Idea re the circlip/Eclip, put a thin sandwich bag over the top first you'll be able to see what you're doing and if it does escape hopefully it'll stay within the polythene Got the idea from watching my retro watches pop the hands off a watch, I've spent many a happy time sweeping the floor with a torch and magnet trying to find a flying screw
I have a problem, the volume in the speakers is good, the sound is good when the radio and cassette are playing, but when you turn on the player, unpleasant sounds appear in the speakers, what is the reason?
Is it just a quick thump like sound through the speakers when you turn it on? That is normal with vintage amps, I think it's the initial spike of power going through the unit.
www.ebay.co.uk/str/malvernhillsaudio this is where I got my belts from but there store now shows no items but it might be because they are away until the 6th.
Wow excellent video of part 3 you are very very professional engineer 😀 👏 just a quick question the turntable platter belt as you shown the picture which is 635 X 10 X 0.8 but I done some research on online and the broken belt I took out of my sharp vz-3000 of the turntable platter was 5mm wide but in your picture it shows 10mm Wide? Can you please kindly let me know .. and for your information you can very easily take the front cover off to get to the bulbs 💡 ie lamps ...on the top of the cover and bottom there some clips ie behind of the cover you have to be very gentle and slowly 🐌 pull the cover out and you will see all the lamps including reverse and forward lamps...and I am thinking to change them to leds which will look nice and you have to put resistor on the leds for the record light I am going to change for RGB led so as the record is playing you can see different colours shining on the record thank you Sam😊
Thank you Sam. I am only a novice and do this as a hobby but thank you for your very kind words. The belt I put on was only 5mm, you can't get original parts now so you have to go with what you can find. In the next video I will hopefully be getting that front cover off and changing them to led strips. The schematics show that the lamps are supplied with 12 volts and I will check on what resistor value is needed to reduce the current down.
hi how are you ? I am very sorry to disturb you ..I have replaced the turntable platter belt and the opening and closing door new belt and I have changed the new relay 221d012 on the pcb when I play the record on A side its working perfectly the door opens and closes perfectly But when I select B side to play LP record the stylus cartridge drops on the LP record and then the arm it's drags across the record quickly as its drags its scratching the record ? I have swapped the stylus and still the B side is doing the same thing..kindly help me on this issue thank you Sam
Sorry for the late reply. I'm not quite sure what the problem you have is. Maybe there is an adjustment for the solenoid mechanism (is the solenoid working) that drops the arm onto the record. You will need to try and look at the schematics, I think it shows you in there.
Very complex but a impressive machine!
They don't make them like that anymore. It is a work of art
@@RetroElectronicRepair For sure!

Ah yes I've seen that done with watches, why didn't I think of that. Thank you for reminding me, it's a great idea.
My mate had one of these in 1989, i thought it was awesome
Amazing machine when it's working and sounds great
@@RetroElectronicRepair I remember my mate playing his pet shop boys albums on his . That’s how long ago it was 😂
Was already nearly vintage by 1989!
They dont make 'em like they used to! In this case I wonder why they made it at all! Impressive repair job though 🙂

Bună ziua. Va rog stiti dimensiunea celor 5 curele?
Scuze, nu stiu marimile. Am cumparat un kit de centura online.
