It was so amazing to meet you, David!! Thank you for the shout-out. Next time, let's PLAN to do the same hike!!

Haha no problem, hopefully one day my shout out returns the favor equally. Let's do it, maybe one on the coast and not at 14,000 feet lol. Come on up and do Big Interior Mountain, 5040 or Cream Lake on the Island, some world-class awesome over here.

Stunning views! Love the moose and mountain goat! Found your channel via Miranda in the wild. Hiking families are the best so many wonderful people you run into on the trails. Enjoy the rest of your trip.

In 06 hiked a trail with my son and we met moose and baby..i managed to snap a picture of them as my young son scooped me so quickly threw me on his shoulder and ran for our lives.what an adventure we will never forget..however he's now 30 and he will not go hiking the mesa cortina trail with me again.😂however he does enjoy colorado so much..glad he has always ran track or it coulda been real bad..thank you so much for sharing your adventures..much love..one love..respect..

Moose can be scary, definitely, dont want to get too close. Maybe one day you'll do that hike again with him.

Super jealous of the moose encounter! Amazing footage of them i never get to watch its always a heart wrenching less than 100 feet away out of nowhere and i just stand still for a few minutes but that was amazing! Massive congrats on the first 14er! amazing content for sure earned my follow and i cant wait to see more!

It was incredible, I wanted to get closer but as soon as I popped through the bushes the 2nd moose on land wasn't having it so I had to back up.

@I'd Rather Be Hiking yeah good call I'd say that the moose in Colorado are far more dangerous than any black bear or mountain lion.

    The goats are super scruffy.

Did you know both moose and mountain goats are not native to Colorado?

You are NOT allowed to fly a drone over federally designated wilderness areas (I'm sure YOU knew that but did so anyway). You were in the Mount Evans Wilderness Area (which you show yourself walking right between a pair of wilderness signs at the 0:58 mark in your video). DO BETTER and follow the laws.
