- Pro Football and College Football Hall of Fame defensive back Deion Sanders joins Tom today to discuss what inspired him to return to college football as head coach of FCS Jackson State University, the story behind his multiple NFL team swaps, and how he keeps up with former teammates. Later in the episode, Sanders talks about his comedy TV show idea, how he can help Tom once again get those gorgeous locks back on his head, they even give a quick (but beautiful) demonstration on their storytelling and karaoke skills.

@@gandar54 Really? How can you be against that? A lot of athletes have interesting lives and backstories. You don't think that you'd get some good comedy routines if you put those athletes together with comedy elites and have them coach them? That's gold. You could probably make a Netflix series out of the whole concept. You could have each episode be a different athlete/comedian pair with the end of the episode being the athlete's routine in front of a live audience.

@@gandar54 Sounds like you've never played (at least) college ball or been in a locker room.... nothing wrong with that, but maaaan, there are HILARIOUS players, coaches, equipment staff, GA's in all programs.
On his show, the stand-up will be unpolished at times, but the behind the scenes & training leading up to the show will be hilarious for those guys. Then other guys may be hams & naturally gifted at performing. It really is a good concept.
Especially if it's not just football players. Steven Adams (NBA, Pelicans) would win his episode! Charles Barkley would lose, but his behind the scenes would prolly make you cry laughing, Pat McAfee would be a cheat code, any offensive lineman that wanted to do it would probably kill it, d-line too (Spice Adams).....
Actually any pro athlete would have a chance with a 5 minute routine. Trust me there's plenty of material to pull from... You all don't watch any ex/current player podcasts?!? Those are 50% informative 50% jokes and funny stories!
I don't even like football, and this was one of the most entertaining and engaging interviews I have ever seen.

Only 10 mins in and I can say this is absolutely the BEST interview I've ever seen, Tom like most of us is such a huge Deion fan and has so much respect for him and Deion has so much personality and respect for Tom, the show idea is actually an absolute hit, honestly they have great chemistry... Tom and Deion is a podcast I'd watch religiously

This is honestly my favorite podcast that Tom is a part of. I fucking love YMH and 2B1C but hearing him on his own and asking questions he wants to ask is truly amazing to listen to. He fan boys out (and I would do the same) talking to people that he's a fan of. Thanks Tim!

The fact that Deion Sanders essentially made the idea of being best friends with Tom happen after like literally 15 mins of knowing him is a serious testament to T-Bunz power. Him and Brent are in deep competition right now.

@Nicolas Ortiz You can’t make everyone happy. There will always be some loud miserable people complaining about what your decisions. Might as well just do what’s right for you, your loved ones, and even the world in general if you want to be a really good person. Just know that you’ll be criticized every step of the way.
Joe just did what every podcast I listen to (I listen to many) has been talking about doing for years but we’re obviously afraid to take the leap.
I bet joe expected praise for leading the way and I think he deserves it. Maybe people will realize later on that he did a great thing. Shit it may force YT to ease up on their demonetizing and he could end up just coming on back when his contract ends at Spotify. Or Spotify will improve their platform and more people will go their. Or a whole new platform will rise up. Who knows. Some change is coming though. People need to be patient and stop bashing Joe so soon.
