You try to block him which is where he could draw the could from, but uncle drew decides to switch mid air and does a crazy lay. Refs might as well be having fun and lick the whistle instead of blowing... Furthermore, Kai came into the league driving. I mean in Cleveland he used to drive a lot and even then, his ball switches and lay up package didn't make refs call, cz he looks like he's finishing fine without getting fouled even though he is. Lastly and I think this is the main reason. He modelled his game to that mamba mentality. You'd see him shoot more now days than drive. Another concern is his height, can he raise up to shoot on contact like Luka in the post area to try to sell an and one after a shot? Probably not. It's the height. So all these factors makes his appearance on the free throw line little.

Statmuse posted a tweet weeks ago that showed that Kyrie took the least amount of free throws for guys that average over 25 points per game. There were games in Brooklyn where it felt like their opponent would get to the line all the time. Brooklyn was always at a foul shot discrepancy against their opponents and now I'm seeing the same thing with Dallas. Since they got Kyrie it seems like their opponents get to the free throw line a lot .
