IDK how but for some reason, I skipped DEVILS REJECTS. This would’ve been right behind Halloween 2! I’m sorry guys 😅 it’s been a HELL of day as well as the last few. My mind is all over the place.
It amazes me how many people hated H2 when it came out and it’s grown on them over the years. The directors cut is really good and I love that hospital dream scene 🤙
Great video!!! 1. House Of 1,000 Corpses 2. Halloween II 3. Halloween 4. The Lords Of Salem 5. The Devil's Rejects 6. The Munsters 7. 3 From Hell 8. 31
As you know I'm not really a fan of Rob Zombie's movies BUT overall I think his worst film is 31... It's the only one I've never been able to finish. House of 1000 Corpses is by far his best looking movie I'll agree with that boz! Fun video!
31 isn't bad as much as it is missing something. It's just a battle royale with no substance they should have focused on Brake's character instead of him just being a "scary villain" plus they should have explained what MacDowell's deal was instead of just being a talking head
I absolutely loved Devils Rejects and I liked Halloween but all of the others have been either ok or bad imo. I haven’t seen The Munsters and I don’t really plan to
For me my ranking is as follows 1. The Devils Rejects 2. The Lord's of Salem 3. House of 1000 Corpses 4. Halloween 5. 3 From Hell 6. Halloween 2 7. 31 8. The Munsters I still adore Rob Zombie his films are stylish and memorable
1. Halloween II - misunderstood gem 2. Halloween - awesome 3. The Lords of Salem - the last 15 minutes are a bit of a mess but I really like this one 4. House of 1000 Corpses - love the first half. Needed more Spaulding. 5. The Munsters - cute but ehh 6. The Devil's Rejects - never been a fan, but I love Wydell. 7. 3 from Hell - mostly trash 8. 31 - again mostly trash
House of 1000 is the best, top 5 slasher for me. Even the dvd looks like a Blu-ray , shot so well. This is perfect timing tho I watched the full moon podcast with rob earlier today, the part where rob talks about telling bob weinstiens assist he was gonna kill him at a h2 screening, and bob calling him and loving it 🤣🤣🤣🤣
My ranking of all the films I've seen from my favorite to my least favorite Is 1. The Devils Rejects (Amazing film) 2. Halloween 2 (Amazing film) 3. Halloween (Amazing film) 4. House of 1000 Corpses (Good film) 5. 3 From Hell (Solid film but very unnecessary) 6. Lords of Salem (Seen this film once and didn't really care for It) I still have to watch 31 and The Munsters.
I'm with you on this list man only 31 wood be higher on the list tho voor me. Just one question wij do i never see el superbeasto on anyone's rob zombie movie list ?
I use to like Devil's rejects more then House, but in 2019 I watched them as a double bill and I hadnt seen House of a 1000 corpses for a while and honestly I prefer House of 1000 corpses more then The devil's rejects. So I've seen House of 1000 corpses, The devil's rejects, 3 from hell, and his Halloween movie. I watched his Halloween remake in the theaters with my mom. Went to the gym afterwards and the entire time I was replaying the movie in my mind and had the same conclusion I had after immediately walking out of the theater...it was a let down, but it wasn't terrible. I've only watched it twice, both cuts. My mom really liked Zombie's remake and she would always talked about the brutal kills "you could feel it." I remember my mom in the theater when a kill scene would happen. Her reaction would be "Ooooooooo" and kind of jumping out of her seat like "Man, that hurts." Which is how I reacted as well. I was excited about his film 31, but decided not to watch it due to all the bad reviews ie the shaky cam. Over all I'd say my favorite Rob Zombie films are 1.House of 1000 corpses. 2.Devil's rejects. 3.3 from hell. I was kind of worried about 3 from hell. I kept dreading it "I hope it's good. I hope I like it." and it was really good. One of the things I like about it is the fact that it's kind of their last rodeo and it's all within a new decade. They are much much older. They are in Mexico. Spaulding is dead. To me it feels like a natural progression. A slight rehash of Devil's rejects, but not too much. Basically 3 from hell has that feeling of Dexter season 9 for me. Season 1-8, those were Dexter's killing days. The "golden years" for Dexter. As Dexter says in one episode when listening to a podcast about his activities as the Bay Harbor butcher. Podcast: Dismembered his victims. Bagged the bloody bits into hefties and tossed em in the bay. Dozens of bodies strewn across the ocean floor. Dexter: Aw, the good old days. Dexter is in a new environment, he's older, he hasn't killed in two decades and for me 3 from hell definitely has that feel to me. and of course "Those days are over." and I like that. Also love when Otis tells the warden "Remember what you told me? "this is my death factory and YOU are the product." well....THIS IS MY DEATH FACTORY and YOU are the product." Great scene and dialog. I also love the scene with Otis in the car with the "Rat" and the 'rat" pleads for his life telling him he'll share the money he got for turning them in and Otis just sits there looking at him. like "your not getting out of this." So I was glad I enjoyed 3 from hell and I've rewatched it a second time since and plan to again. I like it enough to watch it as often as I watch the first two. Watched your commentary on the New line era of the Friday the 13th series. 