You forgot something with Hito. Zone became a decent opener now that it doesn't drain half your stamina. Also there's this sweetspot where you still land a kick with a basically sweep timing if you get the timing juuust right.

P.S.Also Zhan has a little bit more gb vulnerability on light and heavy dodge,so he actually can be gbed out of dodge attack. P.S.p.s.Also his zone and UB light are pretty reactable,and kinda usable only in 4v4
@@ceryage2796 u serious? He has two dodge attacks to mix it up, make it harder to parry them. To make up for that hes more gb vulnerable. Light UBs are hard to parry if theyre unexpected/not used too often, and if you react to orange, then u might get gb'ed because he actually feinted a heavy

I wouldn't hate Orochi as hard as I do if 99.98% of their mains weren't extremely toxic fucks. Seriously, if Orochi was deleted, the game would be a WHOLE less toxic.

out of all samurai i have the most repspect for the people who grinded nobu. she was never a good hero the players who played her were always the skill issue.
i would have no problems with kyoshin if his full guard 5 hit combo actually fed revenge and drained stamina the longer he was in it. everything else about the hero is fun. crushing counters mixups armor, everything looks and is nice its just that one issue
Have you been ganked before by a kyoshin that is just spamming full block? I also enjoy playing him I'll give you that but he is still really annoying and frustrating to play against

I used aramusha because ppl that cant deal with his light attacks give me immense pleasure Then if they can deal with it I suddenly mix them into oblivion and laugh as they complain about lightspam like its still a relevant issue
Not sure if this is something you forgot or if it’s a thing, but I’m a Kensei main who used to be a fat Orochi. If anyone knows the fat scout from TF2 where a heavy runs around with a shotgun, a fat Orochi is a Kensei that spams dodge heavies like how an inexperienced Orochi would spam dodge lights
I feel like samurai heroes are the some of the most feast or famine heroes in the game. The player either uses the heroes whole kit and is a menace, or just soams dodge attacks and is trash
For the 2nd type of Shinobi players, I just loved cosplaying as scorpion and yelling "GET OVER HERE" every time i pulled the guardbreak off. It wasn't effective for the slightest, but it was mad funny to me. Slide tackle was also kinda funny, but i do have to say it was annoying to be on the reciving end of it. (I also just miss the chargable long range heavys, the spinning was neat)
When I used to play( I stopped playing because I switched from xbox to pc ). I was a kensei main and from personal experience he is a really good pick for both people learning the game and people who have been playing for a long time. I did use is side attack a bit but I stayed away from it and really learned the full set which he has. I dont remember the move or the buttons for it but when I played him I found a move with a really specific and I mean really specific combo, which you also had to time pretty well or it would not work properly ( I'm assuming it was because of the amount of buttons you had to press, also it might even be a move that the devs forgot they put in and never put it in the skillset combos screen ) But to this day I have never seen anyone use this move. When I played I would say I was pretty decent, due to the fact that me and my friend if we lost a round would go into practice and train with each other and get better. It was at a point where we stopped loosing matches tho and I became far better than my friend. So at the end of the day its not always about the character you use or even how you utilize them but it all comes back to true skill and practicing to become better day by day.
To be fair, old shino had really satisfying range guardbreaks. I feel like they can still implement ranged attacks without breaking the game with a new rework. Less 50/50’s with less range on range attacks and you got a unique hero. My gripe with the new rework because it’s just berserker/black prior without the hyper armor and with a unguardbreakable bash 5:25
I don't know if I'm the rare player who enjoys 1v1 as Kyoshin, but I do. It's fun. I like how you have to mix well and have good timing for 1v1s. I like the challenge.
As a roach main, i do agree that certain parts of his kit (mainly stormrush) are a bit busted. But i don't really find him difficult to fight. The dodge cancel he has isn't really as good as people think it is, cause it mainly chains into more dodge attacks, i:e. free light attacks and zones if they throw storm rush, free light parries if they throw a dodge attack, and a guardbreak if they try to fake you out. Like most other characters, fighting him is based on reads, and paired with roaches low health pool, if you know what yo're doing, he's light work. But, I'm a rep 70 roach, so take my "he's not difficult to fight" with a grain of salt. It's a different case for everyone. There are a few things i'd change about him, no dodge canceling into storm rush, bring back the old storm rush where sides are dodgeable and top is undodgeable, heavy deflect, slow down his back dodge light, and probably increase the amount of frames he can be guardbroken for after a dodge. Other than that, he's meh. Not the best or worst, but just kind of the stylistic assassin choice.
Old shinobi is my main and he is better then the reworked one. The ability to dodge backwards as bait on a forward heavy into a deflect sickle rain was lit. His ability to long range GB allies and prevent them from being GB shoved of ledges was completey unique. Also the run was fun. New shinobi has no soul, is weak in 4v4s, has bad health, range and damage
New shinobi is better in fours than old shinobi, with much better ganks than “GB/heavy off screen”. His range is farther than the average character with the forwards movement of sickle rain and flips kicks. I’m sorry you can no longer attack at a range no one can hit you back. I can agree about the soul a little bit. Unfortunately old shinobi identity was annoying rat. Slide sprint attack, range attacks off screen and super sprint made for annoyance that was kinda a throw.
Don't fuck with us Nobushi mains. We swear by the Cat Ears ornament and think we have 800 IQ when we discover you can chain Hidden Stance into kick. We also used to ship Nobushi and Male Warden together back in the day to a concerning degree.
Kensei is insanely good. The dude has an amazing base kit, mixups, and i frames out the wazoo on dodge attacks, plus half of his attacks catch other characters dodge attacks
I know Hito mains arent that liked but I respect their Moveset bc his moves are easy but the combos in training mode are so hard to do with Charged feints and everything.
Orochi is one of the few characters(Orochi, Shaolin, Tiandi and Shinobi) right now that is not playing the same game as the rest of the cast. I say this in just how they play in comparison to the rest of the cast. The rest of the cast usually has either a strong offense or strong defense and they lack the opposite. However these characters are different in the fact that their offense is tied into their defense and it leads to an imbalance at even the highest level of play. I feel like the most frustrating thing about these characters is how "easy" they are to play and how it requires more effort to beat these characters than to play them.
and this all stems from the same same problem. being able to dodge recovery cancel on miss. this leads to their "offense" basically ending when they choose it to and their defense being really easy. im glad other people think the same way i do
@@RAPTORREX_ Yeah that's a big issue but also being able to follow up whiffed bashes doesn't help either. I'm all for offense being stronger than defense but I'm not cool with certain characters bashes getting this treatment but not others. That's what leads to power creep and etc.
the one about shugoki is respectable. you play him bcz you just like playing the big fat characters not taking the game seriously and just being goofy. roadhog, wario, snorlax, etc
Nobu main here, its the truth lol, i had shino 70 for so long and after his rework i went back to Nobu cause i had to relearn a rep 70 hero, Ive had nobu 70 for a while too and i can say she is without a doubt one of the hardest heroes to master
As a orochi main i have no shame in my game i was there when he was ok at the game i was there when he was a cake walk i was there when i had nothing but a deflect to the name and i will say im riding the lighting for how long it takes me (shit cracks me up to get the hate messages) but still had me laughing on that segment

