- Welcome back to Fixin2ride- Official Channel, Sled Heads!!!
In today's video "02 Arctic Cat ZR 800 CC Rebuild Part 20 || New Seat Cover [STEP by STEP Install]" I'm bringing back to you an update from 2020's 02 Arctic Cat ZR 800 CC Rebuild Series...
This is Part 20 in which I finally was able to get the seat cover and install it on to the sled and show you a step by step install... I tried to make installing the seat cover on the sled as detailed as I could for the limited amount of time I had to do it before taking out first trip up north to go sledding this past week.
Anyway, check the video out and let me know if you have any questions about the process of removing and installing the fuel tank, tail light, cushions, braces and cover from this model.
Thanks for taking the time to swing by again! If this is your first time visiting, consider joining the growing Fixin2Ride community and Subscribe & Smash the Alert Bell to get notified of future updates to the channel...

My dealer told me to put the seat cover in a clothes dryer to make fitting it easier. Great video, Thanks.
Oh that's interesting! Thx!
Lots. of work Andrew. But excellent video
Thanks and yes it can be a chore.
As always, perfect work!
Thanks buddy!
Absolutely love the content, love your attention to detail, I'm new to the snowmobile world, just picked up my first Artic Cat ZR 700 project, been watching all your videos to learn as much as I can, slightly off topic question, in warmer temperatures, working on the sled outside of the winter, can you run them for an unlimited amount of time without them overheating?
Welcome to your new additction! Ha ha.
Love me a 700! As you'll see on the channel. No to cannot. They have heat exchangers in the front of the tunnel and eotjer a set of long tunnel coolers that loop in the back or also a rear heat exchanger that dissapate heat when exposed to cold temps. You could run a hose on one of them but not for an unlimited amount of time. Ive seen people do a radiator and cooling fan swap for running them in the summer.
@@Fixin2Ride-Official- my son and I ride mid-90s Kawasaki stand up jet skis, love the two strokes, always wanted a sled, picked up a 700 for 500 bucks not running. Drain the fuel rebuilt carbs back together fired right up. Your Arctic Cat content has been invaluable for me to get accustomed to all the systems.
Heck yeah man! That's great to hear! Another Cat life saved!
SLED LIVES MATTER!!!
Great job 👍 i have a 2000 zrt. Where u get the cover? Mines discontinued. Looks like yours..but black.i would love that color
Friend of mine does them.
I would be interested in purchasing that same seat cover. If and when your friend is available/ready for more orders, i would like to be able to purchase one. Hard to find a seat cover that's not just plain black or black/green. Thanks.
I think shes pretty busy ever year. I barely get on the list. Its just one person making them.
Awesome Rebuild. I have an 01 ZL 800 that I need to place the seat cover. Where you get your cover from?
Thanks. Still have a couple small things to do but its a great sled! Runs strong.
I got the seat cover made by a friend on Facebook.
Great job!!! I have one of these sleds that I’m restoring. Where do you get your parts from. eBay and Amazon or do you have an specific place? Thank you in advance.
Very cool! Yes I get 99% of my parts from West Michigan Snowmobile Parts LLC. They are on Facebook
Thank you again. Your videos are a Big help!!
Hey, nice job! Where do you buy your Seat Covers from? I have a 1993 Wildcat 700 EFI that I want to do some work on, including the Seat Cover. Thanks in advance!
I have a friend that does them. But you can get decent one from eBay.
@@Fixin2Ride-Official- Your friend want to build me one with some color in it like yours?? That is awesome.
Shes swapped right now. But I can ask. Give me a lottle while
Have you recently purchased a seat cover? I ordered one from East Coast Reproductions, it does not fit. I even shaved down the plastic knee pad supports, just can't make it work. I'm looking at other options but there aren't many. I go to Country Cat for a lot of my parts, they don't sell factory covers any more ☹
I have not recently purchased one. Try using a hest gun on low to warm it up ans stretch it.
@@Fixin2Ride-Official- I tried everything, the manufacturer even said throw it in the dryer for five or six minutes to get the entire cover warm. Funny, they actually sent me a RUclips link to your video installing the cover 😆
Oh gotcha! Yeah then I might have to say that they made it wrong or you have the wrong seat and tank on your sled? I actually got mine from a friend that makes them. Shes busy all year though and it was by grace that I was able to get my order in so I got 2 made by her. The other will be going in a Thundercat build Im planning.
@@Fixin2Ride-Official- sounds good, thanks for the information, I normally wouldn't go to Amazon for something like this but at least I can return it easily if it doesn't work
My pleasure and yep thats the good thing about Amazon..
Who made the seat cover ?
A friend of mine.
Hi I have a 2000 articat cat ZL 600 and it has been getting louder and louder over the years and that has been making it run very badly do you think you know what could be wrong.
Deff seems like hole in the exhaust.
@@Fixin2Ride-Official- ok I’ll check that out thanks
If its something you cant see initially, it may very well be on the bottom side of the exhaust somewhere...
@@Fixin2Ride-Official- yeah I’m going to take it off see if I can find anything
@@joutdoors9181 Im thinking somewhere in the Y pipe just off of the cylinders. Or near the expansion pipe support.
Don't understand why🎉 the tank is connected to the seat. Artic Cat is Stupid. Bunch of bs. Artic Cat never made good seats.
Yeah I'm sure it was probably for less parts and bolts and holes through the tunnel.
