Fabulous show! If only I were not so average at maths, forensic science would have been my ultimate career goal. I love how this shows all these different processes

@@meredithisme3752 So, were you born in the 1800's, or before?
Frances Glessner Lee was born in Chicago on March 25, 1878, to a wealthy family, but as a divorced empty-nester, she became a pioneer in the burgeoning field of forensic science and eventually constructed a series of miniature crime scene dioramas that were used to train police officers in crime scene work.
No one stopped you, but you.

@@naelyneurkopfen9741 @meredithisme3752 Ms. Glessner Lee was also very very wealthy, and had connections to both law enforcement and the medical field thanks to her brother and some family friends. Don't get me wrong, I do believe a person can persevere against opposition without wealth and connections with successful people. However Lee's circumstances made it easier for her to do so. She was able to do the work she did because she lived on her parents' massive New Hampshire estate, had her needs tended to, and had the money and free time to put into making her "nutshell studies."
A person choosing to back down and choose an easier, more sustainable career path in the face massive opposition and gatekeeping is not equivalent to that person being the only thing stopping them. Not everyone can afford to try to break the glass ceiling, mate. And I'm certain that Ms. Glessner Lee wouldn't appreciate you using her legacy to shame women who took different paths in life.
Sincerely, a forensic science undergrad who has personally studied Ms. Glessner Lee extensively.

This is one channel that is a must to watch. It’s amazing to see just one sml piece of evidence can start a full on investigation and catch the people/s it’s just bloody brilliant. Forensics is the most fascinating part, it’s just amazing.

25:45 "Raimo Pitkänen" Damn *finally* someone who pronounces Finnish names properly that guy should get a medal, even the Ä is on point! _(Ä is pronounced like the word "rat"="rät")_ Most people don't get them even close, which often is confusing to hear. As it makes us wonder if the person truly was Finnish or not, when the Ä's and Ö's are always pronounced as A & O and rest of it is completely butchered making it sound foreign name.
