Those rumble strips saved my life. Riding the bike towing my trailer I fell asleep coming back from Sturgis. Was in western PA on I-80 at 5am. Scared the shit out of me and woke me right the fuck up.
I used to hit my horns for texters but it got to the point where My arm got tired. Hate those lane closures where nothing's being done. Kenny sounds great.
Great video Jeff always enjoy watching you move your equipment back home after the job is done. Every bin turned in for playing roller bin bingo Jeff! Thanks for sharing stay safe Jeff.
Thank You Sir for the video.another uneventful trip.glad your home.the warm inside tires maybe if the traffic has worn groves in the pavement the insides carry alittle more of the weight.others maybe head wind or tail wind.take a heat gun sometime and experiment sometime.when you get petey out of er he will be as good as new.even Mr.Griffey approved.
👍👍👍👍 Thanks for Sharing! You have moving those machines down to a well oiled routine. Can you explain too me one more time why the strobes aren't in sync? Lights flicker on camera when the frequency at which the light source is turning on and off (usually related to the electrical supply) doesn't match the frame rate of the camera, causing a mismatch between the light's cycle and the camera's image capture, resulting in visible flickering on the video Tom
Rumble strips should be further to the edge of the road and should be very intermittent. Otherwise they just tear up tires. A solid stretch of rumble straps is stupid. A reflector or dot ever so often would be fine for sleepers.
Around 07:00 I turn my CB off for the rest of the day because of the skip shooters with their out of tune or not aligned CB bleeding into the other channels , it’s fairly quiet between 03:00 and 07:00 especially on Ch-19 and I just use the VHF radio to call someone or if someone needs to call me.
Hi Jeff, while you were doing this trip back in December, my son and I were driving from Melbourne, Victoria to Innisfail, Queensland in a rented two axle box truck filled with the School Orchestra equipment for their Big Tour down the East Coast of Australia. I can assure you that the Newell Highway in Australia is nowhere near as nice as your Interstate system. In fact the road is a disgrace, and not fit for the amount of Interstate traffic that it handles. The route was Melbourne to Deniliquin. Deniliquin to Parkes where the Radio Telescope (The Dish) is located. It delivered the TV pictures from the Moon Landing. Parkes to Lightning Ridge, home to Black Opals. Lightning Ridge to Roma, Qld home to largest saleyards in Australia. A day off to rest in Roma, then Roma to Emerald. Emerald to Townsville. Leaving Emerald we let a giant low loader go past us on the wrong side of the road carrying a giant front end loader in pieces. Makes your set up for the scrapers look small. Townsville to Innisfail. A lot of US troops were stationed in Innisfail during WWII. Innisfail is where I handed over the truck to the second driver and we then caught the bus with the Orchestra Tour back to Cairns for the night. Day off in Cairns to rest. Then flew back to Melbourne and home. Tropical Queensland is damned hot and muggy. It is also currently under about a metre of rainfall, hence vast flooding. I think that I will stick with Melbourne, Victoria. Don't like Melbourne weather ? Just wait a couple of hours for a change. 😂😂 Mark from Melbourne Australia
I like them when I can't find the lines on the 2lanes and I'm sure somebody's coming to me down the middle.time to stop and see who can give an take.no shoulders on some of our roads.don' t like oh fooey moments.
The shutter on the camera is why wheels look like they are spinning backwards or an airplane propeller is beardly moving. The barrels are for when they are going to work on the other lane........someday..........maybe..........they think.
Well Jeff, i'm glad You asked. The inside tire is protected from the air passing by so the outside tyre runs colder. Or so i've been told. The drunk bumps are positioned where they are because if they were at the edge of the pavement by the time the more-ons regained consciousness they would already be in the rhubarb. Being right next to the traffic lane has the additional benefit of collecting the screws, nails, nuts and bolts ect, so when the i-dots run the drunk bumps they can return the trash to the roadway for Your driving pleasure. I would cheerfully launch a diatribe on citizen band radio but You are probably sick and tired of a sad bass-turd bleating in Your comment section. Best Wishes to You and Yours Paydirt !
I sort of doubt that Kevin. The state of Idaho charges you 4 cents a mile just for the privilege of running their commercial license plates ! At least they did when i had equipment leased to a company in Idaho Falls in the late 1990's.

This is way better than any TV show, good tunes too!!!!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I once fell asleep at the wheel and drifted off the road. The rumble strip woke me right up. I have been a believer in them ever since.
so you were impaired? DWS?
@Jpaydirt I guess so.

Very nice. I'd almost think that you've done that before LoL 🤣
Tires are cooler outside then inside because of the air hitting them , thanks for making videos for us 😊
Jeff, you can put a sign there just have it say SHOW THEM TO ME! it works. LOL
Pretty scenery in the back ground

Some of those cars and trucks could get into a bit of a scrape[er ] if they don't concentrate.
Rumor I heard is your going to paint the engine in Petey PURPLE. Just kidding, thanks for the videos and stay safe.
The purpose of the rumble strips is to guide you in a blinding snowstorm ,as long as they re making noise your still on the road😂
That is delineator posts. Rumble strips fill with snow and ice
Great choice of music Jeff
A,

The human eye has persistence of vision too.

i still think to this day its neat that the equipment is its own trailer
Jeff wins...a comment for the algorithm
I hate the rumble strips here in Wyoming…. Hate them on the outsides and hate them on the centerline…
I like them when I can't find the lines on the 2lanes and I'm sure somebody's coming to me down the middle.time to stop and see who can give an take.no shoulders on some of our roads.don' t like oh fooey moments.

Well done team ,home again
In Colorado, I think it’s a requirement one hand on your phone and one on the steering wheel they all drive like that there . Scary
It's the great state of Idaho ware they don't even start a major road revision until late October and it takes 2 full years to do 3 miles of highway 😠
Well Jeff, i'm glad You asked.

🤩👍👍
Jeff: Don't you know? You are just supposed to pay your taxes and be quiet so rich people can enjoy their tax cuts.
Like Dump & Musk.
They top off the cows
Rumble strips keep the texters out the weeds, c'mon?
Inside tyre is warmer because of the curvature of the earth!!
Refrigerated methane is liquefied natural gas. Keep on truckin Jeff. Lazy cold day here in northern Idaho.
Farts?
@@JpaydirtDinosaur
@@Jpaydirt cow farts!
Holding a GoPro on a pole out the window or texting while driving, both a recipe for disaster, Cheers.
Here for the doing it wrong comments from down under.
7 th for the algorithm..😂😂😂..c mon
That refrigerated methane could have been for Trump's buddy Musk's rocket of his other buddy Bezos's rocket.
Trump just signed an order to simplify regulations, Maybe all this trucking heavy load by the mile BS will com to an end....
