@@the0nlytrueprophet942 Martínez at least had a top five season on his own initiative. De zerbi’s one good season was freeing riding off Brighton’s amazing six game start under potter.
He will be getting linked to Barcelona next season for sure. Once he has the full squad back.

Mentally, De Zerbi left Brighton weeks ago.
Makes me laugh some look no further than the results, yes everyone has an injury list, but in the case of Brighton the majority are first-team regulars, Kaoru Mitoma, Solly March, Pervice Estupinan, Jack Hinshalwood, Evan Furguson, are all out for the season, add to that list those that have had a number of weeks out since January, Tariq Lampty , Adam Webster, Paul van Heke Joel Veltman, James Milner, Billy Gilmore, Adam Lalana, Jakob Moder, joao Pedro, Julio Enciso, Simon Adingra, Many of them out at the same time, The comment Simon Jordan didn't like was one line from the statement by Dezerbi "You can't look at our results and not look at our injuries we are not Real Madrid" He was basically saying We are Brighton and unlike a club like Real Madrid we do not have the strength in depth to cope with such a crushing set of injuries, cut the man some slack, Simon

Said this the other day, the guy is a rat. A few weeks back, he was saying is isnt commiting to Brighton, doesn't know what the future holds etc... then Liverpool confirm he is not a target and Zebri does a u-turn, saying how much he loves being there, how great the players are etc. the guy was about to quit on the spot. Get rid of him, how do you expect the players to react, knowing you know the manager wants to leave.
Playing in Europe caught up with them this year. And like quite a few other teams, they’ve been decimated with injuries this season. They should be fine next season and being out of Europe will be beneficial for them with their league form.
Simon questioning the “character” of an Italian Manager. Shocking. There’s nothing that DeZerbi is saying that is wrong, or unreasonable or unprofessional. This is not an “outburst”. You lot are unreal. “Smacked of a Conte type of outburst”. As an Italian, DeZerbi’s reputation in Italy is nothing but positive. It’s incredible how the British media spin things to fit their narrative.
I agree. Moyes has won 3 in 22 & they hate when West Ham fans call up & say they want a change of manager.

All of whats happened was what we were warned about before RDZ came. Excitement, fantastic football, shipping goals, rash words. Then when we get the rollercoaster people forget the plain Jane days of Houghton and the school teacher nonchalance of Potter. You dont coattail a previous managers short good form, RDZ is a fantastic manager who is always learning and experimenting. He has got it wrong tactically on many occasions but he always wants to win.
We debuted two under 23s against Bournemouth in the hope of livening things up. Didnt work.
He's not the poster boy of calmness Thomas Frank - he's an Italian. He's said a lot of insensitive things yes but he isn't wrong. We did need to buy ib January, we haven't replaced our midfield to a level it was and we have had major injuries.
When Newcastle, City or Arsenal have injuries they have players like Barnes, Kovacic or Trossard come in. Like Brentford we dont have the reinforcements so it effects us greater.

That's the problem of over hyping these small team managers. Simon was on top of the world spreading the 'good news gospel' of how De Zerbi and Eddie Howe were going to finish above Tenhag, and eventually catchup with Pep. Well its aging well, ain't it.
so many teams this season have had torrid injuries lists across the season, his big stars from last year weren't even that great this season before injury.

For Liverpool - Endo, Macalister, Dias and Salah. So do you guys honestly think that those 3 top teams won't have struggles to replace those key players?

The brighton project has always been a bit of a fraudulent house of cards. Wouldn’t surprise me if they were to be eventually relegated in the next few years. The embarrassing loss to Roma showed that Dezerbi can’t coach. It actually was cringe when his name was being even remotely touted for big jobs like Liverpool and Bayern for a little while there.

@@willtallis5275 there is too much emphasis on attacking football now rather than being sufficiently flexible with the tactics to defeat the opponent. RDZ doesn't appear to adapt to circumstances.
