mage while next to each other. He needs to figure out how to lock Link down for a short amount of time and he will win. There are ways to do it, and he will figure it out I'm sure.

Rargh getting smoked so bad even the title of the video is trying to gaslight us into thinking he has a chance lol. It was a great effort to try and make a comeback but I just don't see a world where melee is going to out dps mage. Seems like rarghs only chance is to get lucky and smack 2 max hits in a row

Every episode you guys crack me up. In the interface on crafting, smithing, etc, on the top right corner you have all enabled instead of 1, 5, 10, x.... hope you see this! Stop dropping your crafts haha
Gonna have to get a 3 way switch? range and the range helm with a crossbow is the way to go? At least you can hit him, also need to get some DDing on him cos it’ll mess up his freeze timings or even better just use fire surge?

I do think this shows how one sided this combat triangle is currently. Hopefully Rargh keeps at it and maybe gets lucky going forward. Keep up the high spirits @Rargh you got this!

The high chance of being frozen makes rarghs dps 0 while it increases Links to 20. ZGS or voidwaker might spec link out before he can run. That's really all I can think of.
For real they say it was close when link has almost his whole inventory of food left 🙄

Don't see rargh coming back from all these losses considering it is overall wins not final fight wins. Don't know if I'll keep watching this season, mage from a distance is way too op and link has just about already won the season... really was enjoying the collection log series tho so will definatly be watching that

The dorgeshuun crossbow task is weird. I bought one super early, you have to have Asgarnia unlocked for the task.
Also does Rsrgh know he doesn't need antifire for dragons or wyvern? Melee relic makes you immune

You need a smaller arena. Freeze is 100%, so there's no counter if you run and attack. Use tile highlighters or something so that you have a smaller area to run, and it allows rargh to get hits in instead of being killed by rng and a relic that was never pvp balanced.

Everyone saying this a sweep but Rargh genuinely choked on his freezing time / Link negating his own freezes past 9 tiles. He also ate several times at 40+ hp in meele distance when Links max was 17. Just poor fight performance imo.
Please rargh. When you already have him entangled, dont just stand there frozen from a distance with your weapon out. Jesus

Rargh needs some dps while he's frozen. Dealing no damage just give link free reign on freezes cuz he doesn't even have to worry about eating once he has distance.

These fights have all essentially been the same outcome so far. The 2nd fight was only super quick because Rargh didn't get protection prayers for some reason. There hasn't been any real progress to getting Rargh a win, but it's entertaining to see him try.

@@amiralli7236 I don’t know if Rargh was out or not. If he wasn’t, he died due to KO potential, and according to Link, Rargh had KO potential through most of the fight as well, so at this point is anyone’s game
But anyways, going from wrecked to make your opponent scared of dying is still big progress
Link is destroying fire cape monsters with high mage defense and even with full void and prayer rargh still gets demolished my mage. There’s nothing defensive wise rargh can really get to counter the mage relic lol.

I always skip the reveals, but now i also skip the fight!! Small suggestion.., the combat style you choose is the one you can't use in the fights, might make for a better fight at the end?

This is a tough series to watch, if only you guys could change up the combat relics. I like seeing one of you win a few then the other then back, etc. Mage just seems insane on leagues!

You're supposed to do 10 zeal into prayer at a time, because the reward scales up with your level. Wasted a ton of exp right there
