    COMMEMORATING
    ONE HUNDRED YEARS
    OF SLIGH FURNITURE
In 1880, in a small plant in the heart
of Grand Rapids, the Sligh Furniture
Company began, founding a heritage of
    matchless craftsmanship, attention to
detail, and dedication to preserving the
    finest traditions in furniture-making.
Today in a fitting tribute to its parent
company, Trend Clocks has created an
    outstanding timepiece commemorating
    Sligh's first century of
    furniture and clock
    manufacturing.
    Sligh began with magnificently grained
mahogany, prized for centuries as the aristocrat of
cabinet woods. From it is crafted a case of stately
proportion, with gracious reeded corner columns,
classic carved-leaf bracket feet, and a traditional
dentil molding separating the bonnet from the lower
case. Strikingly figured crotch mahogany, carefully
hand-selected and matched, accentuates the doors
and sides and is repeated in the clock's flawless
marquetry. In the old-world technique of inlaying
wood veneers into intricate designs, both pediment
and base feature fields of crotch mahogany
bordered by graceful inlaid white maple, surrounded
by rich mottled mahogany. The intricate marquetry
design of the oval ornament at the center of the
pediment, which repeats in the corner ornaments on
the pediment and base, is crafted from shaded
wedges of white maple defined by a dark ebony
band. From this striking motif, the regal hood rises
in a high arch to hand-carved rosettes, and stately
carved finials with incised flutes reach to the clock's
crest. Providing subtle contrast to the clock's deep
lustrous finish, hardware is hand-cast in solid
    polished brass
The Trend 100 Centennial Clock borrows the
finest from the Black Forest, an Urgos cable-wound
nine-tube triple chime movement combining modern
accuracy with the rhythms and sounds beloved for
centuries. Beveled glass, set into the doors and sides
using the techniques of a hundred years ago, reveals
a huge, intricately-etched solid brass lyre pendulum,
suspended from a plaque bearing the Sligh 100-year
insignia. Created by a manufacturer of fine musical
instruments, the lustrous polished chime tubes are
individually tuned to resound with the harmony of
the hours. A magnificant dial, custom-crafted for this
anniversary edition, features solid hand-cast brass
center and corner spandrels molded exclusively for
Sligh in the mode of the clock's Old English
heritage, with solid brass Roman numerals, etched
time ring, and Sligh centennial emblem. Also
created solely for the Trend Centennial Clock are
two door keys fashioned from hand-cast brass in the
design of the 100-year symbol. Etched scenes of
Holland, Michigan today and Grand Rapids in the
1880's are illustrated on the revolving moon dial,
    highlighting this truly unique commemorative
    edition.

Beautiful Grandfather Clock I have a howard miller 610-311 grandfather clock its a triple chime and its expensive I cannot get it cause its way to expensive and it gives you the chance for the clock to be run as you swing if it stops right on the bottom on the pendulum twist the nut to the right to tick faster turn the left to go slower so that it will run if you fix the problem if it keeps stopping and I glad your back
