This was my first board and I’ve ridden it for a couple seasons now. It’s impressively lightweight, has really good forgiving flex, and feels plenty stable at speed. It was listed as all mountain but after riding more serious all mountain boards I can tell it’s much more forgiving and easier to manipulate.
I think I got lucky picking this one out for my first board. I am noticing I have pretty bad stability when trying to land jumps, however that’s probably just because I’m bad 😂
Just set up my merc in the 2022 colourway. Looks so sweet with the now bindings, can't wait to give it a shred
This one found its way on my list for my first board purchase.
How did you like it? I just ordered the 2021 version.
@@godseys_plan I had a blast on it.
For my riding level I think it suited me just fine! Happy shreddin
@@godseys_plan I have a 2019 and love it. I'm definitely a beginner but it works well
Just picked this up. I'm stocked to shred some snow this season
Hello my friend.
I'm an intermediate snowboarder (I know how to do all the turns with both feet and still progressing in carving) I intend to use the snowboard to play on the piste (I like speed, but also play with small jumps, foot changes and small tricks). If there is a good amount of snow I like to go off piste sporadically.
What do you recommend?
Nidecker Merc, Nidecker Play, Rome Warden, Nitro Cinema , Amplid ticket, K2 Raygun, K2 Raygun pop
I am open to hear any other suggestions from you.
Hi Angry, I am doubting between buying the Nidecker Merc and Nidecker Escape. I started boarding last year and really like it, just doing all kind of things on the mountain. As I'm still learning and progressing, I initially wanted to go with the Merc, but I thought that the Escape might have better edge hold and go faster. Do you have a suggestion/advice? Thanks a lot in advance!
Nidecker score.
@@AngrySnowboarder Thanks a bunch! Why would you recommend the score over the other ones (especially over the Merc since I feel that is closer to the Score)? Hope to hear from you again!
I got this board like a month ago thanks for the review
Great videos buddy, I'm looking at the neidecker Merc and the Head daymaker for intermediate all Mountain riding. Im little bit more on the Freeride side of things but I do hit the park from time to time though I only get about 20 days a season on the mountain and I'm on a tight budget but I seemed to narrow it down between those 2 boards what do you recommend? Or do you recommend a different board I've been riding a 5150 Vice for year's and I'm trying to upgrade.
Don't really know anything about the Daymaker. So go with the Merc I guess.
Thanks man
I'm a surfer from FL that visits CO 2-3 times a year to go on snowboarding trips. I would considerate myself on the lower side of an intermediate. I want something that I can progress on quick and have maximum fun. You recommend the Nidecker Merc or Flow Merc? or a different board?
Either of those will work fine.
Hey thanks for your review!
I hope you answer: I am a beginner / intermediate beginner and I want to buy my first board, I'm 167cm 53kg or 5.5ft 117lbs (so really small and light for a man), I just want to ride on goomer for getting better skills (later goal of good carving) and cross between them and get a little powder under the board, but I don't want to go to the park. Would you advise me to go for the 149 Merc or the 147 Salomon Sight or a completely different one?
Can't really go wrong with either.
Hello Mr. Angry Snowboarder,
I hope you can help me decide on my board purchase. I have 3 boards in mind:
Merc
Sensor
Sensor Plus
I can do skidded turns no problem.
Edge to edge / carving is okay-ish when i'm not too lazy :p
I want to get better at carving longterm, ride allmountain "chill" mainly, prolly not go to the park at all.
Cheers!
Merc.
@@AngrySnowboarder thank you!
Or the new Escape even?
Nidecker sizing chart says the 159 would work for riders up to 187 lbs. I'm 205. This one just wont work for me or is their sizing chart off?
You'll be fine.
@@AngrySnowboarder ok, ordered it from Evo, hope youre right. On sale for $223. You said it could carve- can I wear hard boots and a spandex body suit?
so i'm about 5'11-6'0 about 130lbs, and i'm still maybe intermediate skill at most. Any recommendations that are cost friendly for a new snowboarder? I tend to be quite aggressive with my boarding
Find a last years on sale.
Thanks that really helped
Which would you rather recomend for a beginner ,the Nidecker Merc or score ?
Never ever get the Score, looking to progress as a beginner that knows how to do skidded turns Merc.
@@AngrySnowboarder Thanks for the quick answer.
For an intermediate rider, Merc or score?
Merc.
Cheers man
Merc vs Score
Score is more entry level and something you start with then outgrow where as the Merc is something you get and progressive with over time.
this or salomon sight for the beginner progressing rider? would you put it as a top option for that user case? (2023 one)
Take your pick.
