Mick Taylor is as good as ANYONE at this stage of his career! Clapton, Green, Beck, Hendrix - the lot. What a beautiful vibrato and 'natural' tone. Magnificent.
@@classicrockarchives7077 He's not 'miles' above them as a 'straight' blues player. He exceeded them in terms of his versatility - with the possible exception of Jeff Beck that is. I saw Clapton, Green, Taylor, and Beck live in the 1960's when they were all at their best, and in my view the Cream -era Clapton was the most exciting guitarist on the planet from '66-'68. Were you around then?
Claro que Hendrix era...ES MUY BUENO!!! Porque es el mejor y los demás ' aprendices'?. Porque murió!!!???. Sabemos que ' la Muerte vende mucho', en la música..m@@classicrockarchives7077

For years I mistakenly thought Gimme Shelter and Heartbreaker were from Brussels since they appeared on the Bedspring Symphony boot that I had thought was the afternoon show in Brussels. Just recently, it was brought to my attention to those two stellar performances were actually from Wembley. Damn! Is there a complete show out there? What's the name of those private pressings?
Just got these tracks on vinyl on the “Keith Richard and his Rolling Stones” boot. Aptly named if you ask me, MT is the cherry on top but Keith runs things here
Indeed, kudos to all your comments. How...why...did the Stones let him go? One of the greatest mysteries of rock & roll...& THE greatest that doesn't involve death...what would Hendrix, Morrison, Joplin, Jones, Moon, Bonham, Vaughn, etc..what would they be doing now? What would the Stones have done with MT for even a few more years? Alas....
Best live version of gimme shelter ever heard!
The other monster gimme shelter version is Washington 1972
A celestial performance by Mick Taylor in Doo doo doo doo doo and the band reaches stratosphere , when brings an Blaxpoitation movie in front of you

Hendrix is miles above them all together. Don`t put Jimi in with these players. Learn

Mick T and Bobby Keys add a dimension to the Stones in those days that still holds up
Los STONES, lo máximo.
I was there, great gig ...and at an unbelievable price.
Me too. Who would've thought all these years later….? But you had to be there (always wanted to say that)
Gold times that never get back

They were the best before this gig , during the gig, and after the gig - even now.
Stones peaked on the '73 Tour, firing on all 12 cylinders, but also like the rough edges of the '72 American Tour.
Great sound, man! Awesome
Mick Taylor forever!!!!!
Greatly missing Charlie Watts.
Bloody Hell great!
Mick Taylor at his best, according to Jack Bruce, this was not always the case night to night... Best version of Heartbreaker ever, Mick is cooking !!

He quit
Supposedly the life style, Taylor used to got back to his wife instead of going to the after concert parties.
Hear hear
Listen to Gimme shelter live in washington 1972. Killer version as well.
Taylor Top !
is the whole show available? this is insanely cool
I have a copy of it on my drive and it’s a pretty sub-par audience recording. Not sure if it’s worth sharing.
This is great - but not Wembley'73 these are the famous Brussel Concert - you find the whole concert on "Goats Head Soap - Deluxe Edition".
