*Thank you for sharing* .Have lost 8 during this pandemic. People need to know AHEAD of time, that we must take the good memories, and pass on all of the smiles from them. That's how I keep my peace. God never leaves our sides. Believe that! *Many blessings* to you and your family.

Thank you for this, Nicole and TJ! It was a really great talk about grief! Nicole, you’re a wonderful host, you do a really good job as a host! And your voice is so soothing and you have such a calm, sweet presence that makes one feels like it would be really easy to talk to you and feel comfortable. ❤️ It’s been really healing to talk about grief so openly with people who have gone through the same! ❤️ My dad died of cancer nearly two decades ago and back then, about a year later, the family living next door lost their father to a brain tumor, also leaving a daughter about my age behind and me and her used to sit and talk about how it is not having a dad anymore and what it’s like to see and know others still can talk to their dads and hang out with them...it helped to have someone next door who knew EXACTLY what you’re going through and had just experienced the same you did. Not just the loss from death but also dealing with finding out your dad has cancer..needing to learn to live with it, the constant fear of losing them and the roller coaster of them getting better, relapsing, getting better, relapsing...and finally hearing there’s nothing they can do to heal and your dad WILL die. 😢 The rollercoaster between hope and grief and all the emotions involved...Talking about it all woth someone who understands because they’ve been there is so important. A friend of mine who has a degree in psychology (but works for the police), volunteers for an organization on her free time to help kids whose parents got divorced and kids who lost a parent so that the kids can talk about it and meet other kids who are going through the same as them, and I have always really looked up to her for giving so much of her time to help kids heal. It is such an important job and communities like these ones you and TJ have are so important and you’re doing a wonderful job at helping others! ❤️ So thank you SO MUCH once again, Nicole and TJ, for everything you do! 🙏🏻❤️ It is SO appreciated!!! 🙏🏻❤️ Lots of love and may God bless you!! 🙏🏻❤️

Thank you thank you. I've been always been told "Grief has NO timetable." I've been going through this grief journey for a long time. Lost my Dad (health declining over time from multiple health issues), 2 of my Aunts (it was their time) and my sister (lung cancer - smoker) within 3 years. Please please don't beat yourself up for not visiting the final resting site of your loved one. It is all on an individual basis. Always know that your loved one's spirit is in your heart. And I do understand losing someone by the hands of someone else. That type of pain is indescribable. In fact, like TJ's Mom, my godmother drowned in her pool back in 1989. And she did not swim. Just a fishy situation. Over time you learn to work with your grief but sometimes you can have triggers that remind you of how your loved one died. The best advice I can give on that is to remove yourself from situations that may trigger a reaction. Thank you, J. Nicole, for such a wonderful talk with TJ. My prayers of serenity for both of you and for anyone who comes upon your podcast. xox

TJ, thank you so much for sharing. I know that was probably uncomfortable for you, but for me it was very helpful. And you are correct, some people do get tired of your grief and want you to get over it. I look at it that you never get over it, you just learn to live with it. I personally don't like the word "closure" because it sounds like you are closing the door on that person and the love you have for them. So thank you again and I wish you love and peace.

This is a testament of their Father's dedication & love to them and also to the beautiful way in which he continued their Mother's legacy. Truly, TJ walks the walk. #DDJF is the most progressive org. focused on all types of grief & loss. I came across DDJF randomly after losing so many Family & Friends .. It was a lifesaver.
