Fly fishermen, ive recently starting using these as a replacement for tippet rings on my very light setups, you can cinch these quite small around the eye pin on knippers and you end up with a very secure but easy to use connection point between leader and tippet sections, super useful for fly spoons and dry flies with big parachute wings that like to twist up your tippet as well, the rapala loop/ monoloop is great

    • @subjectcode0981

Specific knots are better for certain things. This type of knot is good for swimming lures and lures with with a lot of vibration, it will also allow slow sinking, small jigs to have a more realistic fall. Also, many knots won't work with braid, always make sure you lick the line when you tie a knot so it won't fray, and always pull TIGHT to make sure it won't slip. Happy fishing

To anyone that wants to use this knot, it is not a reliable fishing knot. In testing I have seen, the knot will fail 100% of the by coming undone when pulled hard enough. I'm not saying it won't work on your typical bass because on average it held up to 11lbs until fail using 8lb mono. Not telling anyone they shouldn't use it, but these are facts about this knot you should know before using it.
