its not wild, it just went pro. same as all other sports around the world, pro players at the top of their game usually end up respecting their peers because they know how hard everyone is working to be there and to play at that level, the shit talking at a pro level just comes across as amateur and cringe a lot of the time. I can respect its a part and parcel of cod tho but im not surprised its gotten alot more tame.
@@Jockuptown Agreed. It's like there is still a bit of entertaining toxicity in their shit talking reminiscent of a typical COD lobby, but at this level it's expected to be a bit more filtered. Same with the FGC, it used to be a lot more high strung with irl events, but everyone got a bit older, things got more corporate/mainstream, and there is a lot more eyes from the outside watching. Everyone talks their shit here and there but with grace, and the use of "innuendo pop-offs" or silent statements like teabagging and time scumming send a message as well.

@gunganeseegorgian8042 a lot of stuff got kept quiet, so we dont know a lot of the situations, but pretty much he was outed as being a weirdo and sexually harrasing a lot of different people at events - quite a lot of people had stories but again not too many were made public but were old to the people in the scene that mattered, you might be able to find posts on reddit or twitter about it but yeah, thats why he was pretty much excommunicated from the scene
