  • We spend so much time preserving food and stocking up. But what happens when we run out of our stash? Do you know how to raise food? Can you preserve it? Today we’ll tour my garden as I plant our latest vegetables. Then we’ll head to the kitchen to show you step by step how to vacuum seal. Remember, you can’t do everything at once. But you can just do SOMETHING!

I planted my garden today! Yesterday I filled my raised beds with compost, today I put almost all the seeds in and watered. I have woodchips and cardboard under that in the walkways so hopefully weeds will not be a big issue.

Loved the video! I've got to give the cattle panel a try! I asked for goats for my birthday 😂 I guess I need to ask for that next year. That's not many losses, the garden is looking great!

Thanks! I like a neat organized garden. Not so easy to accomplish. Cattle panels are great. The only downside is bringing them home. They are soooo bulky!!!

I do too! I can’t wait for next week when school ends. I can whip my garden into shape and spend time with my animals.

A few questions: 1. How long are the cattle panels thee used for the arches? 2. How wide are the "tunnels" under the arched panels? (I have two rows of raised beds and thinking of putting cattle panel arches between them) 3. I'm assuming the fabric on the ground is water permeable? Is it very expensive?

Good Morning. The cattle panels are 16 feet long. I put the base about 5 feet apart. You just want to easily walk under it but also be able to reach the top.
Definitely water permeable. I bought it off Amazon. It was $20. It’s called garden mesh netting. Thanks for watching!
