Finishing the Wedding Gift Field Knives and Sheaths | Knife Making

- In this video I finish a pair of his and hers 4” field knives that I forged and heat treated in a previous video. I hand sanded the blades to a 600 grit satin finish, and wrapped each handle with 550-cord; pink for hers and hunter orange for his. I molded a pink kydex sheath for her knife, and a black kydex sheath for his knife. Both knives have a Blade Tech 9-hole Teklok belt clip that can be oriented for vertical or horizontal carry. The knives are a gift for a friend and his fiance who are getting married later this month.
Do what you love, and call it work! Thanks for watching!
Here is a link to part 1, where I forge and heat treat these two knives.

Hey Brother, .... if I get married, you are definitely invited! 💯😎👍🏻🔨🔥🗡️
😂 deal!
Hey man I've been watching a few of your videos and I gotta say I'm surprised you have less subs then me (mind you I'm a shit youtuber, barley upload videos) your making some great blades keep it up!
Lol, thanks man. It's a bit of a grind sometimes, but I have a lot of fun making videos. I figure if I just keep doing what I love I'll eventually find an audience that enjoys the content.
What eyelets do you use? I've bought two different kinds and can't seem to set them without them cracking or ripping. Having the press would probably help which I do plan on getting eventually.
I buy mine from HolsterSmith on Amazon. Poor quality eyelets seem to crack no matter what you do. Even with the ones I buy, I still have probably around 5% - 10% crack. If your eyelets are too long for the thickness of kydex you have it can create excessive rolling on the rim which can cause them to crack. You might want to try ordering one size shorter than what you're currently using. I find that the slower consistent pressure of the arbor press works much better than using a hand hammer to set them. Thanks for watching, and good luck!
I use 1/4"D #8-9L for 2 layers of 0.08" thick kydex.

Hi Is it possible that 4:33 has unshaven hair or is it just an optical illusion??
I think you're just seeing scuff marks on the black paper. I don't see any hair around the time you mentioned.
