Toosh is a comedian. He's sarcastic as hell. And quite honestly he was born in the wrong generation. He would have been fine in the 1980s, 1990s, early 2000s to 2010 at his current age.
It's not a race issue. Its a people issue. The current generation thinks too much with emotions rather than logic. A joke is a joke and with intelligence you can tell when its a joke and when its meant to do mental harm. Ive been to countless POC comedian shows over the years. Countless. What toosh said was nothing. Not even close.
If there are things that only certains groups can joke about them, then not even they should be able to joke about it if its that much of an issue. Its either everything is on the table or nothing at all. In my experience, usually the ones complaining are actually racist. Like legit racist. Not the other individual. Not always, but usually.
I come from 2 oppressed POC backgrounds. I had actual relatives in internment camps, that got forced off their land for "government" and "god", that had friends murdered over their color. Biggest mistake the community made was getting bent out of shape over this. Not having Daltoosh involved in an official capacity really took away a lot of potential for the game and players in pro and casual scene in general.
It's not getting bent out of shape for choosing to not support someone that perpetuated harmful and racist stereotypes. He knows it himself.

I'm just gonna go ahead and say what's on peoples minds but don't wanna say.
If you got offended by his comment (because it was never anything else, much LESS a racist comment) you need to recalibrate your sensitivity level. Here's the deal: Since I ALREADY know you're NOT going to make yourself LESS sensitive, because you're sensitive by nature and you're NOT gonna change, how about you ACCEPT that someone like Daltoosh is just someone that likes to joke around and that's just his personality. Started watching toosh when he was at about 200 viewers in early apex 2019. It's hard to see someone have a opinion I strongly disagree with that I actually like. He made several moments I'll temember forever . Those early day streams were LIT. you'll never know what you missed if u weren't there. Solid video. I do hope the best for toosh Tho. Always.😊

Saying a word that is commonly used within the black community is not racist when another race says it. Thats asinine. Toosh is also 100% right about not having anything to do with history over 100 years ago. Slavery ended roughly 170 years ago. The civil rights act was adopted in 1964. That was less than 60 years ago.. We have come A VERY LONG WAY. I was born in 1983 and never once looked at a black kid in school and thought differently of them, which was only 19 years after the civil rights was implemented. When im out and about i never look at black people differently. Everyone is cordial to one another. The media are the people who stoke division in this country. Of course racism exists, but its a very small part of the population. Again, in less than 175 years (which isnt long at all) black folks went from slavery to being one with the population. There is also no joke that is off limits, none!

Imagine, living in a world where some people with the correct genetics and correct amount of melanin can sing songs that you can’t. And they can’t be racist against you. Because it’s allowed. But if you question the status quo, then that makes you racist so you shouldn’t even question it. And it sounds like it is environment against freedom of expression for a certain color. And in that world it’s completely OK to be against a certain color of peoples skin, because society deems it so. That’s what it was like when we had slavery in the US and it is 100% a good thing that we abolished slavery and work to correct inequalities. And now imagine a world where humans keep repeating the mistakes of our history. Every 20 years or so a new generation rises up. Imagine a beginning where life is hard for a battle hardened generation. That battle hardened generation is very good to their kids creating soft men. Those soft men make smart children. Those smart children make bad wars. And then those bad wars make hard men. In the cycle repeats. I explained it pretty poorly, but it’s called “Strauss-Howe generational theory”.