ah....but what about a Kyoshin that refuses to babysit in ganks, uses other full guard attacks rather then light, and generally fights 1v1? Are they the exceptions? Edit: Also, I'd say other full guard heroes are almost as bad when they babysit, yet no one bats an eye. Yeah, I agree, Kyoshin sitting in the back (as someone who likes him, I refuse to do that) is annoying as hell, but really, all he's doing is wasting time by just sitting there (Although it should feed a shit ton more revenge). That, and at least his full guard doesn't have an undodgeable like Warlord's or straight up Regenerate as a tier 2 feat like Black Prior (and his flip too). All full guards are the most annoying to get ganked by, Kyoshin is just the most obvious.
Yea all full guards are very annoying in ganks I just think that the hate is cantered towards kyoshin for 2 reasons and I think you’d agree. On release kyoshin could chain his 6 hit full block combo with another kyoshin infinitely making it a 100-0 gank that didn’t feed revenge cause of bleed. And with every other full block hero they hit you once when kyoshin just wails on you for a good 5 seconds.
I one many wishes to have a range of many people, but I want it to be balanced and not frustrating. My suggestion is to just give it to the heavy attacks that way you can parry.
As a former roach main, i just play him for the fashion realy till i got most of it then switched to warden and kensei Also thanks for the fun content!
Tbf Orochi wasn't that great in 1s for awhile. This is coming from a dude who used to be able to react for froward movement before the bash changes. Orochi is now really good in duels and Before his storm rush nerfs orochi was a really good ganker and 4s hero. Now he's just a good 4s hero and a good ganker. Storm rush confirms are still good just not hitstun rule breaking great

