I loved Elise’s performance of this classic duet. She is a much underrated American Idol contestant and deserves more success. Phillip’s interpretation of this song is all wrong. The song is supposed to be about a couple in a difficult and complicated relationship. She is trying to dump him and he’s trying to implore her that she still needs him and that he will look after her. Phillip’s cocky demeanour isn’t what the song is about. And that final harmony is just, off.
I have loved this performance since I saw the original performance. They should do an album together.❤
I dont know what happened with the judges, Elise is a great singer and her voice is just amazing, she was eliminated too early
His expressions and body language are so fun to watch. The voices are amazing. This version of this song is by far my favorit.