100% agree on pretty much everything. I've never seen Jason goes to hell other then individual scenes. Once saw it on HBO and changed the channel. Jason X, watched it and always liked it. Freddy vs Jason. I was about 14 at the time and I remember being super hyped. "Can't wait for Seed of Chucky!" "Can't wait for Freddy vs Jason" and each time being disappointed. At the time, because I was watching all of these movies on VHS at home and in my grandfather's basement on a regular basis and to me I was confused and going "What is going on?! These movies aren't like the original movies. Child's play 1, 2, and 3 aren't like Seed of Chucky." "Halloween isn't like Resurrection." "Freddy vs Jason isn't like all the other movies in that franchise." as I've said again and again and again....the 2000's sucked. Horror sucked in the 2000's and I remember thinking that and realizing that AT THE TIME and feeling depressed about it to be honest and going "What the hell is going on? Why do all these movies suck now?!" I did watch the remake in theaters with my mom. I remember liking the opening, the sleeping bag on fire scene, the guy going into the woods to look for the crop, etc. I really liked that....and then the film went down hill. I remember the screwdriver being a good kill as well. But the characters were bland and boring. I remember being bored. I didn't like the new Jason. Looked and felt too mainstream. Too hollywood, etc. Freddy vs Jason I will always put on the BOTTOM OF THE BARREL of both lists. I hate HATE Freddy vs Jason. Hate that movie. The acting is cringe to the point where I physically can't watch it without cringing and going "OW! OW! Please, please stop! That hurts!" It's that bad. Robert England is great in it as he always is, but he only kills one person and that kill is also incredibly dull and boring. It doesn't compare at all to all his previous kills. Any one of them. I like the shadow Freddy, I like Robert England's acting as Freddy...I like the bed crush kill....and the rest of the movie is irredeemable trash. Total garbage and I've thought this for years "FvsJ...came out at the wrong time." It should of come out in the 80's or 90's and it depresses me that we will never get a remake of Freddy vs Jason everyone saying "The original FvsJ sucked. It was horrible and we are gonna CORRECT that mistake and give you a GOOD FvsJ movie. This movie is gonna be FOR THE FANS." Personally if I was gonna do it I would deepfake Robert England and make England and Kane Hodder into acting coaches for the actors playing the characters. So we got the original Freddy ie Robert England even if he is deepfaked, and we got a Kane Hodder acting clone who will move and act like Kane Hodder and just go from there. "oh they are too old for a remake." Then make them coaches and deepfake. So ya, I want a Freddy vs Jason remake. Maybe I should watch 31, considering it's high on your list and you called it "junk food"...but people have said that about Pieces too and I don't like Pieces.
I'm assuming you either forgot about the haunted world of el superbeasto or your not counting it because it's a animated movie. I haven't watched 3 from hell or muntsters because of it's negative reception and them being apart of the worst of their year on people list so I'm leaving them off. But who knows maybe I'll enjoy them like I did 31 which was critically panned. I'll eventually get to them like i just barley got to watching the lamb & light house this year. 7. The haunted world of el superbeasto: I only saw this once like the year it got released i didn't really enjoy it maybe I'll watch again. 6. 31: not his best but I enjoyed it and it feels very 70's\80's grindhouse exploitation cinema inspired. 5. Halloween 2: I enjoy this movie and I don't hate it like most people do but their are some things I don't like about it like his film editing choices. 4.Halloween: the editing on this one is a bit better and I just in general liked his take on the original. 3.house of 1000 corpses 2. Lords of Salem 1. Devil's rejects.
The munsters to be is ranked higher then 31 and 3 from hell Herman just makes the movie for me. I would even say to me only it is better the halloween 2 those horse interpretation of the film just does not do it for me.
1. The Devil's Rejects - best 2. House of 1000 Corpses - amazing 3. The Munsters - great and not that bad 4. 31 - okay 5. Halloween II - garbage and stupid 6. Halloween - garbage 7. The Haunted World of El Superbeasto - weird and garbage 8. The Lord of Salem - garbage 9. 3 from hell - garbage
Christian, because of your enthusiasm of Rob Zombie, and more specifically his Halloween movies, I revisited both and came away a changed man. Halloween 2 went from legitimately my least favorite movie of all time to top 2 or 3 in Rob's filmography!
Am I crazy, or did you leave Devil’s Rejects off the ranking? You talked about it briefly while you were talking about House, but I don’t remember you actually ranking it🤔
hahaha lol nice job rob zombie gets so much flack it is undeserved like rob chh you do you and remember 2023 big me big things my boy rock and just be thank you 🐋🐅🐆🦄🦩

I was wondering where that one was! Agree about Lords of Salem! Might actually be my top Rob Zombie movie.
Yea I was wondering why you didn't list it I thought I missed it.
its all good man I guess i'm not the only one having a rough week. Hope your week ends on a good note
Can’t argue with that. Gotta say that’ll be my 1&2.
It amazes me how many people hated H2 when it came out and it’s grown on them over the years. The directors cut is really good and I love that hospital dream scene 🤙
