Emerald Isle, NC is one of my very favorite beaches. We stayed at a house called Spirit of America and our family absolutely loved it. The people were wonderful and I have super memories of great joy.
I'm curious, you said the ocean temp was 68 degrees all week. In August the average ocean temp on Emerald Isle is 82 degrees. Did you mean to maybe say 86 instead of 68?
I think that NC beaches are so modest in quality compared to Florida or California, so I expect them to be modestly priced as well so I'm surprised at how expensive stays there are. $6,854 a week can probably buy you something much better elsewhere.
Yes, I would agree that paying close to $7000 to stay a house for a week is expensive. This area is extremely popular because people don’t have to drive too far to get there and it’s more than just the beach but the whole beach town experience that draws Hundreds of thousands of folks.

@@letsgoseeit457 it's not a low ride vehicle lol. It's a lifted golf cart registered, insured and has a license plate. Legal to drive on any road in South Carolina that is 35mph or under. Asking if the same applies in NC?

Spent 2 weeks in Greece on the beach for less money, literally in the house on the beach. July - so peak season. 😄 Beautiful but not worth it given what the world has to offer.

Did u visit Atlantic beach? I’m wondering if the entire isle beaches are the same or is the water any more clear in one area vs another?
I really think it just depends on the day and weather conditions. Sometimes the water is clear and other times not.
