The main problem with Tadap was that it wasn't R rated as the original movie. Also Tara Sutaria's acting was not even 10% of Payal Rajout's acting

Original movie took the step and openly talked about lust, and about how the hero got played for lust. The remake attempted to sanitize this into a "cleaner" version, which kind of dampened the excitement.
