    Thankyou for the heads up.
    I blindly bought several box kits today.
    I heard about them on RUclips and fell in love.
    Tfs & take care 🦉🎨

      That's how I got started too! I saw one video on RUclips and was like "I HAVE to do that!" and here we are many projects later :)

    I use a needle point bottle for gluing , so much thinner layer of glue

    You can purchase a few cutting mats from the Dollar Store, tape them together with masking tape (turn them over so that the masking tape is underneath) and voilá, a much cheaper cutting board and as large as you wish.

    Wax paper is great to lay down when gluing, it won't stick to projects, easy to remove stuff that's laying there to dry.

    Hi! Just found your channel yesterday. How do you keep your brushes soft without the glue hardening?I use the same clue and would love to try the brushes on my next kit. I told my daughter about your channel, I gave her the garden tea room today for her birthday. She is excited to watch you videos. Thank you for posting all the details, I wish I found you sooner

    Thank you for this! I have just found a miniature that I fell in love with, but I’m very methodical so I have printed some freebie projects to practice on and I realized straightaway that I will end better scissors, and....and... but it was hard to find someone doing this exact craftwork to see what type of art goodies they love the most. I’ll pop back in with completed projects!

      If you have problem finding small pointed scissors .....try using embroidery scissors ...u can buy them on ebay or aliexpress , relatively inexpensive a few dollars ....they have fine points on them ...or buy a good quality manicure scissors which can be a bit more pricey

    I also keep emery boards or nail files. They are much easier to use in sanding tiny spaces.

    Other thing that helps is labeling the pieces with pencil so you don't accidentally glue the wrong pieces together. I have a bone folder and hadn't thought of using it. Great tips!

    Hi, Michelle! I feel kind of like I know you after the Paris cafe videos! I’m doing my craft work at my job for now, when I’m able to have a break, so I bought a rolling train case to hold my tools as well as the pieces of the current house. And I wanted to tell you I found a set of precision screwdrivers that are magnetic! Yay! My cats make it impossible for me to play much at home. Love seeing your tools, and can’t wait to see what you do next!

      You can do crafts at work? I'm so jealous! And yeah, I'm glad my cat understands that she's not allowed on my kitchen island. She could really wreak havoc on my projects if she wanted to.

      I have purchased a set of needle pointed tweezers of different types....they are much better ..... the tweezers included in the kit was useless same with the scissors included in the kit ....so i used embroidery scissors with fine points ...they are inexpensive on ebay ...i used a small hand drill or pin vise to drill small holes .... and used emory board .that i cut into a small point to sand in small areas

      I bought a nice big black rolling tool box at walmart it has wheels and a handle that pops up....so its easier to travel plus i have s small carry on type with a handle on the lid .....

    I use the kitchen counter, the pool table n a fold out table lol

    • @MichelleInMinneapolis
      @MichelleInMinneapolis  3 года назад

      Oh, I never thought of a pool table! That would be even bigger than my kitchen island. As long as you don't get glue on the felt.

    • @tinataylor4203
      @tinataylor4203 3 года назад +1

      Definitely don’t work on the pool table I just spread my templates n pieces out on it. And I covered it with a blanket. My honey an I don’t use it much anymore so it’s getting used now. I asked my honey if I could build a whole town on it. To get him in on it I asked if he wanted to build a train that goes around the houses. That would be cute. To me anyway. Happy building hun

    Thanks for the video! Just bought that glue last week to try, as none of the kinds I’ve tried worked well for me. Do you wait for the glue to become tacky at all, or how do you best use it for things that use the beads? I always have a hard time with beads in the kits.
    I could also use some brushes, fabric scissors, bone folder, and a fresh exactions knife!

    • @MichelleInMinneapolis
      @MichelleInMinneapolis  2 года назад

      No, I don't really wait for the glue to do much unless I'm working something really complicated that might fall apart if the next piece goes on. Then I'll wait for it to dry. But usually I put some glue on and stick the two things together and they hold well enough (while staying adjustable for a few minutes). If I'm doing beads, there's usually only one or two of them and I just put a little dab/glob of glue and it holds. Sometimes it sticks to the tweezers too but I just pick it off and continue on.

    I have a quick question about glue….I was looking at other videos and some ppl have a million glued that do different things for just one little kit…will the beacon be enough to do it all or do I need others?

    • @MichelleInMinneapolis
      @MichelleInMinneapolis  Год назад +1

      I've bought a few kits that came with glue and used that, but other than the Beacon's 3 in 1, I've never bothered to use different glues. I guess I think I'm not doing anything that complicated so why bother? I think if you were doing a lot of paper or fabric crafts that would wrinkle, a glue specifically for those materials would be a good idea but for me, it's always worked fine.

      @@MichelleInMinneapolis No, only once and an a while. I try to send you a copy of the newsletter. It has changed. we have some people who do it all. They display these kits. I do it all. And we are supposed to be a teaching guild. They have been talking about working with the railroad club.