Im a pre rework rep 70 shinobi and old shinobi was actully fun to play, and it took skill to get good with. It always hurt me to see a shinbi just sitting back ranged attacking and running. With the rework he became so easy to play takes have the brain power, i dont even play him as much because hes just the same four moves over and over
I am absolutely DYING from your kyoshin opinion. I myself play kyoshin alot and can't help but find myself just full guarding in team-fights alot, AND I do just run head first into anti-ganks like a dumbass XD

Dont forget the sub stereotype for Nobushi. NUwUshi, these guys have handcrafted the most uwu cringe ass set up known to man. These guys are similar to crusader warders, they have a 50/50 chance of being straight awful, or the scariest mf in the lobby.

@@RAPTORREX_nowadays we have a sore lack of really technical heroes, and I don’t mean mix up focused heroes. I mean real unique ones with defining character. Highlander is the last one, and he’s going to be another bash feint hero. He’ll still have some of the old stuff, but nobody is gonna use it. Plus that caber toss looks awful now.
My experience fighting a kyoshin player they hold full block, try to gb and eat a combo, try baiting out the heavy but get bashed and eat a light, finally get a hit in, they instantly full block as I light, watch as I get combo'd with bleed and they get their health back while I die how am I supposed to counter kyoshin again?
As a shinobi main I love new shinobi and old shinobi I loved old shinobi because I liked using my ranged attacks and utilizing distancing to punish people. I would’ve liked if they just got rid of ranged GB but I’ve moved on and grown fond of using parry punish combos and deflects to take down opponents.
Old shinobi play style felt very unique in game. A psuedo long range assassin based on guard breaks. No other character even currently is truly centered around them. Even though they seem hard to break it only took one grab to turn a fight his old play style. I don’t really play him to say which is better or worse but I do think he was unique

I remember a 2v2 match I did with a friend against a kyoshin. I was playing black prior and I countered that man so many times that when he went to do the full block to unblockable that I felt his restraint when I went into full block myself
I am relatively new to the game, having 28 overall prestige, and 12 of them are currently in the Orochi... And i can say... He is not only easy, and i always didn't understand, why he isn't good, and his moveset is just... It's not the most effective moveset, but from aesthetics side it's just freakin' perfect
I would like to ask hito mains a question. Why do you play that character? He's boring and overpowered. The warriors den for Y7S2 proves that the devs are complete pushovers for that character. Your moveset consists of two buttons: heby and bash. Honestly no hard feelings at all I'm genuinely just curious.

As someone who plays a lot of zhanhu for his flow, I hate that orochi has more recovery than him.
The difference though is that zanhu has two different dodge attacks and unblockable light attacks and a super fast undodgable zone

New shinobi is better in fours than old shinobi, with much better ganks than “GB/heavy off screen”.
His range is farther than the average character with the forwards movement of sickle rain and flips kicks. I’m sorry you can no longer attack at a range no one can hit you back.
I can agree about the soul a little bit. Unfortunately old shinobi identity was annoying rat. Slide sprint attack, range attacks off screen and super sprint made for annoyance that was kinda a throw.
New shinobi is a much better character from a balance standpoint but old shinobi was so unique and fun
Don't fuck with us Nobushi mains. We swear by the Cat Ears ornament and think we have 800 IQ when we discover you can chain Hidden Stance into kick.
We also used to ship Nobushi and Male Warden together back in the day to a concerning degree.

Kensei is insanely good. The dude has an amazing base kit, mixups, and i frames out the wazoo on dodge attacks, plus half of his attacks catch other characters dodge attacks
sadly a huge ammount of heros just do what kensei can but better. also people who play kensei normally dont use his full kit so unlucky

I never thought I would hate a character more than Tiandi. Then Kyoshin came out.
I know Hito mains arent that liked but I respect their Moveset bc his moves are easy but the combos in training mode are so hard to do with Charged feints and everything.
As a Law Bringer main I miss parrying OLD Shinobi and landing him on his ass.
I must be the best kyoshin then cuz I’m 1v1s I thrive and actually try to stay away from being in the middle of ganks

Orochi is one of the few characters(Orochi, Shaolin, Tiandi and Shinobi) right now that is not playing the same game as the rest of the cast. I say this in just how they play in comparison to the rest of the cast. The rest of the cast usually has either a strong offense or strong defense and they lack the opposite. However these characters are different in the fact that their offense is tied into their defense and it leads to an imbalance at even the highest level of play. I feel like the most frustrating thing about these characters is how "easy" they are to play and how it requires more effort to beat these characters than to play them.
and this all stems from the same same problem. being able to dodge recovery cancel on miss. this leads to their "offense" basically ending when they choose it to and their defense being really easy. im glad other people think the same way i do
@@RAPTORREX_ Yeah that's a big issue but also being able to follow up whiffed bashes doesn't help either. I'm all for offense being stronger than defense but I'm not cool with certain characters bashes getting this treatment but not others. That's what leads to power creep and etc.

