Good to learn about Van's channel. The food and the beach and mountains in Da Nang look fantastic.
You are correct about westerners eating too much food. I am guilty of that myself. When I visit Vietnam, I eat a lot less, a Bahn mi for breakfast, a pho Bo or Banh Xeo for lunch and a noodle dish with meat for dinner. My diabetes is much less of a problem with much less and fresh healthy foods. My wife and I love Danang but we are trying out Nha Trang next time. Back to Hanoi as well. We love the old quarter there.

Guys, how difficult is being Coeliac in Da Nang? Or Vietnam in general. I'd love to visit, but terrified of gluten being in foods. Sounds trite, but it makes me seriously ill.
I've been in Da Nang for 2 weeks now and still haven't found a good bowl of pho yet 😢 but I will check out Mi Quang Dung, looks like it's walking distance for me.
And in Vietnam have a funny proverb “ chán cơm thèm phở” . I don't wanna translate because all most vietnamese know what does it mean. but to be honest i like the name "what the pho " because i love noodle and my favorite food is pho ! 😍

We tried the My Quang Tho , My Quang and Nem Lui pork at Da Nang...to be frank , they are rather " acquired taste"....
Not sure maybe we went to wrong place..
The only local food we can truly eat without any reservation is Cau Lau... its like a vietnamese rendition of Dry Udon with sliced Pork loin which we had at Hoi An.
We decided to stick with " The Regulars" such as Banh Xeo, Goi Cuon, Bun Cha Gio or Pho and Com Ga

I wanted to ask if you could run us through on the process of moving to another country. - How and what visa should I apply for long term, how long i can stay, and the process on starting naturalization as a US citizen. Maybe some tip on things we should avoid and things we should do.
