2022 MOTL HaTikvah: Lt. Col. Shai Abramson, the Chief Cantor of the IDF

The National Anthem of Israel, Hatikva, the hope and future of the Jewish people, will be sung to conclude the ceremony. In recent months, dozens of young immigrants who escaped the war in Ukraine have arrived at The Jewish Agency's Carmiel Absorption Center in a special program called "Immigrants Forward" for those aged 17-25 who were rescued from the inferno, as well as those participating in The Jewish Agency's Selah program, comprised of young immigrants from the FSU who made Aliyah without their parents. The young immigrants will come together to sing "Hatikvah," the anthem of the State of Israel, their new home, as they hope for the safety of their family and friends who are still in the battle zones.