Nobu main here, its the truth lol, i had shino 70 for so long and after his rework i went back to Nobu cause i had to relearn a rep 70 hero, Ive had nobu 70 for a while too and i can say she is without a doubt one of the hardest heroes to master
As a orochi main i have no shame in my game i was there when he was ok at the game i was there when he was a cake walk i was there when i had nothing but a deflect to the name and i will say im riding the lighting for how long it takes me (shit cracks me up to get the hate messages) but still had me laughing on that segment
5:40 tbh i really liked playing duels on old shinobi, i started playing right after his nerf and got to rep 70 before he got reworked, now i don't have main 😞

ah....but what about a Kyoshin that refuses to babysit in ganks, uses other full guard attacks rather then light, and generally fights 1v1? Are they the exceptions?
Edit: Also, I'd say other full guard heroes are almost as bad when they babysit, yet no one bats an eye. Yeah, I agree, Kyoshin sitting in the back (as someone who likes him, I refuse to do that) is annoying as hell, but really, all he's doing is wasting time by just sitting there (Although it should feed a shit ton more revenge). That, and at least his full guard doesn't have an undodgeable like Warlord's or straight up Regenerate as a tier 2 feat like Black Prior (and his flip too). All full guards are the most annoying to get ganked by, Kyoshin is just the most obvious.
Yea all full guards are very annoying in ganks I just think that the hate is cantered towards kyoshin for 2 reasons and I think you’d agree. On release kyoshin could chain his 6 hit full block combo with another kyoshin infinitely making it a 100-0 gank that didn’t feed revenge cause of bleed. And with every other full block hero they hit you once when kyoshin just wails on you for a good 5 seconds.
I one many wishes to have a range of many people, but I want it to be balanced and not frustrating. My suggestion is to just give it to the heavy attacks that way you can parry.
Dont forget that kensei has a top unlockable to side light spam that is annoying

Tbf Orochi wasn't that great in 1s for awhile. This is coming from a dude who used to be able to react for froward movement before the bash changes. Orochi is now really good in duels and Before his storm rush nerfs orochi was a really good ganker and 4s hero. Now he's just a good 4s hero and a good ganker. Storm rush confirms are still good just not hitstun rule breaking great

Im a pre rework rep 70 shinobi and old shinobi was actully fun to play, and it took skill to get good with. It always hurt me to see a shinbi just sitting back ranged attacking and running. With the rework he became so easy to play takes have the brain power, i dont even play him as much because hes just the same four moves over and over

@@RAPTORREX_nowadays we have a sore lack of really technical heroes, and I don’t mean mix up focused heroes. I mean real unique ones with defining character. Highlander is the last one, and he’s going to be another bash feint hero. He’ll still have some of the old stuff, but nobody is gonna use it. Plus that caber toss looks awful now.
My experience fighting a kyoshin player they hold full block, try to gb and eat a combo, try baiting out the heavy but get bashed and eat a light, finally get a hit in, they instantly full block as I light, watch as I get combo'd with bleed and they get their health back while I die how am I supposed to counter kyoshin again?
As a shinobi main I love new shinobi and old shinobi I loved old shinobi because I liked using my ranged attacks and utilizing distancing to punish people. I would’ve liked if they just got rid of ranged GB but I’ve moved on and grown fond of using parry punish combos and deflects to take down opponents.
Old shinobi play style felt very unique in game. A psuedo long range assassin based on guard breaks. No other character even currently is truly centered around them. Even though they seem hard to break it only took one grab to turn a fight his old play style. I don’t really play him to say which is better or worse but I do think he was unique

I remember a 2v2 match I did with a friend against a kyoshin. I was playing black prior and I countered that man so many times that when he went to do the full block to unblockable that I felt his restraint when I went into full block myself

I would like to ask hito mains a question. Why do you play that character? He's boring and overpowered. The warriors den for Y7S2 proves that the devs are complete pushovers for that character. Your moveset consists of two buttons: heby and bash. Honestly no hard feelings at all I'm genuinely just curious.
