D.O is blowing our minds lately. I don't think he has ever flexed his vocal abilities this much. I honestly was thinking he was paving his way to acting and he would stop singing little by little. Thank god he built his own agency and he is fully dedicated to music!!!
I think he's being flexing since day 1. Afterall, he & baekhyun who incharge of high notes during exo-K era right. It just that since they merged the group, Chen took most of the high notes. But for me, flexing not just about hitting high notes. His low voice resonance is 👍

In my opinion, what distinguishes Kyungsoo as a vocalist is not only the extraordinary timbre of his voice, technical skills and great musicality, but also the ability to express the emotions and atmosphere of the song..
I cried the first time I listened to this cover. He just kept executing these challenging techniques notes after notes, phrases after phrases, while also touching our hearts with all the emotions conveyed.
I always say this but D.O is not just a cool voice he's a storyteller. He paints the message he wants to get across with his voice. He has a natural tone/timbre too that stands out. And I like that he doesn't depend on it all the time and that shows how professional he is. Like he could use it during his belts which I hear some people do but he doesn't and that's sorta cool. One thing that also stands out to me is the fact that he could sing on such quiet and low notes but somehow holds it perfectly that it doesn't fall off. I'm not a singer and when I try singing those calm songs I struggle. It's hard to put emotion into low toned lines and not lose the edge it needs to keep the song going. I respect him so much. His belts are effortless but his simple songs are gems too . He reminds me of Ed Sheeran's first album . That kind of vibe and talent.

Kyungsoo is a different breed, you know. You will always be mesmerized whenever he sings. I've been an EXO-L since 2013 but it feels like I'm still getting surprised everyday whenever he sings. It's like, gosh I have no words. I just love him, and his voice and everything about him. ♥️

He's always had top notch agility, but he's definitely gotten better through time, and he's gotten better at emoting in songs too due to his acting career.

Never heard of him until this came up on my feed because I watched Palette when BTS members were on. WOW. He is wonderful. Went off to learn more about him and listen to other songs! I'm not an expert when it comes to audio but i'll believe my ear in this one, he didn't use autotune. He is good and this is one of his best performance, I think. And I love the ability that he's able to express with his voice. I now Korean next to nothing and have almost zero romance in my life until now but his voice can make me feel many kinds of emotions.
